  • A few months before the release of his book "True Hallucinations", Terence McKenna was asked to recount the experiment at La Chorrera, and since he "ran out of material" for the workshop he gives a detailed account of the events of 1971.

    Terrence mckenna is the person that taught me to believe in my own ideas, 10 years ago, at the age of 15. I relish in the fact that I can still find new revelations through his words all these years later.

    Terence was not a cosmonaut as we understand that term today. He was, more than anything, an alchemist in the pure sense. I've begun to see all his work not just as an exploration of tryptamines but as a lifelong search for the Philosopher's Stone.

    • @DustyNothing
      @DustyNothing 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Very much so, one of his longest and most important video lectures was called ‘Seeking the Stone’.

      what the hell do you mean as we understand the term today. there is one definition. sounds like you mean psychonaut. an alchemist in the "pure sense". there is one sense - they deal with purity of substance so the idea there is an impure sense is ironic as well as absurd. you must seem to like the way you sound.

    Hoooly shit, that idea of the psychedelic "hum" being the "electron spin resonance signal" of harmine is SO FASCINATING. I love that whole string of thoughts leading up to that. And the fact that sound waves can apparently cause the intercalation of DNA! You can 100% tell that sound healing is doing stuff to you when you experience it (that's my experience anyway), but I fucking love getting scientific evidence of it like that. This is a bit of a tough lecture to follow for me lol, but super worth it.

    • @NickBatinaComposer
      @NickBatinaComposer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Honestly man, this has been a huge point of interest for me, and I dunno if that’s QUITE it. I don’t think it is the intercalation of harmine into the dna slots, the reason being because this sound is always present in your conscious perception if you look deeply enough!
      That being said, in terms of function, the molecules certainly amplify the sound. Secondly, the way this sound interacts with healing-type musics could be how a positive benefit is translated from the abstract musical language (there’s a certain something to intervallic relationships and the ways neurons interact in a higher dimensional perspective, but I haven’t done any research on this kind of thing yet, that’s gonna take sweat lol).
      Anywho, I wanted to chime in cuz, while McKenna’s ideas could take some tailoring into the newer ages, its becoming increasingly pertinent to listen and take notes from this guy 😂😂😂

      The psilocybin hum was a pretty obvious phenomenon to me and my brothers as we experimented many nights in the woods. Even before we ever heard of Terence, or I had read True Hallucinations. I have a feeling for what he was getting at because I had very similar ideas. The sound was like an echoing at first. We were in the hollers in Kentucky down below the hills by brooks running to a creek. The sound was like coming over the hill then it got louder and things got weirder. Then it became like a truck engine in which I could hear voices, singing, roaring, coyote howling, screeching, etc. We would look at each other like WTF DUDE haha. Then entities, so many different kinds, often the louder the sounds, the more feeling of presence. I worried I was nuts for awhile, now a decade later I feel okay having found this community haha.

    rather advanced! seems to me he reached the ever-so-most-important point in the time-space continuum (?) where the speech , the Logos we dear so much, the power of focus, and thoughts: Create. Materialize matter in this world, from an other to here. So simply to put it. "Far streched" as he points out at one of these keynotes, "far strech" is deeply understated. And despite all peculiarities, my only thought was: "Oh Shit! He reached it! Wow! "

      If you type it out I’ll take the time to read it, I think just say it and who it’s meant for will find it, it is respectful you ask before sharing. Someone watching TH-cam is someone asking questions by them clicking on a video so you could make videos and anyone who watches is essentially saying yes they’d like to listen and you could reach more people/ not have to wait for someone to say yes before expressing ideas so you can get to more ideas. And the data transfer of TH-cam video is better than text can be because there is more data that can be transferred so you can get your ideas across more clear.

    I never saw blue stuff but I did get the point where I no longer had to eat after the puking but I wanted to know if I could still eat and I tried a grape. I now know I didn't really need to eat seriously instead of it just being thought. I'm excited because I brew Ayahuasca. I wonder what will happen when I do it again.

    True meaning in direct experience is directly proportional to the Hu-man point of view. When the perception of the perceiver is empty from its own point of view it achieves the universal point of view, immaculate, unfragmented by the position of the identity in space known as the Ego.

    After reading the Kybalion for the 3rd time, and adding 4 years worth of research to it, here is my attempt at explaining existence in modern English-
    "In the beginning, all things in existence existed as one thing. The Source of all things is information. Underlying and permeating our entire physical material existence is a field/plane of Quantum Information. Even when 'nothing' existed, something still did- the 'information of nothingness'.
    Through itself, the field created itself, from nothing.
    The field itself is nothing, which is still something.
    Through this field is generated all other things, including our universe.
    All particles, all states, all molecules, all atoms, etc. all existed as One. This One manifested through itself the individualiztion of all other particles, planes, dimensions, and universes.
    Time itself exsist within the One.
    All laws and rules exist within the One. The One is the Law itself.
    Eventually via the Great Cycle, all individualized particles will contract back into One, each cycle bringing a higher advancement in consciousness than the previous cycle.
    Each individualized unit of creation, also being an individualized unit of consciousness brings back to the Source its own information."-Me
