There is nothing wrong with what he said, in Africa, jails are terrible, and that’s a good thing, most African countries like Sénégal, Mali, Gambia, etc have very low crime rates because of the good African culture but also people fear going to jail, because they know it won’t be paradise in there, family has to bring you lunch every day, sometimes three times a day , who wants to do that ? People raise their kids to be good moral people in Africa, your parents will beat you up if you start misbehaving, my mum would just look at me and I would know immediately, I better behave or otherwise she’d take the belt or hit me with her shoe , I used to fear my dad, he didn’t tolerate any nonsense from us , when my dad came home, we all used to go and greet him, take his shoes and briefcase in the room for him, today I thank my parents for correcting our behavior as kids.
