Somewhere, Freddie Mercury is smiling and laughing.
In Heaven ;(
@Joseph Joestar hush...
Damn Christofascists fog with your self righteous dominionist bullshit
2:38 this brass solo absolutely moved me
THE POWER OF VIOLA
Verdade😢.
Absolutely beautiful. It may have been introduced as rock and roll but he poured his heart and soul into this when he wrote it. I've never heard this played by a full orchestra before. I only wish my wife were alive to hear it. She loved this piece of music. In my home opinion this will one day grow to be a symphonic masterpiece. And demonstrated here, it certainly proved that it belongs in a category all its own. Bravo.
I can safely say that this is one of the best things that I've seen on TH-cam.
you can see the classical music criteria Freddie Mercury had from so far away.... there will never be anyone like him. amazing this... outstanding!!!!
WOW. This is pure perfection. You just nailed it with every nuance in this masterpiece, it is beautifully arranged and perfectly played. The trumpet solo is just amazing. Nicholas- your arranging and conducting skills are legendary.
Damn that trumpet player though.
He played well but a little bit too loud!
This makes me glad to be alive.
I always wondered how that would have sounded via orchestration. It was not disappointing. Amazingly well done.
I wish I could like a video more than once. Seriously. I can't give this thing enough love.
liked for you :)
One of the best versions of bohemian Rhapsody i've ever heard.
OMG THAT TRUMPET SOLO ! in love !
Yeah, but they didn't let it finish Q_Q.
Eyye don't see a viola solo very often ☺️
thats cause violas suck, us violins are cool
nah jk violas are cool ig
As a Marine combat veteran, I would like to thank you and those other musicians for creating such beautiful music, for, it reminds me that the sacrifices made by veterans and active military are not squandered by everyone.
What an absolutely perfect instrument to characterize freddy's voice!
One of my favourite songs played by an instrument that isi near and dear to my heart!
The more somber tones of the viola fit this song perfectly.
this gives me chills every time I watch it.
This is so beautiful - i got the chills
would you say it sent shivers down your spine? **heehee**

kjohnabbott 3:00 shivers down my spine :) and starting at 4:54 oh yea and my head set vibrates. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard be played by an orchestra. Truly Genius
When we think of the central message of the song, the adaptation suits perfectly. I’m listening again and again!
this made me cry...
I am in LOVEE with this arrangement! Absolutely beautiful & props to the trumpet solo!
Best non-vocal rendition *ever*!!! Cheers to the _arranger_ and _soloists_ - great job!
This is the best instrumental version I'd ever heard in all my life, is really amazing, excellent, congratulations. I love it.
That was just so beautiful and inspiring. Wonderful arrangement and it shows the brilliance of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
This unbelievable - I love it. Makes me inspired to keep writing and exposes the true genius of Freddie Mercury and the rest of Queen. What a piece, what a performance and a great arrangement too! Congrats to all.
This is such a beautiful arrangement. When I listen to it I feel sad and it reminds me of Freddie :(
Well that was far more amazing than I expected!!! This song has always meant a lot to me since I very first heard it when it came out. Bravo to the orchestra, Freddie would be very proud indeed~ 👍
"You can do whatever to my music, just don't make it boring"
- Freddie Mercury (Queen)
Bohemian Rhapsody one of the best songs until this day :D
Lovely viola playing - well done!

Emocionante!!! Me arrepiei e chorei. Lindo
I love how much the conductor is feeling this... This is just so beautiful
This is the best arrangements, I love this more than any other orchestra cover of this song. This is the best
I love how this has been translated into an orchestral piece - the vocals Queen uses lends so nicely to this form. And I love the viola for something different - it has such a beautiful mellow sound which can also be very powerful!
Indiana University and Queen. Two of my favorite things. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe this version. Well done, Mr. Hersh. You led some great talent and Ms. Harball was fantastic. But then again, this is coming out of the IU School of Music, so I don't expect anything less. Bravo.
what's so great is that you know everyone is singing the words as this plays
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.. This translates so well into orchestral... wow!!!
'' people who say you cant do magic by waving a wand in the air probably never went to any good synphony/orchestra live''

L'arrangement est PARFAIT ! Rien à dire un grand BRAVO !!!
Beautiful. I'm not normally a big Queen fan but that was simply fantastic. Loved it.
Beautiful! I come back to this every few months. I like this version better than the later studio recording, but both are outstanding.
I think the pacing is slightly better on the studio version but this is still amazing
You know what I love about this it incorporated the different styles of Classical Music with what little I know starting with the very classical Violins then the flutes with a touch of Jazz with the Sax or Horns then the William Overtelll/ school drumline feel on the end
just incredible!!
Absolutely beautiful
gives me chills everytime
this was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard I love music but now I Adore music the sound alone makes life worth living
this is amazing!!
I have watch other orchestral version of this song and they do not compare! Not even the London Philharmonic! This is stunning! Shivers down my spine indeed!

Sounds so presidential, and theatrical at the same time. Simply stunning!!!!

Wow. Music can narrate beyond the narration of words... to the point where one is left speechless.

Absolutely gorgeous and a real tribute to Freddy and the boys of Queen.
"All due credit to Queen in their infinite glory" Classy upload Nicholas Hersh, well played sir.
Really great rendition!
Beyond Extraordinary!
This is lovely it made me like classical music even more
Awesome!
Just terrific!!
Love the trumpet and in general brass section in place of heavy (awesome) guitar
For such a Advanced sounding piece , all the sharps and flats, quite amazing, but what really gives the Flavor is one might call it , was the Splendid Violist, i myself, thought it was lovely, although i am just one person, anyone with fine taste could see, although, I myself was over joyed before watching this because I myself Play the Viola, I'd like to compliment the Intonation of everyone at all times, lost of practice must have gone into this piece indeed.Good Job.
Excelente arreglo orquestal y magnífica interpretación.
that trumpet was on fiiirrrrrrrreeeee
Epic spectacular.!!!
Wow… almost cried xD
A friend posted this on her FB page via wimp.com. Blown away by the fact that I had never heard a symphonic version of this song, I searched for any of the biggies' versions of this, and I found London Symphony Orchestra and London Philh. versions, among others, and I have to say your arrangement is far superior to, and certainly more faithful to the original, than either LSO or LPO, and the musicianship is almost as good ...at least to my untrained ear! Incredible effort! This HAS to go viral!
After years of practice and being labeled as a "Band" nerd..... Then you get to play this!!!! Priceless!!!!
superb version of the Bohemian rhapsody :) moved me very much and im sure freddy likes this :)
Nicholas, a truly AMAZING arrangement. None of what is in here isn't authentic Queen, but you realized the vision Freddie had when coming up with it. Parts of this truly sound like they were always meant to be heard this way, particularly the "opera" section. It sounded right out of a Rossini overture! Bravo to you. Brava to the violist. Bravo to the trumpeter, bravi to the orchestra! Do the world a favor and publish this arrangement (if you haven't already).
In fact, almost all Freddie's compositions have symphonyc bases...😊
this is so great i swear
Simplemente perfecto!!!
wow! meraviglia!
so beautiful
Sarah is great,but I agree,Patrick's trumpet solo rock's
And you still can't help but sing along with it.
When I got to the part of "Mama, just killed a man..." I nearly bust out laughing. THANK YOU, again!
i have goosebump all over my body..
magnífico
