from someone who never knew their grandparents, something more important than "in house baby-sitters or rideshares" is the experience of the multi-generational households that aren't common like they used to be. They will all cherish the time they were able to spend with each other, and the ability to actually "know" each other. That is the most valuable thing....
In addition to waiting for snow and the ski season to start here in Michigan, my wife and I were both looking forward to the start of Adia's season. The boys are really great too.
Ha, you can actually hear Adia's addiction to powder skiing getting worse🤗 great video! These are helping as we wait for snow here in VT. Can the Griz send us some powder😬
Man your kids are tireless. They are doing pretty good for just starting the season out. I know you have commented on not having much snow yet, but compared to Ontario, you’ve got loads. Blue Mountain opened on the 10th, but has already had to shut down for a bit because of lack of good snow coverage. Hopefully we get a good dumping of snow soon!
We are fortunate that we are skiing! We are off to a rough start at lower elevation but this week is catching up for us. Sorry to hear bout Blue. Mild winters can be a bummer!
That’s great!!! Thank you! I know nothing about skiing and I had no idea that a 3 year old doesn’t do more then an hour 😅 of ski. What kind of clothes does Adia has under? Is it an hour cause the clothes get wet or because no matter the clothes, the child will get cold at some point? How cold was yesterday? Do you do some other activities in the afternoon, or an hour of ski = a day of nap? What should we do to optimise our week in the mountains? The ressort is offering so much stuff to do in the afternoons I don’t know when will my daughter be napping? I’m still packing the luggage so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks again for sharing with us your experience 🙏
@@ThatMountainLife I admit we are going a bit unprepared this time, but if it goes well anyway, we’ll go back in February. (Btw snow and mountains are my least favourite things in the world but you and your family helped my husband to convince me that it’s a great experience for our daughter, so … thank you) 😊
I want to ask you is skiing more easier than snowboarding ? I'm asking because I am thinking of starting one of these sports as a novice. Thanks btw for the awesome and heartwarming content!🥰
My 5 year old has just seen this and she now want to do it like daddy......except in the UK indoor Real snow skiing costs a fortune. Its hard enough paying for myself every few weeks 🤦🏼♂️
Watching august, luca and adia ski is one more reason to love winters …….
It takes a village to raise a family. Your parents did a great job on you. Kudos to them and Courtney.
I really hope once his kids are older he teaches ski school he is a natural teacher who is very encouraging
Adia learns so fast and you are such a good teacher Dad. Love watching her. That cute little voice too. 😍

That's a lot of questions. Maybe I'll try and make a video to answer some of them! 😄

Skiing is easier to learn and progress to Novice level in my opinion.
how old is the kid in the orange helmet he is so good at sking he is realy good at pole planting
He is 8
making skiing look WAY TO EASY!!!!
Q: why do Luca have "sticks" with him but Adia not?
I was just wondering where you and your family are from? Do you have German roots? :)
I do! My mom was born in Berlin and moved to Canada as a young girl.
Im really curious what skill level hill is she running?
What’s the elevation at Fernie?
If you’ve seen guardians of the galaxy, instead of roots it should be “Groot”
I’d be like I’m goin around ya groot :D
She or he has a cute voice
Cute! how old is she? :)
She is 3.5
