I can almost guarantee that beta Simisear was cut so that Americans didn't get offended by the monkey pokemon that just eats food and is fat, in the 1st region based on America.
That og simipour sprite despite being much more similar to its final design is also clearly restaurant/food theme. The belly fur looks like an apron and instead if waving he's posing his hand like he's holding up a tray. He's a waiter! Also, that OG rotom wash was most likely just designed after a top loading washing machine instead of a front loading one. The hose and the plug definitely say still a washing machine, not a sink. I wonder if they also noticed the toilet similarity and thats what motivated them to change it.
For the water starter Bunny, yeah, it obviously got turned into Scorbunny, however, i can also see it having heavily inspired Buneary here. ngl, i prefer the beta Treecko over regular Treecko. The gen 5 dino looking thing absolutley served as inspiration for Baxcalibur. Looking at the Gen 3 beta mons, i can see some Pokemon in later gens that were supposed to come out in gen 3. Lets look at the top row, the bear like creature. That 100% inspired Beartic, but not only Beartic, it also have Pink/Purple lines... so it might have served as inspiration for Mienfoo/Mienshao too. Top row, the Snake - Snivy line. Second Row, the Yeti... Abomasnow. Second row - Hippopotas (Hippo), but i can also see some Snom in it as well. Second row - 2 spaces apart from the Hippo - Beta Happiny perhaps? Creature next to the cactus with the green hair > Mareanie line. Interesting notice as well is that we have Simisear and Simipour there, but not Simisage... maybe they were supposed to be a duo at first before they came to the conclusion they could do a trio with them covering the starter triangle. People speculating beta Rayquaza... nah... its probably supposed to be a beta Milotic.
10:30 Looks like someone might've been inspired by Bubble Tape's packaging (it even has the same coloring and the tongue could be like the gum sticking out) 17:40. Looks like a living smurf hat That Yin-yang Absol is something. But yes. a good amount of these look good enough to been added.
I didn't expect HnH to cover the Teraleak on his channel. But I have to say that the concept art they did for the third generation reboot is interesting, especially the dog, early Cacturne and stone abomination. They apparently intended to take Pokemon in a more edgier and darker Monster Hynter style direction, but in the end decided to stick with their own Pokemon style. And perhaps the reason for copying the Monster Hunter style would have been that the Monster Hunter series was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s and a competitor to Pokemon. But the leaked concept art can also be interpreted as mimicking the style of Digimon, another early competitor to Pokemon. But if Pokemon had been rebooted in that planned style, the series would look much different than it does today.
I always think about an alternate universe where the Pokémon we have are beta designs and these are the ones we have. Also some of these all look like JRPG random spawns. I know Pokémon takes inspiration from Dragon Quest and you can really see it here.
All of these beta and cut Pokemon are amazing Though I remember that there were like over 450 Pokémon that were designed for black and white and 294 were cut and we ended up with the 156 we know of Hopefully the Pokemon Tera leak continues showing more cut Pokemon, especially the hundreds of cut Pokemon from gen 5
*Flying* Castform...? To go along with the *Flying type weather,* right? If they had only designed a weather about Sandstorms that probably coulda made a cool beta form.
I would have liked the water bunny for the pun that it's a literal sea hare. Lol (A sea hare is some kind of aquatic snail.) That and it's really adorable.
I didn't think about it until you mentioned it in the video, but beta Sableye? Look at it next to Mega Sableye. Generations later, it looks like they clearly revisited this beta design when they were working on the Mega 👀
It would be cool if they could include some of these unused designs either as regional variants or entirely new Pokemon, especially the big dinosaur guy you pointed out!!!
the Rotom is definitely a washing machine as it has the water hose and power cord, but as you pointed out it’s also far too much like a sink or toilet which explains the redesign into a front-loader instead of top-loader
There are A LOT of sound based pokemon in the gen 3 sprites, not confirmed but after seeing them It seems pretty likely that they originally had planned to add the sound type

I can almost guarantee that beta Simisear was cut so that Americans didn't get offended by the monkey pokemon that just eats food and is fat, in the 1st region based on America.
The only leak ls you mentioned that I think are better than what we got is Licklicky and Nuzleaf, for the rest I'm glad they kept working.
Business of its color scheme?? Liepards purple and yellow. How is that busy
Purple and yellow often go together, so I prefer the final design than the beta design that feels edgy.
The water bunny would have been so perfect for the tubers. Honestly the tubers feel like they may have even been inspired by this bunny.
The water bunny clearly became Buizel and Floatzel
That Rotom is actually a washing machine..
The hose and plug.
Washing machine has a hose in the back to get rid of water.
Im pretty sure wash rotom was a top loading washing machine a sink or toilet doesn’t have a power source
A toilet does if it’s a bidet
I really hope they have some gen 1 and 2 stuff. Getting those frontsprites will make it feel complete.
I agree, hope this Tera leak includes them
I would say that the wind form castform is actually the sandstorm form, also because of the colour. Apparently they decided later to replace it.
That wash rotom is a washing machine still, just the old top loading one and doesn't have the lid on it.
4:10 I think that's Beta Druddigon.
En sí, ese es el diseño de dragón más genérico que puede dar Gamefreak con su estilo característico.
I thought the same thing too but when I looked more closely it’s very different from Druddigon
@@nazeersadek6705 I mean you can still kinda see the similarities, so yes it's very different but that's how it came to be.
With a less shaded Druddigon design popping up I feel it's less likely and I do just mean less shaded as it had the exact details outside of shading
@@st4r64 guys beta Druddigon was found this is a different Pokémon maybe it’s an evolution for it
My favorite design is the beta Lickylicki!
It’s design reminds me of a yokai called the Wanyudo that is a wheel with a face!
Pero, el diseño beta de Lickylicki ya se sabía desde hace varios años. Pero, este nuevo sprite es ligeramente diferente.
The video is like:
This is the beta ____ and it looks way better!
When it doesn’t ahahahah
3:05 Looks like a literal take on the animal "Seabunny".
10:30 Looks like someone might've been inspired by Bubble Tape's packaging (it even has the same coloring and the tongue could be like the gum sticking out)
17:40. Looks like a living smurf hat
That Yin-yang Absol is something.
But yes. a good amount of these look good enough to been added.
Beatric was also going to make its debut in Hoenn which is crazy that they cut it out considering how little ice types the region has
Mars looks a _lot_ like Silver in that sprite wow.
A lot of the gen 3 beta leaks look like inspiration for a lot of Gen 5 pokemon. I instantly thought of tympole when I saw the fish next to makuhita
I recognized that tengu design as Nuzleaf as soon as you zoomed into it, lol. That's prob my fave out of these.
I heard Simisear was on the top 10 most unpopular Pokémon in Japan. That beta design on release would've made him top 50 most popular in a nanosecond
This has got to be like winning the lottery for hoops 😂
Ive been making a rom hack with beta pokemon. This is terrific news for me.
I always think about an alternate universe where the Pokémon we have are beta designs and these are the ones we have. Also some of these all look like JRPG random spawns. I know Pokémon takes inspiration from Dragon Quest and you can really see it here.
12:47 those sprites look more like fancy active/ adventure-like outfits for physical activities and training.
All of these beta and cut Pokemon are amazing
Though I remember that there were like over 450 Pokémon that were designed for black and white and 294 were cut and we ended up with the 156 we know of
Hopefully the Pokemon Tera leak continues showing more cut Pokemon, especially the hundreds of cut Pokemon from gen 5
14:56 I KNEW IT WAS SEEDIT LINE!!! Feet gave it away
Amazing video! One request, can we get a side by side comparison as you move through this series?
Would you make a video about the dark pokemon lores leaked? 💀🤧
The rabbit-looking one under the Sharpedo looks like it's hopped its way all the way from Hoenn to Paldea in the form of the Pawmott line
One of these days you gotta have a beta pokemon tier list video where you give all your opinions of each leaked beta design!! xD
Looking at some of these scrapped designs makes you wonder if there really was a sound type in development
11:10 bidet Rotom
16:53 lmao I didn't even realize that blue and white thing was supposed to be Castform
There are A LOT of sound based pokemon in the gen 3 sprites, not confirmed but after seeing them It seems pretty likely that they originally had planned to add the sound type
im absolutely in love with the turtle in the bottom left corner, and i have not been able to stop thinking about him since i saw him.. i feel robbed. he is the cutest little guy ever.
It’s cool seeing cut Pokémon But I remember a video when he discussed cut Pokémon with Pokédex descriptions I wonder are those the Pokémon we are seeing‼️‼️
That brown/red dinosaur pokemon that was mentioned looks a lot like Druddigon but just as a different species
Really cool to see that Giratina got it's design right from the start (it's my favorite Legendary ever), also Absol's original design looks interesting, but final design is indeed better (another huge favorite of mine). Overall these beta designs look cool, but the final ones are better. I'm very happy that we did NOT get the beta Cubchoo though, Cubchoo is already one of the lesser designs and that beta design doesn't do any good for it either.
