  • This three piece has an incredible, full, technical, awesome sound that takes you on a journey with insane guitars and impressive bass riffs all being held together with some tight drums. I look forward to seeing more of what this band has to offer and encourage people to check this band out and enjoy the ride!!!

A lot more people "definitely need to check this out"! Hal-Ca is a once in a lifetime talent... the sort of young genius who will simply leave you hypnotised into stupefaction with the things she can make that battered old Yamaha guitar of hers do. She was 16 years old when somebody recorded this in some tiny little club somewhere. I hope this video is preserved forever because you are witnessing the birth of greatness.

If I remember, they played once or twice a month at the Hard Rock in Osaka, Japan where it was filmed. Their is also a newer 55 min. concert - Tokyo, Japan "After Recording" Septemcer 9, 2022 with a good audio mix.

I discovered Asterism almost 2 years ago and have watched this video many, many times. Not only does it never get old, but I am amazed each time I watch it. I was lucky enough, at age 18, to see Van Halen live in 1979 and I was only about 10 yards from the stage. I never thought I would see a guitarist performing live that would be in the same ballpark as EVH. This performance by Hal-Ca is as close as anyone has come to equaling what I felt watching EVH

Dawn is just like a signature song for Asterism, whoever react to Asterism should listen this song and there is 2 version, as you can see live version in club and another live version in studio with 360 degree view. Another best songs from them Gunfire and Church, both live version in studio with normal view.

Yes, Asterism is an outstanding three-piece instrumental rock band from Japan. All of them are so talented and Hal-Ca, well, she’s a beast on guitar.

Thank goodness Japan is keeping the flame of rock & metal aliv e for us. Hal-Ca was about 19 years old when this was recorded. She s tarted to learn to play the guitar when she was 10 years old,

Oh shit, you jumped in the deep end! Congratulations on finding the best new power trio since (in my opinion) Cream. They are an instrumental power trio from Fukuoka, Japan. They consist of:
    Haruka Noma, guitars (“HAL-CA”)
    Miyu Yoshinaka, bass
    Mio Yoshinaka, drums
They were formed in 2014 when Noma was 11 and the brothers were 12 and 14 respectively. They were all playing at a talent fair for young musicians in their hometown, when one of the music scouts noticed them, had a hunch and suggested they play together. Most of their current youtube catalogue is fan-made live video footage, much of it at the Hard Rock Café in Fukuoka. There are also a few clips from their one tour in the U.S., when they played Austin and Los Angeles. From the start, they have written most of their own music, covering a wide range of styles.
The brothers bring a lot of jazz and funk ideas into their playing. Miyu plays 4,5 and 7-string basses, which are co-lead instruments in his hands. They are all phenomenal talents, but the big draw has been Noma, known by her first name Haruka or by her stage name Hal-Ca. She has been likened to a reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, with bits of Joe Satriani, Nuno Bettencourt and Akira Takasaki, among others, thrown in. Even in the Japanese scene, with its overload of extraordinarily technical instrumentalists, she stands out. She also writes most of the band’s music.
    Best clips to continue with:

    Bearded Bro!
Greetings again from Shizuoka City on a fine Autumn Day (the Japanese sake will taste good today!)!
I did not realize you had already reacted on Asterism and your face said it all!
Mind you, you should not be so surprised when you consider so many talents with the population of Japan, 124,000,000, who have all the time and peace to learn music with parents most of the time encouraging them!
Before I start rambling check Hiawatha G.'s superb comment!
Hal Cal (for her first name Haruka) was only 16 when she performed this piece in her native Fukuoka City.
Now, what non-Japanese might not know is that Fukuoka City is the capital of Fukuoka Prefecture in Kyushu Island at the other extremity of Japan. A land in Japan with arguably the toughest people in Japan, what with a long history of coal mines and steel plants exploited and enslaved by the Tokyo tycoons. When it comes to music they are not afraid of playing literally into your face. Miku of Band Maid also hails from Kyushu Island! But in private and during interviews they are very shy, polite and full of humility!
They have just moved to Tokyo as the they were hired by the company looking after Baby Metal.
They are mainly instrumental and write most of their music.
When they decide to play somebody's else songs check what they can do with their rendition of Ray Stevie Vaughan's Scuttle Buttin! at: th-cam.com/video/TNQ6EdAGNp8/w-d-xo.html
Now, we have to keep you in the rabbit hole! The next band to check (apart of Lovebites, Aldious, Nemophilia, etc) for original concept (needs a couple of listenings though) with another great female bassist:
Sokoninaru performing Gou ni Moyu at: th-cam.com/video/Nl4Z5f4QwEY/w-d-xo.html
Looking forward to your next reaction!
    Best regards,
    Robert-Gilles

The first full Asterism album 'Ignition' is full of relatively traditional heavy metal including this song.
    Executed at the highest level.
Their next two releases, 'GUERNICA' (2020) and 'GUERNICA + a' (2021) were more progressive.
The latest is a Japanese anime / metal cover album titled "Animetic", released on September 9th, 2022.
They each chose favorite anime themes to "Asterism-ize".
'unravel', the Tokyo Ghoul theme song is my favorite from the new album.

Hal-ca's hands just fly all over her guitar it's like she was born with that thing and i know that she gets most of the praise but this basist (Miyu) is a straight up monster, it's like having a second guitarrist, his notes are crazy good and of course Mio (drums) holds this trio together, and his sound nowadays has become even more tight, this band is just amazing.
Their song 'Rising Moon' is a great listen as well, but my favorites are 'Museum of Death' and 'Church'

This video was recorded in April 2019, the same month i discovered ASTERISM. I instantly realized their outstanding talent and quickly became a fan. Mio, the drummer and Miyu, the bassist are brothers. They were introduced to the guitarist Haruka (Hal-ca) Noma, born November 23, 2002, at a talent competition in 2014. The following year, they came back under the name HAL-CA with their original tune "Rising Moon". There's a video of that performance:
    th-cam.com/video/BMMZB4U_mEk/w-d-xo.html
My first contact with ASTERISM was a video of "Blaze" from their first one man show in Fukuoka, March 2019 at "Welcome to Inferno".
PS: I've seen you react to LOVEBITES and this is ASTERISM, good things are coming to you.
