The same judges who say "yes" now will be the first to say "no" depending on which President exactly was in question!
For example, one wonders if Obama could've gotten away with a fraction of all what Trump has said and done.
    One just wonders!

America is meant to have three branches of power. The reasoning behind these branches was to keep each other in line.
    Legislative (Congress / Senate)
    Executive (President)
    Judicial (Supreme Court)
In my opinion, the Supreme Court just stripped some of its own authority. Which has unbalanced the authority towards to the Executive branch, weakening the other two.

    • @russelljones9207
      @russelljones9207 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

They aren't supposed to 'keep each other in line'. They are supposed to not interfere with each other, hence the separation.

    • @znxster
      @znxster 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@russelljones9207 For instance, the President can veto a law passed by Congress. Does that mean the President "interferes" with Congress?
Equally Congress can override the veto President with a 2/3 majority, "interfering" with the President's veto power.
Or if the President nominates a Justice but then the Senate doesn't approve it. Does that not mean the Senate interferes with the President?
There are a bunch of other examples.
The intent of the three branches is to separate power, ensuring that no single branch possess overwhelming power and creating a system which checks itself.
I feel the balance has been removed.

It's different. First of all, law applies to diplomatic staff, whether a country choose to execute that law is up to its own standard. Japan had jailed US Service Member and diplomatic staff before, it's depends on the exchange agreement
President Immunity is "Blanket" which cover EVERYTHING. As long as it's in official capacity, it's going to be covered.

Alister Cooke, in one of his letters from America, made the case that the US constitution gave the President the powers and status of the only King the 18th century colonists knew well, King George, except that the Prez was subject to being deposed by elections or impeachment by Congress. It was an accident of history, Cooke claimed, that the US constitution was written at a time where the British King and British parliament had roughly equal powers. The written US constitution preserved those powers over time in the US. In the UK parliament went on to increase its power and reduce the Monarch's power. So I think Cooke would not be surprised at all that SCOTUS (which wants to remain in the 18th century) ruled that the Prez has similar immunity as the Monarch of the UK still has.

As a Pastor, you people are making mistakes, because you put your hand above the Holy Scriptures, but you don’t read it. No man is above the law not even angels ( Ezekiel 28:14-19 ). The person you are seeing here is the well known ( satan ) God did not made it evil, he was a high ranked angel a (Cherub) and he transgressed the law he knew cause of his pride . Here you a perfect example “ no one is above the law. Now one thing is breaking the law, and another committing a transgression against the law; a law breaker doesn’t know the law but a person that understand and know the law and break it,it becomes a transgressor of the law ( 1st Timothy 2:14 ) like Donald Trump. So on to when the Supreme Court is going to keep on giving immunity to a man, so he may take a position as a President which he is no longer worthy of exercise it. If the Supreme Court of the United state of America can’t no longer judge that we need New leadership in the Supreme Court of the United state of America. Donald Trump is not a King he’s a Transgresor of The Law.

I wonder if I am right:
The Congress watches the Supreme Court and Visa Versa.
The Supreme Court is Advisory Only. They have no
prosecutorial power as an extension under the Internal
Justice System. They may not write laws or pass
mandates to lower courts. Lower courts function through
the Attorney Generals Office (which is above the Congress)
through the Bureau Of Land Management and the
Department Of Defense. These are the branches of the
Justice System. Ratification of law is only done by the
Internal Justice System and Vetoing mandates is the
prerogative of the President. The President and Vice
President may request laws to be written, but may not write
them themselves. Maybe this is just wishful thinking. I hope not.

This is from the conclusion of the actual ruling:
"First, with respect to any criminal conduct relating to a President’s “core constitutional powers”-those subjects
“within his ‘conclusive and preclusive’ constitutional authority”-the President is entitled to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution. See ante, at 6, 8.
Second, expanding outward from this “core,” regarding all other “acts
within the outer perimeter of [the President’s] official responsibility,” the President is entitled to “at least a presumptive immunity from criminal prosecution.” Ante, at 14
    "
And the ruling also states presidential communications or motives cannot be used against him/her in 'core' duties' Giving pardons is a core duty, so Trump could, (and probably will) take brides for pardons, if re-elected in November.
