Hey guys! So I need a cheap (under 500€) guitar, with a good whammy bar (tremolo), that the guitar doesn't change its tune after bending the string down the first time! I hope you can help me fast, couse i have a test on a university of music in vienna in April, and I need a guitar FAST! Would be amazing if you could help me out! Greetings from Styria, Austria!
I absolutely love that Ibanez are doing the affordable line up with interesting finish. A lot of companies out there usually would just produce boring finish for their affordable line.
@@gutenbird this 1 is good, some LTD or Jackson model, would also be good. And a tip would be, if 500 is your budget, spend as close to 500 as it goes. If you have 500 for both the amp and a guitar, keep saving.
@@alemtalic5535 Thanks. I will probably test out some Ibanez guitars. Something about them are great but I will never be a shredder. I'm more into mellow music.
My first electric guitar was GIO, I recently dug it out of my parents loft and got it professionally setup and retro fitted with EMG’s. I love it, so many memories!
Beginner guitar player, just bought the grx70 in the US. What really shocks me is how well this "low end" guitar stays in tune. I expected less and got more. Thanks Ibanez!
Ibanez and Squier use decent tuners on their lower priced instruments I have found. And the neck. Good neck and stays in tune, that’s most important part of having a good instrument
The black one and the aqua blue one look outrageously cool. And they have fixed bridges on them, so the major downside that budget guitars usually deal with - cheap, terrible tremolo systems - is out of the equation. The pickups sound decent, too. Great job once again, Ibanez.
I’ve just bought myself the aqua coloured one. Have many high end guitars but the value for money on these gio guitars looks insane. Will see how it stacks up versus my rg550 !

I got a Ibanez RG220PA1 gio yesterday cant believe how great it is has a roasted maple neck, binding and shark tooth inlays even specs with these it gets expensive on most guitars
I bought this guitar about a year ago, I love the way it looks, mine is a walnut finish so it looks different from the one in the video. The only thing I don't like about it (and I mean the ONLY thing) is when you wanna play really heavy on the gain, it does sound a bit tingy, a bit cheap, but that's because it's so light in weight. I play my friends Les Paul from 1970, and it holds a tone a bit better. Both I played on my Boss Katana mk2 50w. Either way, I love this guitar, it's so light and it looks amazing, and the action on it is perfect for metal and blues.
I went through many guitars looking for that sweet spot of affordable entry level guitars and not total trash. I finally found the perfect guitar in the Ibanez GIO GRS 70 HSH. If you only have a couple hundred dollars, stop looking and get the Ibanez. There’s a lot of trash guitars out there. This one is very nice for the price and easily upgradable. The only qualms I had about it, you will have to have the frets polished. It stays in tune pretty well once you break in the trem system. I highly recommend it!
I really dig Ibanez gear. Even their Gio stuff sounds great. I play a GSR206 bass; the only thing I'd change is to get rid of the active bass boost, or just eliminate tone pots altogether.
hi mate, I also have a GSR200 bass. what do you mean by getting rid of the bost and tone pot ? can't you just turn them all down. also I see your interested in gio guitar, did you buy one since then ?
@@huzrokhayzur2197 Any tone knob, regardless of frequencies it's intended for, will attenuate other frequencies below or above it, even if you turn it all the way up. You're not experiencing the full tone of the instrument when it has tone pots; there is a loss of upper mids with a treble pot and lower mids with a bass pot, in any position. That's why some pro musicians have instruments custom made without them, so they can get a truly flat frequency response. At the very least, I want to get rid of the bass boost tone pot because it's active and requires a battery. I don't like wasting money on batteries for a function I don't even use. The only reason I haven't bypassed the bass boost pot is because I don't have money to buy a spare bass to practice on to make sure I do it properly; if I screw something up, I'm out of a bass. I owned a gsr206 when I posted the OC; it says so in the comment.

For the black Guitar, 1 thing i did notice about it is that the tuners are positioned in a way that makes the bass side strings very long, unlike most guitars.
