Regarding the Bluetooth headphones, if you have a pair that NEEDS an app to connect through and you can't connect them without the app at all, you might not be able to use it despite downloading the APK. I got a pair of B&o Beoplay E8 which I sideloaded the apk for, but even though they connected in the app and Bluetooth like normally, no audio came through. Although it could be me who just can't find a dedicated "audio source chooser" setting anywhere
Also, if you want to lay down and watch or play something(until Meta makes windows moveable anywhere on the quest itself), you can freely move windows with your screen around using airlink so you can lay down and watch anything with the screen above you. The PC version of the Oculus interface/hub has had completely freely moveable windows for years. I remember back in the day with my CV1 Rift I got my roommate to play World of Warcraft laying down in my bed with the keyboard and mouse on his side and the window straight above him. His reaction was priceless

You can also increase your CPU/GPU speeds the same way, but these also reset themselves to default. Also.. it's interesting to me that you mentioned casting to the PC is also available. I had the worst time casting to my new Samsung Q7... but PC and phone were so easy and also the first options I saw when you select "cast" from the share button. I bought the kiwi battery strap and a two external battery pack. They are smaller like 6kmah but are perfect weight and size to counter weight. I tried a bigger one and it was uncomfortable. The ones I have show the actual battery percentage so I know where it's at exactly. I usually don't play long enough to go through the battery but close sometimes. If I want to continue playing after short break I just exchange the portable battery for the fully charged one. Definitely recommend

I have problems with charging my quest while playing. I don't even use a power bank, just a normal wall outlet that I know works fine along with an oculus approved charger. While not playing, it charges fine, but while playing I notice it can't quite keep up. I still lose battery, albeit slower than before.
Now I am by no means, a new quest user I bought the quest 1 when it first came out and have enjoyed it for all the time I've had it but with christmas I will be getting a quest 2 and this video is going to help me so much
I'm getting mine for Christmas so I'm just binge-watching all these types of vids to see what I can get from them. Just 4 more days to go! Can't wait!! (and I am a first time Vr user, so this will be really exciting for me!)
Perfect timing on this video! I have a couple friends buying the Oculus for Xmas. I just shared this video to get them up to speed on all the stuff it can do that they are not aware of. Plus now you may have more subscribers!
I have now had mine a bit under a month. I am so glad I decided to go for it (and that I had a family member willing to let me use their FB, as mine no longer exists due to some issues FB had with my legal vs display name a few years ago). I am eagerly awaiting the conversion to Meta accounts or whatever they do to purchase one for a friend!
Awesome!! After watching this video, I’m definitely subscribing. There are so many things I’ve been asking myself how to do, and I’ve had the OQ2 since like 2 weeks after it was released. Time to check your other videos!
Being able to reset the play space from the app is really good idea I didn't know you could do that, me and my son had beat saber cast to the TV last night and were playing together I had to keep going over and taking the remote off him to reset it when he moved about lol so maybe I will cast it to my phone instead next time so I can control it.
Am I just stupid right now? But does these new "upgrades" for the Quest 2 allso transfer over to when you use it as a PC-VR headset? like when your using Virtual Desktop or something like that? Talking about the resolution and FPS boost. Total noob to all of this :P
You can technically do it but for the solution I know you need a PC and fast internet(I'd guess around 100/100 Mbps). If you use the Playstation PC program to mirror your screen, you could fire it up through airlink and because it's the PC version of Oculus software, you can lay in your bed whilst having your Playstation screen hovering above you and play with the controller in your hands. Haven't tried it myself but if you have slow internet latency might get exagerated by technically running 2 mirroring instances which increases the chance of latency.
My Quest 2 controllers have thumbstick drift so bad that the thumbstick holds itself to the left uncontrollably, do you know how to fix it or can you make a video on how to fix it.
One of my power banks doesn't always want to charge my headset. It's like it goes to sleep or something. Seems to be specific to the power bank. Also bank that is under 2.4A output may not be able to keep the Quest battery charged 1:1 but it should greatly slow down the discharge rate.
Thanks for all your great information. I have just 1 question....do you need to reset resolution every time or will it remember it ?? Excellent channel. Have a great Christmas !!!
Great video! You just earn my sub man. Keep up the great work! Ps, does reaching out to oculus support really work? I won’t need FB after that? What does one say to the support team when you reach out to them? Lol

hey that's me! I'm a new VR player with quest 2. Can't wait to jump into it
there a silicon hand strap you can buy for the quest 2 controllers also thanks so much for the whole video if wasen't for you i whould never get even close to using my quest as i m using now
I have problems with charging my quest while playing. I don't even use a power bank, just a normal wall outlet that I know works fine along with an oculus approved charger. While not playing, it charges fine, but while playing I notice it can't quite keep up. I still lose battery, albeit slower than before.
Thank you very much! My Quest 2 is coming and I stuck with your videos. Peace!
i was thinking about what settings in side quest are now relevant and that will make a difference now at the end of 2021
Now I am by no means, a new quest user I bought the quest 1 when it first came out and have enjoyed it for all the time I've had it but with christmas I will be getting a quest 2 and this video is going to help me so much
Nice! You finaly got a sponsor!
Thank you I just got mine cant wait to open it with family on christmas day
hope you're enjoying your new chair!
I'm getting mine for Christmas so I'm just binge-watching all these types of vids to see what I can get from them. Just 4 more days to go! Can't wait!! (and I am a first time Vr user, so this will be really exciting for me!)
2:29 The resolution changer doesn't work anymore with the latest update (v35), for me at least.
I change the rez while in game and it closes the game, when i open it again the game crashes instantly. Beat saber ver1.16
to be honest you dont see a diffrence in the lobby but in a game its a HUGE diffrence
Perfect timing on this video! I have a couple friends buying the Oculus for Xmas. I just shared this video to get them up to speed on all the stuff it can do that they are not aware of. Plus now you may have more subscribers!
i was be able to use hand tracking system with the ALVR app emulating valve index controllers through the app and playing VRChat and stuff...
Thanks for the timestamp for the sponsor mysticle, I already use opera gx and it's basically light weight chrome with custom ram limiters
My Friend Is Getting A Quest 2, I Shared This With Him, Thank You Mysticle
Congrats on the sponsorship!!
I just used my quest 2 for the first time now I have a good reason to watch this
Yooo the controller grip thing... DOPE! 8:00
Glad you're taking care of yourself bro. Thanks for all you're videos!
Holy shit Opera have finally made themselves known! I love this new approach and I'm glad they sponsored you that's so cool
Happy to see Opera GX. Congrats!
I thought changing to a higher resolution resulted in weird visual abnormalities. Has that changed in an update or something?
Is that a new camera placement 🥶🥶
it would be dope if i could wirelessly connect my console to my oculus along with dual sense support
Haven't tried it myself but if you have slow internet latency might get exagerated by technically running 2 mirroring instances which increases the chance of latency.
does changing the performance/resolution settings have any effect on oculus link/airlink?
Wonder if webull works on oculus. Just ordered one I'm so excited
I’m getting a quest 2 this Christmas. I’m gonna use a link cable too so I can play games like boneworks
Do you have a specific IR light you can recommend?
My Quest 2 controllers have thumbstick drift so bad that the thumbstick holds itself to the left uncontrollably, do you know how to fix it or can you make a video on how to fix it.
I love your vids!!! I’ve been watching for months now
I don't comment much on youtube in general, but this was a great video. Good job!
One of my power banks doesn't always want to charge my headset. It's like it goes to sleep or something. Seems to be specific to the power bank. Also bank that is under 2.4A output may not be able to keep the Quest battery charged 1:1 but it should greatly slow down the discharge rate.
Mine has 2.1A and it definitely reduces the discharge rate a ton. Good to know 2.4A is about 1:1 battery level maintenance
I have the VR Power and love it. I could, if I wanted to, play for 10 plus hours on a single charge.
I may hunt down a Quest 2 sometime after the holiday buying blitz is over with. I have a Quest 1 already
Lol
hey man its okay if you need to take a break. you do so much work for the VR community, you're gonna get tired
Good one. Fact of controlling VR from the app was very usefull. :-)
thank you for all the videos you put out, have a great christmas and rest well!!
Help. I am having trouble finding where I go inside the side quest to find the apk I downloaded so I can add to the quest. I only have an android phone. Wont work on my chromebook. Did I miss it in your video? If so, timestamps please.
