Wirtual just slowly realising that his new line just put him from mid table to top 10 is gold
time stamp? :)
Time plz 🥺
About 19:00
What changed. It all looked the same
@@y-rokenjnr6157 some small details, smooth transitions from jumps and such in the beginning. It makes all the difference
I’ve never once played this game but I’ve watched almost all of your videos. You are an amazing content creator.
I wonder how many of us there are.... Never played a Track Mania game in my life but I can't get enough Wirtual!!!
@@THEGUARDIANSTACO117 Yea i was one of those people too. I bought the game and its been a blast, but remember that your driving will look horrible compared to him. He makes it look so easy.
You can play the campaign maps for free if you have a pc. I've dabbled a bit because I enjoy the content but I don't play very often
@@mcmurkington I didn’t know that, I may have to check out the campaign tracks.
@@TownieFormal i think its only the current seasons campaign so right now spring 2022 but its still 25 tracks to try to learn how to play and see if you enjoy the game enough to spend money
honestly this map could easily pass for a campaign map in the next game if they played with sceneries more
Exactly, it has a similar vibe to TM^2 Valley or Canyon, where they went all-out on the scenery aspect of the tracks.
@@WackoMcGoose honestly some of my favorites
@@WackoMcGoose They also got some nice scenery in turbo, until you fly off the map and see they ruines graphics of mountains en ground far away, probably for faster framerates
Yeah this map is awesome, it is easy to learn for beginners and hard to master for experts, its general theory which game designers, level designers etc. all look for. Its the recipe to create that that’s usually the challenge
@@jasperwiersmaframes are everything in this game, a necessary sacrifice for a fraction of a second less time
I love how this game is so engrained into you that you intuitively, even subconsciously, make your way to the best line over time.
Title: found a new line
Reality: I have no idea why I'm suddenly faster
I never watched/played racing games but since i once stumbled on one of you’re videos i can’t get enough of them. Keep up the great work!
This is the start of something wonderful for you
Your
Same!
I also haven't played any racing games apart from old nfs mw but after finding Wirtual channel I tried Trackmania and absolutely loved it, you should try it too!
@@nukewurld your*
Watching AR_Down in the last few runs was crazy. Consistently middle of the pack for a lot of the run, but coming out of that last wallride they rocket up to max speed and start pulling ahead every time. They are the only one in the group that goes wide setting up to that wallride.
just testing lines in the first half, racing them in god-like speed in the important ones ^^
It's crazy that Wirtual suddenly got better without realizing it. It's like he subconsciously found the optimal line.
He is so good at figuring stuff out and being well-rounded he just figured out the actual optimal way.
@@ac0unt_un04timestamp?
14:25 is just perfect
19:07 cleanest run. 19:27 He went from big bumpy jumps to small smooth hops.
Wirtual is scarily consistent it's insane and through his consistency he only get's better with every run
It’s the jump at 20 seconds during the lap. Jumping up higher has a bigger slope, more speed.
imo i think it’s also the cleaner cuts across the grass corners at like 14 seconds, since that’s when his splits started jumping up too
and in the bigger jumps where he turns in the air, that made a huge difference
After the wallride at the start he starts getting closer to the tree on the left of his car, starts to get a speed slide on a section he was going straight on from what i could see but i imagine it was a combo of things
19:30 gets good lines
Hero 🙏🏼
Love you dude
tysm m8
thanks
Dude I love watching your cup of the day's. You really know how to make it all entertaining!
Can we also appreciate how damn good the author time on this map is, I didn't see a sing person beat it I'm cup of the day
13:27
I love this games community, they hype eachother up and that’s awesome! Love to see it
another great story told with Agrabou in the final after only ever getting 41st, but not every day do legends fall, GGs to AR_Down!
Something to do with the variable geometry of the rolling hills allows Wirt to transition from inefficient lines to a line that better holds the force and angle of the grass slide
Yeah, cleaner landing on first jump with better angle kept the initial speed and allowed for some better steering, and combined with the big left after the turnover which had a small hop that gave him a much better angle to retain and build speed.
Kinda crazy how tiny interactions like that produce such huge changes.
Since the map is called Rorvik I guess it represents Rørvik.
The large bridge might be the Nærøysund bridge, the ferry seems to be a generic Norwegian ferry and tower might be Rørvik-Ryum Airport.
Hey Wirtual
I started playing teackmania about over a month ago and having quite some fun slowly improving
On the sausage map i reverse smurfed and ended in div 14 (got quickly knocked out tho)
thanks for the videos :]
26:04 legendary timing
7:19 I replayed the entirety of deltarune just to remember what theme was playing there. I cant remember something as simple as " Field of Hopes and Dreams" but I can remember "Androphonovania"
Man its fun watching you play trackmania and makes me forget what time it is
Thanks for sharing your passion with us
Wirtual is the best Trackmania streamer I know and always will be!
it makes sense that some many of the top players are german.... we practise fullspeed every day on the autobahn kekw
Wo er Recht hat, hat er Recht
I really appreciate this title. It gives a hint about the content without spoiling anything.
Hey you see I don't mind the cuts in between rounds but don't cut things like when he checks the WR run and stuff I feel like that's important to let in
wirtual posting makes my day bareable
Wirtual finshing at the middle of the pack: I sleep
Wirtual suddenly setting Top 10 times: *real shit?*
Literally only one person beat the author medal (and GPS time) during the time attack!
Shows how good a driver the author is
14:26 Yooo that perfect window jump was satisfying
The scenery legitimately makes this track. Like, aside from the distinctive UI and cars, you could _easily_ convince me this is an official track from another racing game franchise.
It looks a lot like art of rally
and this is why wirtual is one of the top world players. He finds a better line mid-game and implements it subconsciously without even knowing what he changed.
5:15 nice spot wirtual is at 😹
"Why am I fast now?"
Because you began to believe.
I love your videos keep up the good work
15:23 My Days on this track are numbered. 25:23
Magically gets better and better.
Can I just say that i am amazed that he can entertain me on the same level when he is in his Livestreams as with his Main channel "Documentarys"?
18:49 Wirtual is the evolution of a twitch chatter
Wirtual: Let’s go probably looked like a serial killer
Me: *Rewinds* Oh dear lord, have mercy in my soul
Wirtual’s glare when he’s focused genuinely scares me
fun fact: at 1:04 Wirtual gets overtaken by the guy who stole his map :D
Would love to see a F1 sector break down of each round for you lol.
Are all the songs edited in singularly or are they in a playlist? If so can someone give me the link to it? I'm drawing blanks to so many songs, and i dont know a lot of them either!
Thank you for reading and for your time! Have a good day/ night!
I need a hero to show me a side by side of wirt on the 'good' line he finds and the 'bad' line he starts out on...because I cannot see any difference at all.
edit: Ok, I tried to watch his run at 12 min and his run at 22 min and the difference I see is him exaggerating the things he mentioned after the gps watch: he's even lower on the enterance to the turn over and even tighter to the inside on the next turn. People who know anything, is that right?
edit 2: right after I resumed to video at the run through 23:45, he says it's a bad start after being wider on the next turn, but what looked about the same out of the turn over. I don't get it.
The very first jump. He changes his approach. He turns sharply on it. After the jump, he makes a very sharp right turn. This drastically improves his positioning at the start. (you can see him go from 30th or so to top 5 or so every time he takes this turn). The rest is pretty normal.
fs in a nutshell tbh
@@username2748 is that all??? Wow. The standards are so high & even man that a little improvement like that makes a world of a difference. The fact you spot that too. You trackmania guys are insane. It all looked the same to me all I saw was his time was better. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
@@username2748 derp, it has to be before the turn over since his split is top five before he gets there. Thanks for the heads up on exactly what it was before then. I'll run the two next to each other a bunch and hopefully I see it.
edit: I see the approach to the first jump being closer to the left side of the track on the faster run. Thanks again! I also see wirt air broke on the faster run which stopped him from bouncing on the landing, maybe that helped too...I haven't even downloaded the game. I should download the game.
@@gomjabbar6246 there was also an improvement in the big left after the turnover, might have been a result of the extra speed going into it, but it seems like it was was just inconsistent with the lower speed.
I love that contemplating playing Fortnite made Wirt find a faster line lol
I like how you tap harder when you focus
That GPS run was beautiful
Hey, don't be mean. Nixolay might get one of his tracks in COTD...
...on the 1st of some month.
Maybe at 30th of february i guess he does have better chances
This COTD was fun to watch!
Author on this map is insane!
So I'm pretty sure the improvement was after the halfpipe left and the slight right between the tree, there's the wide left. I think he decided to go with a sharper left with a bit of a speed slide. Possibly somewhere else as well but... 🤷🏾♂️😅. Props to agrabou on improving that pb tho.
It was the wall ride the whole time. The entire tournament from 64 to 1 the wall ride was the thing slowing you down and putting Scrapie98 in the lead.
i have never played this game before but its so fun to watch
You were rooting for agrabou, so he went ahead and pulled a wirtual.
Love the 30:22 music: Alphonse Mouzon. Rare to hear
Time for my daily dose of WirtuaL
bro i dont even play trackmania at all and i dont know what anything means i just like watching u play it and say things i dont even know its very entertaining
and i dont even like cars
Next grass map, title should be, Pro Gamer finally Touches Grass, of course it’s all jokes and all love! Love the videos!
More adds please, I love them so much!
I'm kinda late to the party, but I want to chime in as someone who doesn't actually play the game and thus relies entirely on the visuals that I witness rather than the ingrained 'feel' and instinct of a player.
The issue that was costing you speed in the beginnings of the earlier runs (aside from misplays like clipping corners too hard) was that there were two little corners that you would 'wiggle' around. You would corner around one and then overcorrect for the next one and then have to re-correct your angle to corner the next edge. Every time I saw this wiggle I thought to myself "Dude, even I can see you are wasting movements".
Any time lost in the middle of the track was because you tried driving too straight into angled downhills and losing out on a lot of the 'down' part of the downhill. It's one of those tracks where a slightly more circuitous route is faster because of the speed pickup, like when you saw that going wide and low-to-high into the first wall ride got higher speed into the straightaway. It looked like some of the places where going wide for the steeper downhill was the optimal route, you would take a straight + shallow path into the turn and end up not getting the full downhill + turning harder than necessary when a more curved overall path would have been smoother and thus saved the most speed.
But those are just my thoughts as a youtube casual, despite my hours upon hours of watching you and others play, my mental feel for the physics engine could just be way off base.
How do you allways time the music so perfectly… I noticed that on an other vid and here again. It fits so well to what happens ingame. A Good example is the at 25:16
It's freaky how it took someone less than 15 minutes to beat the author time. When someone is good at this game, they are SO good.
This track is essentially me when I'm late to the ferry
Is this also nations forever or a different version? I’m trying to get in to trackmania and would love to play cup of the day
15:38 oh your reaction is so kind. sardoche l'aurait ban def direct lol
Something about watching the mod person try control chat and failing miserably is hilarious
The problem with this map of the day is you cannot really make mistakes. You can powerslide slightly wrong and lose 0.2 seconds, or miss a corner and hit the grass, but there are no walls, no jumps, nothing that can go wrong to turn things around, it all comes down to whoever gets the worst line in that run and you just need to hope more people make micro mistakes to keep you in it.
The upsidedown is a random number generator that decides your place without reason
I got beat by AR_Down the fastest man in town, AMA
xD
Well done though, seriously! Winner of hearts
That Down line at before the downhill though
I really like this tournament format. Some leeway for exploration first, then a bunch of elimination rounds.
during the song that starts at 25:15 I could some people of culture in chat, they shall all receive elven kisses.
24:12 the song is bossa uh. I listen to it all the time
Just started the video, I'm gonna try calling it now.
"Oh my god full inside???"
Dang, not this time
@@chewparka Where did he find the faster line?
the fact that i never skipped a cotd video means that they are so fun!!
What is that raid boss of an author time? Nobody got author that entire tournament. Even GPS was .005 behind author.
i saw when they were doing the registration yami beat the author time but in the actual tournament nobody did
Is it me or it's just when he drives on the dark green before the loop that he gain lot more speed
7:20 holy shit that's my favourite remix
such a beautiful, curiosity peaking title
when you say to wirtual "git gud" and he actually gits gud
9:07 lmao well now that you pointed it out...
That author time is cracked
When it comes to steak I always keep it simple salt pepper and garlic powder And then cook it medium rare
I think Wirt has a strange idea of what NASCAR is. Even ignoring the grass, it's just like a short oval, no tech, full speed turning left all day.
Map: Rorvik
Wirtual: "So we had Rőrvík"
Have you ever thought about being a tm commentator? you're so good at it x)
The difference was he opted for a bigger corner skip around 25-30 seconds before the second wall ride
What is the song playing in the background starting at 3:06? I’ve heard it before and it’s killing me that I don’t know it.
i like how u say it like it the swedish town called rörvik
15:35 lmfao
RIP agrabou, would've loved the underdog story this would've made
I don't have a pc so I've never personally played the game and I've been watching since 2020
Ayo great content i love it
when i heard bubble tea - a dark cat orchestration i almost came
Watching this after the clip of wirtual getting a nixolai map randomly. god it hits different and i see why nixolai will never get a cotd map
@GoodTeswithScar Timelapse music at 26:00?
Author time is cracked on this one, holy shit.
love from Canada
