      that’s so true though. have you ever just let yourself go crazy dancing? it’s so fucking freeing. it releases all emotions stuck inside. most of my transformational spiritual experiences have been accompanied by a sweet dance of release and freedom. first time i realized how important dancing was was coming down from my first shroom trip ❤️

      Crazy. I was born 11/27/1988 which was 213 days after this interview. Number 213 symbolizes balance, communication, peace, and manifesting your desires and dreams into reality. But to truly understand the power of 213, it's important to know what the numbers it contains mean: 1, 2, 3, and 6."
      This is relevant to me because after trying DMT recently I've been obsessed with manifesting and making changes to my personal reality.

    Man... I've finally come back to Terence after many years of listening to folks like Jordan Peterson and Mark Passio among others and can follow just about everything they say. Terence's vocabulary is so rich that I am STILL finding myself... see I can't even form the word... having to look up words. Though, my spiritual maturity is at a level of sophistication now that I can follow what he is saying much more clearly than before.

      37:30 "understanding is the apperception of pattern as such." - - - I've learned the basic gist of "as such" from Jordan Peterson, but "apperception"? Here is the definition:
      the mental process by which a person makes sense of an idea by assimilating it to the body of ideas he or she already possesses.

      I see intuition as "going with your gut." The problem with doing so is all of your training and brainwashing. You see a low-income male, and because you've seen so many images on TV showing similar males doing bad things, then you auto think he's going to do something bad to you. Go with your gut and get out of there! At best, he's not worth networking with, he's not worth listening to; if you do listen to him, he's just trying to trick you.

    Intuition is close to the biblical concept of faith. 'Believe to see', and not vise versa. I regret not having trusted my intuition more in life. It's like feeling that something makes sense before even being able to put into words why.

    • @FoursWithin
      @FoursWithin 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Bible is very clear about
      the faithful not relying on themselves or their own understanding but putting
      Faith in the word of the Bible and it's Gods.
      Historically Intuition has been seen by the church as suspect and possibly satanic.

    On the question 'why does math explain nature so well, we don't know'. I think I do know. It's the same reason why religion worked so well for us to explain the world (until it didn't). In a reality where everything is relative, there is no clear starting point where you can start to make sense of the universe. There is no law of nature that tells us how long a meter or a centimeter is. But the moment we go, screw it, let's just decide this random amount of space is a meter. It's subjective. It's just a concept, but suddenly, you now have a useful tool to measure length with. So, a universe where everything is relative and constantly changing, it's hard to make a real sense of anything at all. But with this unchanging math framework, you bring in something that's consistent, allowing us to measure and categorize. It allows for at least some way to consistently interpret the world, where before we had no way of interpreting the world. In this way, math is a more useful and less vague tool than religion, but it's funny how both share a lot of their purpose. Now, if math only consisted of 1+1=2, the usefulness of math would be severely limited. It's because of the vastness of the math framework that it can be applied to lots of different problems.

      McKenna is frequently wrong about a lot of things, to be quite honest. I don’t think maliciously so, the way you see with a ton of pseudo-intellectual grifters, and often he’s incorrect in intelligent and informed ways. But people should watch out, and take his explanations of anthropology, history, and philosophy with a grain of salt.
