Greetings from the uk!! Started watching your channel after the stone circle 👍 Love this style of training, your progress has been amazing!! Rings are such a great piece of training equipment, as well as sandbags of course!!
@@michaelpopkins3002 heeeeey! Thanks for being here. Yeah rings are my favorite piece of equipment. Super portable, and doing cool things on it is very rewarding! 💪
Great video! I tend to believe myself that sandbags and rings are the most effective tools for building strength and muscle, although I like all kinds of other equipment, too. Fun fact: Recently I've trained even more minimalistic, because I've trained with rings but without the ring straps 😄
@@creativetraininghacksyeah, but why use two rings for that when one is available 😅 seriously, I've seen a guy do a support hold on one (strapped) ring, both hands on it, I can't see how that's possible yet, I tried and nearly tore something 😮
@@SandbagMisfit94 definitely! Doesn’t have to be sandbags and rings, could be calisthenics, kettlebells, barbells, clubs etc. Just pick a few, put your blinders on, and work at it 💪💪
@ move, do something, try something and finding something you like and want to get good at is the key. I went from gym bro to crossfitter to creating my own spin of sandbags, calisthenics and kettlebell through trying stuff. Sure as hell didn’t start here lol
Nothing like training outdoors. I liked the regressions you showed with doing pull ups and dips with feet on that ground. Might use that for warm ups. I like 20+ rep sets to start off and I definitely cannot do that many without assistance right now.
Focus. Definitely helps to have less distractions. Paralysis through analysis is a real psychological issue these days. And I'm convinced by rings and sand already, though in my case I've swapped sand for sprints and floor work through interest and necessity. Nomadic minimalist training concepts 👌💪
@@Alien_Frog_king yeah, having so much information with just a few clicks can really be overwhelming, to the point where it’s extremely hard to decide what to do. It’s the same as scrolling through streaming platforms without watching a single show 😂
I just wanted to let you know, you inspired me with this video to make a short talking about minimalism relating to kettlebell training. I’ll post in the next couple days and give you a shoutout in it! Thanks man! 💪🏻🔥
@@John1mperial Thank you very much! I subscribed your channel too 🙂 I find, that Yoga is super complimentary for any kind of sport👍It helps me in many ways, also to focus my mind 🙂 Good for Body, Mind and Soul 👌
Great video john, two simple, cheap bits of equipment is all you need. Watching you're daily progressing with sandbag made myself get into training with them still fairly new to the game but like you said the bag is unpredictable unlike a barbell the sand/weight in bag shifting about makes it a brilliant for crazy gains.

what type of sand do you use in your sandbag?
@@neowneow13 a mix of pebbles and just plain sand used in construction that I had to dry out. Unfortunately, play sand is not available locally here.
