    Hi everyone, thank you so much for joining me in this extra long yin yoga class for deep flexibility, self-care and relaxation. This is a 90 minute full body stretch to provide you with some well deserved TLC. It's suitable for all levels and I recommend having a strap and either a bolster, a pillow or a block nearby.
    We'll go through poses like butterfly, half butterfly, shoelace, supported fish, reclined hamstring stretch and half happy baby.
    If you've been feeling depleted, stressed, burnt out or overwhelmed, this is a lovely practice to help you soothe your nervous system and get back to yourself.
    What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is often called the Yoga of the joints because unlike other styles of yoga, the emphasis is not on the muscles but on the deep connective tissue. Connective tissue is made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form your joints. Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. The results and benefits are more flexibility and greater range of motion and also more stability within your joints.
    There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.

    I love long classes. When I was in Bali, we used to do 2-hour-long classes. It was a lot but really energizing and it made me so happy and peaceful.

    I did enjoy the length of this class, but the yin yoga was far more difficult than I'd anticipated. I will keep at it until I am able to do it better. You are a wonderful instructor. Thank you for everything.

    After watching the 10 year anniversary video, seeing you upload a Yin Yoga made my heart smile. Do what YOU love and what you are best at, that’s why we love you Kassandra! You got me out of a deep depression during lockdown and doing a daily Yoga with you has been life changing. I have hypermobile EDS and yoga has helped me come to terms with my body and learning to love myself. My partner bought me your affirmation cards when I was going through a really tough time mentally, which have also been life enhancing.     Amazing 90 min practice. I do daily yoga and reformer practice but I didn’t realise how stiff my hips and lower lumbar were until this class. Such relief and release. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

    Thank you so much for this deeply calming yin yoga. Between a demanding job and cptsd, self care has always been a challenge for me, I get impatient or struggle to find comfort in long poses but after this practice I will certainly be adding your yin yoga to my weekly routine. Also wow the trauma release I experienced from the reclined half split and half happy baby poses was intense and I may have shed a (comforting) tear or two. You are wonderful at what you do, and I only wish I discovered your channel earlier ❤

    Wow, this was EXACTLY what body needed to restore and reset. My anxiety has been intense for the past few days since I've been doing a lot of core work/pilates, power flows & deep stretch splits. I felt myself getting really depleted and drained, so I needed something to calm my nerves and nurture my muscles. I'm so happy I decided to listen to my current state and do this practice. Less than halfway through, my nerves loosened, and I felt so relaxed and at ease. I loved the opportunity to calm my nervous system and enhance flexibility - always a fantastic combo! Kassandra, I've said this several times, but you're truly gifted at teaching yoga. Your practices are so personal and touching, You inspired me to gain my RYT-200 and will always be my favorite!     I'm not much yin yoga person but I have been struggling lately with my body and mind so I'm gonna have selfcare yoga evening! I put on comfy warm clothes, lit candle, filled my water bottle and made sure everything is ready for sleep after 90 minutes. Thank you beforehand💜🌉

    Deeply needed. My focus has been tattered since 2020.. I used to do long practices all the time. The shorter practices have been wonderful for a maintenance as well, but this feels like a return home and the time went SO fast. Also my cat insisted on practicing with me 🥰🥰🥰 Ty 🙏
