The young Hal-Ca has forever written her name in rock history with her outstanding expressive and technical playing. And also with her compositions, which she writes together with the band. The album "Guernica" is a real diamond in the world of rock music.

I know you're not a guitar solo guy...but I am. And I am in awe of her! This is one of my favorite songs that I've heard in the last two years. Thanks so much for the reaction, dude!

bro, they play with so much emotion that her solos are soooo good. I need to say it differently, I like solos when they are played with hewrt and emotion, not just talent.

Just a small but little known fact. The lead player Hal ca real name is Haruka. A lot of fans know that but. And here is the catch Hal ca is pronounced the same as Haruka . In Japanese the letter L is pronounced ru. So Hal ca in japan is Haru ca or Haruka.

Yeah this was awesome. So talented and passionate. Hendrix would be proud. And I don’t think I have ever seen a 7 string bass. Wow 😮

That bass would make Cliff Burton proud. The melodies are well rounded and the tone is C R I S P 🔥 solos are fricking amazing also and the drums keeps everything so tight! Overall, I loved this journey listening to Asterism.

Thoughts are useless as are deeds
Already lost is blossom of the young
    No more...
    Dreams of morning shine
    Days leep, submit to night
A curse is to live before dying
A soul torn from the life
    Withdrawn, out of sight
Birdes flew out from beautiful garden
Circle of sorrow seems to never end
Wizened are flowers, brought to monument of zeal
Bleak endless haze covers a dawn
Close to relief and waits no more
-- Yearning / Haze of Despair

Hell yeah! Great riffs, great bass, this was rad! Time to listen to some of their studio recordings, if they can sound this good in a video of this quality. Looking at their first album, 2 songs were produced by Bootsy Collins, and featured Buckethead! they were working with legends! I bet these kids have a bright future
ooh, speaking of "the season", you should all listen to Chuck Billy (Testament) and the guitarists from Anthrax doing a metal rendition of "Silent Night", off the "We Wish You a Metal Xmas" compilation album. It's like a brutal thrash rendition, almost hilariously the opposite of how that song normally sounds.

ASTERISM reaction recommendations are more for their older progressive material like this. They have a different more polished and commercial sound in their latest material, with vocals.
Personally I prefer their older more raw and progressive sound they showcase here; I hope they will revisit it.

The playing is very impressive - superb and top notch - but it is the fact that they composed this music that most impresses me. This passes the ear test on so many levels - it just sounds good. Videos of guitarists playing other people's music super fast are a dime a dozen here, but this is one of the rare ones of someone writing their own music, playing it fast and having it sound amazing. Can't wait to see how they develop going forward.

I also recommend Helga's album, enjoyed all the tracks! That beginning riff sounds like pure reason revolution, the rest of the song.. not so much lol but that caught my ear. Nice guitar tone, the solos might be a bit overdone but that's just my own opinion. Nice parts again at the end tho. ❤ and ✌️

nah, he's deceptively good ... notice the complete lack of monitors (in-ear or otherwise) , which means not even a click-track ; he's holding it down "without a net". being able to keep time like that (especially on a piece like this) is an underappreciated skill.

    • @jamesnelson1968
      @jamesnelson1968 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Double_J_48629 Then we can agree to disagree, to me he is limited in his skills, plays very simplistically and the drums stand out too much in the mix like he is over playing.

It is a fan-cam so criticizing the mix is a bit much. I don't think you will find much support in your criticism of Mio. He is not a flashy drummer and tends to just hold down the beat and stay in the background but he is very skilled.
