- The power window regulator on my daily driver Expedition has finally quit after being sluggish for many years. The scissor mechanism is worn out and bound up. I purchased a new regulator with motor and installed it. The installation was straight forward once you figure out how to get the window released from the regulator track. This will work on 1997-2002 Ford Expedition, 1997-2004 F-150, and 1998-2002 Lincoln Navigator.

What size rivets did you use
@@fernandovarela4935 I don't know for sure. They were included in the box with the regulator so I didn't have to do any thinking.
Excellent explanation! Better than some of “pro” mechanics. I never understood from other vids how the window was attached to the regulator. You made it clear!! Can bolts and nuts be used instead of rivers? Thx!!
Thats high praise that I truly appreciate. Bolts and nuts could absolutely be used as long as you can get your hands/tools in position to get them tight and as long as the moving mechanism doesn't crash into them. If you find bolts and nuts work well, post back and I will pin the comment for future people!

What size bolts would i need also the rivet size if i decide to go that route.
I don't remember for sure as it's been a while since I did this but I think it came with all the rivets you need. Sorry I can't be more help.

Trying to save not showing you the easy and obvious stuff. If you can't get the door apart then maybe its best to call a mechanic. This might be over your head.
