    I'm a HUGE fan of PHEVs as I find they're perfect for almost everyone. You don't have to worry about plugging them if its not convenient yet when you can, you can drive them just like a regular EV. The new 2022 Lexus NX450h+ PHEV is perfect in almost all areas and offers almost no compromises.

    No regrets with my NX450h+. I picked it up in late March and it did turn on the engine when it gets too cold. Even with EV mode. I've been able to get 84.1km on a charge.

    I have a base NX450h+ since end of May this year. (my 3rd Lexus) Just love this little nifty thing. There is a lot to like in this car. It is comfy, powerful, fairly roomy, high from the ground, AWD, has a great infotainment system and is very frugal. 3.4l/100km so far on 7000kms +, and this includes few road trips with no battery charges. I charge at home, but do not care charging if I am on a 4 days business trip. Went 81 km on a single charge with no AC, and usually gets 65km out of the battery.

  • @cookieco4511
    @cookieco4511 ปีที่แล้ว

    Owned a f-sport for 2 months, simply the best system out there. We got 42miles without AC on, and it is going up slowly. RFT is surprisingly quite. With a much smaller battery than a BEV, means it is much lighter, less stress on suspension. Regarding the nav turn-by-turn on HUP, it only works with Apple using apple map, and Android using google map/ Waze. It won’t work when you use google map on IPhone. Keep up the good work!

    Great review. This car looks to be for that niche of people that want a reliable CUV (and don't need more than the CUV storage space within), very comfortable drive, everyday driver, with daily commutes below 37 miles for mainly EV, and no range anxiety on those vacation road trips.

      Sad YES!...However for US, the ones who bought it right away and did our proper research saw how this will go up in price...Show me another car that will do that...Maybe the C8 corvette if you bought @ 60K...however the market is Now saturated and they are drooping in price VERY VERY Quick!......the appreciation is through the roof (ECON 101 supply...& demand)...Lexus of Beverly hills are getting $87,000.00 for this car and guess what it is worth it............ IF YOU CAN FIND ONE as these are simply going up in value.........I never use Gas and oil........HOWEVER I have The option.

    I have a Sorento PHEV driving in the New York City area, I enjoy it so much as it has the best of both worlds with pure EV power on short trips and good mpg on long road trips without fear of finding public chargers. The car does not have a heat pump, so I made it like a game during my first winter in this car to turn off all heat with my jacket on so it did not trigger the gas engine. I know even if I have to turn the heat on (when my family is in the car) which triggers the gas engine, the mpg should still be excellent. Absolutely no regret buying this PHEV from Kia. The Lexus NX450h+ is a great PHEV of course but I don't think anyone can say it is a great value.

    Some negative I found in this car for this price range

    I have a 2016 Lexus NX200t, which has been excellent. I have recently looked at purchasing a new car, but it is crazy right now, with long waiting period and being at the dealerships mercy has put me off. Besides, my current NX200t is excellent. My next car will probably will be another Lexus and an Hybrid (over straight gas). I wouldn't consider the NX450h+ PHEV because of the steep price increase from Hybrid to PHEV. To me it simply isn't worth it, I don't believe in wasting money! That's why I buy a Lexus over BMW. Thanks for great, informative videos, I really enjoy them!

    So starting next year you can get $7500 back on this or are these not made in US/CA/MX as well as the battery not made of qualifying materials? What kind of HP do you have when the battery is empty, is there any power left? Oh, this has a CVT..... great review! However, have a PHEV you have an engine still that you have to maintain, so I am still debating on waiting longer for a full BEV. I am probably fine with a 200 mile range, but really want 350 or more just so I do not have to think about it. Oh, like that proximity sensor closing the hatch!

    • @toronado455
      @toronado455 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you're fine with 200 mile range you should buy an EV with 200 mile range. Getting an EV with 350 mile range (just so you don't have to think about it) means sacrificing efficiency due to the weight of the extra batteries that you're carrying around all the time and rarely or not at all using.
