    The reason the first chorus says "i don't like cricket oh no, i love it" is because at the time the West Indies were the World Champion Cricket team... their fast bowlers were 6'5" plus and bowled the ball at speeds of 150 kms per hour, they were f**in' scary intimidating!

    If you look back at the histories of these guys, you'll find that every one of them was a very accomplished musician before 10cc. Gouldman wrote some of the biggest hits of the 60's, particularly for the Yardbirds.

    Graham Gouldman said he was holidaying in Jamaica and while out walking cut between a group of young men engaged in conversation, one of them yelled 'Don't you walk through my words, show some respect', and that's where the idea for the song came from.

    Rubber Bullets, The Worst Band in the World, Lazy Days, How Dare You? and Art For Art's Sake are all great tracks and show how 10cc has many varied styles.

    While I won't say I'm a huge 10cc fan or anything, they're criminally underrepresented on reaction channels, not counting their song, 'I'm Not In Love'. 'Dreadlock Holiday' is one of my favorite songs.

      @StevenQ74 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, reaction channels need more 10cc, Supertramp, Dire Straits and Genesis
      Evberybody's already reacting to Queen, wich is a great band, but the 70's and 80's had many more

    Alan White the great drummer of YES the greatest Prog Rock band in History has died....R.I.P. You may want to react to some of his drumming work of art.

    There are so many great tracks full of humour and musical brilliance. The thinking mans pop band in the 70s. My fav was probably ‘Second sitting for the last supper’ with ‘Art for arts sake’ and ‘I’m Mandy Fly me’ close behind. .)

    For a different feel, less poppy, try their longer pieces like Feel The Benefit or One Night in Paris.

    I strongly recommend listening to 10cc's Feel the Benefit. Fantastic song and also very different from the first two you've reacted to. Cheers!

    You've covered their mid and late 70s work. Try Rubber Bullets from their early 70s work and something completely different again! Great band.
