This show just seems so ugh beautiful. And the fact that the cast is so small is what makes it so special. No crazy choreography, just a story with amazing songs and a great message I NEED TO SEE THIS.
ok, i have never seen larry and cynthia hugging during you will be found, and when i saw larry’s reaction and then cynthia running up to him for a hug, that just literally broke my heart. that moment is so raw and powerful. holy shoot!
In many versions, you can also read Larry's lips saying "that's my son" over and over again. That is the ultimate heartbreak moment where he really shows you he's coming to grip with the death of his son. Such a powerful musical.
It's not easy to record and broadcast live music on tv and the theater is not equipped for it. As for the autotune on the lead, Idk why they would do that.

DistrictScarlet I’ve seen the show twice, original cast. Regardless of their stamina to sing live or not, the auto-tuning on this recording is awful. Lip sync to live vocals like they do at Macy’s. And if other casts can sing live from their theater, so can Evan Hansen’s. That cast is incredibly talented and all are healthy vocalists, they are perfectly capable of singing one song live.

has anyone noticed the coreography parallels between this scene and waving though a window, starting at 3:43? the positions are very similar but in waving through a window they turn their backs to evan, and in you will be found they are facing him, because he is finally being seen (for the wrong reasons, but still). genious
My college choir sang this for our concert with 2 other songs for suicide awareness. This was the last song and no matter how many times we performed the pieces, hardly any of us had a dry eye. We had more tears when we performed at a high school that had gone through many suicides. It meant so much to perform there and we could see the songs impacted each student. Remember, even as we go through rough times, you will be found.
I am 13 and even though I have friends around me. At home it’s a nightmare and I feel alone I tell myself the most worst things and music is my way of escaping the real world and once I found this song i felt like I was free and I wasn’t alone anymore

I remember noticing that moment in the show and it just breaking my heart too. It's those little things that add to such an amazing show.

You obviously havent seen the show, Nate. They use a lot of voice over work. It doesn't take away from the talent. Remember it's a small cast.

This isn’t original cast and what they sound like, this was lip syncing with terrible audio mixing.
The cast did an incredible job with this performance but whoever mixed the vocals did a terrible job, they sound auto-tuned.
I'm a year late. So I'll just assume you've been told that they didn't get to sing it. It was a lip synced performance, unfortunately.

When I saw this part live I cried when I saw Connor’s dad break down. It’s like he finally realizes his son is gone. Heartbreaking.
