Oops! I thought I had never heard this song before, but it started to sound familiar part way through. That's why the title says first time hearing with a question mark. Sorry for any confusion, although no one was as confused as me!. LOL

I'm shamelessly replying to my own message. LOL

No worries, I just subscribed and a great reaction. Pink Floyd is well known for being better suited to headphone listening and with full attention rather than it being in the background at a mall as you noted.

It's all good. Now you know exactly which tune you have listened to. Consider it a learning experience in which you'll know this song by name and which album it was on. Love your reactions.

Yes, I agree with the other comments. You are super unique and I love that you are your own person. The other female reactors seem to copy each other.
    You are awesome!

Since Dark Side of the Moon is a concept album, you'll hear many elements that had not been used to record up that time. The sound effects of actual money and cash registers was something like they did with "Time" with the clocks and bells. Allen Parsons (pre-Allen Parsons Project) was a producer for Dark Side and was very instrumental with the recording and ideas. The song itself is talking about the pros and cons, to have or have not, and what if questions to having money and it's trappings with worldly goods.

I love your reactions. They are engaging and amusing in equal measure. I would really love to see you react to "Blue Monday" by New Order. It was the song that redefined dance music in the 1980's.

I love how you posted that twice. 🤗. In all honesty I find you refreshing to all the stale same same content on youtube.

Stereo sound had just been invented shortly before this album was cut so it was a new toy to play with.

Good morning, Pink Floyd is one of the early album sequencing-and smart sequencing to flow into the next creating a Concept Album adding the bonus of listening to the entire album. The Beatles "Sgt Peppers" is created by most as the first Concept Album, The Who' Ablum in 1969 is considered 2nd. Both bands were heavy influences on Roger "The Nazi" Waters.

Some of the swirling sound you hear is the guitars Leslie cabinet. It has a speaker that slowly rotates giving a warped effect. Also, the producer did a lot of panning left to right to layer or texture the sounds.

Pink Floyd designed to "tickle" your neurons!
Its OK if you don't feel but it's something else if you do!
BTW you may have felt it stepped up between the Sax and Guitar solo. It did. For the Sax they are playing 7 beats to the bar but step up to 8 beats for the guitar solo.
Dave Gilmour said it made his Guitar part easier..... Sure Dave you would struggle in 7/8 timing... NOT! 😂😂😂

Have you heard the Eurithmics "Love is a Stranger"? If not a reaction is almost necessary. Love watching you!

So many PF songs to react to. But, I'd recommend watching "High Hopes" .from the "Pulse" concert next.

At the end the voice you hear in the background is a roadie talking about an argument he had with his girlfriend because he came home drunk.
