The same colleague I mentioned under your first video also said that these three are the archangels of metal. With their music, they wrap you up in their wings, live up to their band name, take off to the stars and say 'We're out of here'. :) And in the case of Hal-Ca, with the sweetest smile. 🤭🤘🏻 _____________________ _"America invented rock. Hal-can is nothing short of spectacular on her guitar. She is an incredible musician at such young age and a master of her craft. Thanks for the video.
To be fair, Hal-Ca was just born to play this instrument. She and the guitar become one when she's playing. I'm sure way more than 90% of guitarists with decades of experience just can't reach her level.
I watched a tv music show from Japan & Asterism was a guest. The host asked Hal-Ca how she became so good at guitar. Hal-Ca replied that once she learns to play a song, she then goes into her room & turns off all the lights to play it in the dark. If she makes a mistake, she starts all over again until she gets it right. Did you notice that she doesn't look at her guitar sometimes while she plays?. She's a true master. FYI: Asterism did some live covers of groups like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Rainbow, etc...
That's really cool! I didn't really notice her not looking, but one thing I learned a long long time ago is that it's often very difficult to look at your guitar when you're playing fast. Sometimes your brain can't really process what it sees your fingers doing fast enough to keep up with what your brain is trying to tell your fingers to do for the song and it gets confused. But you've gotta be playing really fast for that to be the case (and I think it applies to some of what she's doing here). Playing the dark should work just as well! I'll look for those covers. She must be a big Richie Blackmore fan!
@@DadDaughtersandDrinks I agree with your earlier comment (earlier video) where you talked about virtuosos (virtuosi?) who just string together mountains of black notes without any seeming purpose. That does not describe Hal-ca in any way! The one thing that strikes me about Hal-ca and Miyu is how expressive they are, and Miyu's solo is that in spades. I'm eagerly waiting for your next one!
And HAL-CA (Haruka) wrote the song. : ) The bassist MIYU is closer to her age than you're thinking. He was born March 12th, 2002. HAL-CA was born on November 23rd, 2002. The "old man" of the group is MIO, the drummer. He was born on November 14th, 1999.
✨✨Album/CD IGNITION : Blaze - Light in the darkness - Midnight Hunter - Warning - *Dawn* Up the Horns - Stand up and Shout - Helter Skelter - Overdrive - God Speed you ! - Disperse Album/CD GUERNICA+a : Stars - Then&Now - Full throtlle - Museum of death - Music - Gunfire - Faced/Burned - Church - Day26 - 000
They had homework due after this set in a small cafe since they were in High School.....yeah let that sink in!!! Mio the drummer is a beast and he has to keep these 2 gang busters in line and on point in every song, no easy job to be sure. That 7 string bass is custom made for Miyu by ESP and he is 17 here playing that one of a kind instrument. Hal-Ca makes that beat up Yamaha/Pacifica sing like nothing else. There are so many influences in her playing and they were independent and fan supported till recently. Think Cream (1966-68) with Baker/drums, Bruce/bass and Clapton/guitar as the trio they will easily surpass before they are done (no drugs, no ego wars or other distractions). I really enjoy having your daughter partake, love to see them join you more, especially for Lovebites, Nightwish, etc....
Thank you for sharing this with the daughters. It's always the right time to celebrate a band led by a kick-ass woman. You have plenty of suggestions, so I look forward to more!

As one of those 90%, I concur ;-)

*"Gunfire"* and *"Church"* should be on your list. They are both live in studio recordings from 2021 with good video and sound.
Yep, both on the list. I've got more requests for Church, so that will probably be the next one.

Interesting comment on Cream - that hadn't occurred to me but I see what you mean. I told the girls there's a mandate to come record this weekend!

Thank you so much!
Yes at Last ❤.
Sweet! My memory sucks, so this is new to me.
Riiiight.....
>"this is the only song i've listened to"
>"fix that"
😂
i concur
👍👍Very nice performance and reaction. 🖖❤
Thanks!
HaL-Ca is by far the faster female shredder in Japan . Bucket Head was so impressed with the band , that he played a couple of songs on their Album .
Really? Wow, I'll have to check that out. I can imagine his style would go well with them.
When the bass have more strings than the guitar....
😂
Watch the 36O-degree Battle Sessions recorded live in their studio. You can control the camera view with your mouse.
I'll check that out!
