there's a difference between selling your publishing and hiring a publishing company. the company has better resources to get your song in movies, tv, games, commercials, etc than you probably do or you might just not even wanna fuck with it and just get your 80% cut.
if you sell your publishing you get one lump sum payment up front. also if you sell your publishing you stop getting paid for radio play since that's paid on the written work of a song.
Facts. You can only get paid for performing the music, which is why some artists be performing till they late 70’s. The goal is to sit back and watch your music make money for generations forward.
Future at almost 40 just sold his publishing, but he’s still in his prime, if he makes better music form now on going forward than he did previously it will be a great investment but if not, then he will be performing till late age.

The reason the TH-camrs are getting more than artist is because the Musicians let the labels find other outlets of making money than the art. When we don't speak against cornball-ish, cornball-ish is what gets fed to te masses and the when masses says it's good, you don't need good quality music. But the TH-cam game is oversaturated, a lot of it is who pops, & who's still standing because a lot of Big TH-camrs fell off for something they did, or change in demeanor over time.

Vlad is developing a bad habit of talking over his guests, which I feel he didn't do much in the past. To the point where it sounds like he is screaming over them to make a point. He is also tying himself into a lot of these conversations. I feel like I hear him talking more about himself these days than the actual guest. That happens during a natural conversation, but in this interview format, it just feels strange. I don't dislike him or his interviews, so I'm not trying to be nasty, just a tiny observation/critique. Wish he would stop.
