Microwaving frozen chicken and cutting it with scissors is genius, who knew -- I'm getting every salt this guy has -- finally a master chef who understands busy people
I’m doing this twice a week and my wife doesn’t want to order carry out anymore - it’s way better. Frozen shrimp works amazing too…makes a shrimp broth as it microwaves.
Everyone seems so upset about cooking in the microwave. It is a COOKING tool. As he says, don't use full power like you wouldn't cook something in the oven at 500 or on the stove with the flame full on. Of course, your food will be ruined. Learn to use the microwave and the power settings, 30 % power, 50 % power, etc and you will be amazed at all the uses.
This is my new favorite thing to cook 🙌🙌 Microwave chicken hacking 👌 I’m wondering why there aren’t more professional microwave recipes out there for chicken 😅
I sent this link to a person I know who really looks Dow on microwave cooking. He will defrost in a microwave but thinks it’s sacrilege to cook. He says you really just defrosted. I say you par-cooked. Who’s right?
Nah it’s good i tried it. Freezing it and finishing in the pan means that it doesn’t get that weird over/under cooked texture. The chicken basically tastes like steamed chicken, and the flavor from the stirfry is good.
Dude !! Discussing to see a professional chef microwave a chicken ... you keep bashing Americans for being lazy and cooking frozen food and your microwaving the chicken ? That’s not the right way to go ... you can easily cut it into cubes and sautéed it and add it to the veg instead of going trough the microwave ... very disappointed ☹️
You’d be amazed at how often a microwave is used in fine dining restaurants. It’s just another tool. Just because shit fast food is made in it doesn’t mean it can’t be used in a good way. You can cook shit food on a stove top or oven too haha
@@eoinmm I don’t know about that .... I myself a chef and I have a fine dinning background , we never used the microwave lol . We used fryer to deep fried bacon but not the microwave...
@@lmhidilaem2126 I’ve literally been in multiple James beard award winning kitchens that have used them for various purposes. A microwave creates heat by exciting/vibrating water. Learn how to use that to your advantage and it’s quite handy. For instance, one of the best/most efficient methods of cooking rice is the microwave.

Thanks Dave... been trying to persuade my Asian family it's OK to microwave cook and it's still tasty and the clean up is super easy
You and me both

I love how easy and simple and real this is. I would love a cookbook for these recipes!
He constantly looks like he’s on the brink of hysterical laughter
I truly believe that’s cause he is hahaha
Maybe because he can charge 12 bucks for a 4 ounce jar of seasoned salt.

Was very skeptical throwing frozen chicken in my microwave would turn out well, well I was dead wrong. This dish is incredible
i think the key to it is that it's boneless.

I have to make this. I’ve used David’s microwave fried egg recipe to great success.
Omg I am soooo excited for your content! Long time fan! Thank you for your hard work!
It would be fantastic if you could include links to spices and other products (except for Szechuan peppercorn, of course.)

"Good luck finding Sichuan pepper corns."

Gonna make this in my anyday 🍽
Im trying this out right now

This guy ever heard of 99 Ranch? Or Chinatown?
Will the Seasoned Salts make us sweat like Dave?! God I hope so.
Yes, you can make your own gravy.
I wish we could see Momofuku cooking without all the tingly savory product placement. Are y’all able to cook without your branded seasonings?

8 minutes was too long for me. I’m experimenting with 6 minutes tomorrow with a frozen chicken thigh and finish it with some fried rice and veggies 👌
@@carl_time2983 Yeah it depends on your microwave. Better to undercook and then fry it up.
Why do you hate Andrew? Who hurt you?
