- We are a family that loves skiing and we decided to share a gift of the mountains with our kids!
This video is about Adia's skiing progression from the age of 1 year old, when she was just a toddler to 5 years old!
As a dad, it is my job to be there for kids and guide them through the challenges, and I just love how skiing is something that we can do together as a family!

In this video, I share three core principles for making the process easier and more fun for everyone involved.
So true. I started my son on skis at 1 year old. We have been on the snow for 32 years!!!!! When he was 10 we started snowboarding. Haven't looked back. You are 100% right!!! I am 71 now and we still enjoy this sport together.
Nice
The most loved scene by me is "cause we are the rescue riders".
Absolutely adorable 😂
That was my first video too!
That is my favorite video.
yes!!! I just commented the same!
How could we forget these beautiful footages of Adia, she was so cute and funny...on any given day, watching her would just transform a hectic day into a pleasant one...Adia has a bigger family now that she is on the world stage and we rooting for her to become the best she can ever be because she has captivated us with her precious little smiles , her priceless behaviour and actions , especially the way she greets the animals on the course....keep the videos coming Jeff , we just love them and appreciate your documentation and presentation....🎿🎿🇿🇦👏👏
I remember all her giggles and above all FAST LIKE A BAAALL 🥰😂💋❤💯 she is too cute and strong!
Eric you basically did documentation for Adia's overall development milestones and more, you did an excellent work!
I started watching this channel because of 2 YO Adia, but stayed for your parenting style, filming skills and your whole family's positive vibe. I miss her saying hello to the pictures of the animals on the trails.
Thanks Claire! Glad you’ve stuck around. More content to come.
What an adorable "Teletubbie" on skis! And Adia's micro sound is priceless.
You rock Adia!!❤
You Can not escape falling for that beautifull little girl. Well done family 🌺
A new legend has been created…
I just love the entire family ! Adia is a firecracker ! Love hearing her little talks as she skis.
That was a great overview, Erich! I still go back and watch some of the earlier videos of Adia…just because she makes me smile so much!!! So looking forward to this season’s content, with the whole family of course. ☺️
Amazing on so many levels! Congrats and continue to have fun!
I just love this family. Thanx for sharing eric.
Truly, this little pink person lights up the world💖 You can be SO proud of all three of them, Eric. 🎉🎊😎
Hi guys, I'll never forget the footage and her comments. I am sure in the comming season she will learn more and getting more and more confident in herself. Of course she looks after her big brothers August and Luca to learn from them as well. Wish you all a lot of fun in this season. Take care, stay healthy and enjoy life. CU
Thanks for supportive comment.
Hi, your all going to have an awesome season on the mountain this year. Adia will be on the rails etc at bottom of one of the runs. Can't wait to see footage of her, Luca and August.🇬🇧❤️
She is just adorable. I loved watching her grow and become quite the skier. Keep making content and I’ll keep watching. Cheers

Great video!!! Loved it!!
You’re such an amazing dad and mentor for skiing to them 😊 my daughter just turned 18; and we will be going to the slopes this July in NZ down under.
I think what I liked the most was her: "Hi Arlo. Bye Arlo". Poor Arlo. Cold, but super cute.
Thanks to you, i teached my 2-years old son how to ski. And he did well last weekend. So cool! Greetings from Germany ❤
That is awesome! Thanks for leaving a comment. I love hearing that.
Weve been following along for over 3 years! Love all your stuff
Thanks Shawn!
She is adorable. And going to be good. I cant wait to have kids so I too can go skiing with them which is a dream of mine.
Hi Eric, I’ve commented on nearly every video since the beginning! For me it’s about how family should work and 95% of the world has lost touch and you are doing a grand job enlightening change. Those of us fortunate enough to have been brought up like your family sit back now and enjoy your family as our own. thank you for the warmth and love you are sharing.
Much appreciated Greg. 🙏
you guys are the best parents!!! keep making her a badass on the slopes and im sure shes gonna be better than 99% of the boys her age or older
That resort looks awesome I would love to check it out
Outstanding edit, as always, and it's great to see the journey. You and your wife are doing a fantastic job.
Another benefit to the kids is that their brains are learning and mastering the skill of "delayed gratification." Unbelievably important to have a brain that functions like that, as part of it's core programming. You are paving the way for the success of not only this generation, but the ones that will follow.
Rescue riders to the rescue!!!
One of my favorites.
First, Awesome Video, Greetings from Germany!!!
so cute!
Awesome baby❤
I have loved watching Adia grow up on skis. She started out with a ton of confidence and self-awareness, and she's going to carry that with her for her whole life. Girls absolutely rule! A gentle comment, if I may: I think you could lay off the verbal emphasis on "wholesome" a little bit. We don't need to be reminded so often. It's obvious from just watching you all that spending the winter skiing in the gorgeous mountains is good, happy family experience. It's also out of reach for most people. Any activity that a family enjoys together, from outdoor adventures, to dancing in the living room to disco music, can impart the same benefits. I hope you're aware of how fortunate you are. (Said with love from someone who's old enough to be your mother.)
Thankyou sooo much for posting this, it has me in tears. In a time of war famine and hatred the darkness is overwhelming but Boyoboy you pair sure turned on the lights and that is priceless; i cannot thankyou enough…..btw, pardon me for being blunt but have you got a brother called James? 😉🤫
I bounce to the music on my board too! Adia is a bad ass! I will think of you when I am in Zermatt in April.
I am 10 and I also ski and Adia is a better skier 😂
I have also skied once and I’m somehow better then her XD
Such a beautiful mountain! Wish I could live in an area where I could ski every winter. (It's harder to move to a more expensive cost of living area when you live in a lower cost of living area.)
I was skiing before I could before and I’m 6 and l can ski like a pro
Wow ❤
Dreamlife in the Rocky Mountain. ❤🇺🇸
You guys are all so incredibly wholesome. Glad I found your channel. Today, I went shopping and there was a "very young human being", crying and screaming her lungs out. Somehow I have a feeling that thanks to your awesome parenting this did not really happen with your kids. I can't see how a kid who's learned to navigate a dense forest on skis before turning three years would throw a tantrum because of not getting the chocolate it wants... You guys are amazing.
Hey Thomas,
To be fair, I maintain the belief that tantrums are quite natural and normal. And in many ways, our children’s unregulated emotions often trigger something inside of us to “not like it” or to become uncomfortable….its our job as adults to be a regulated, loving presence during our kids emotional outbursts. I think our culture gets a lot wrong when it comes to emotions and vulnerability.
All of this is to say, our kids are human and do have moments where they become emotionally unregulated. (These are moments where logic and reason goes out the window) and it’s in the child’s best interest for us to simply be a safe presence.
I do believe that when a child’s needs for rest, connection, and (the appropriate) level of stimulation - we can reduce the amount of times our kids end up losing it.
Most kids are tired and overstimulated in our culture.
And my parenting philosophy could like best be described as old meets new. I believe in “gentle parenting” practices that allow kids to fully feel their emotions AND I believe in having boundaries and leading kids with a loving spine.
I hope that makes sense. A lot of parents also don’t have a broad enough toolbox to navigate their kids big emotions. It’s not their fault.
Oh, and saying this and executing this are too very different things. 😅
@@ThatMountainLife I didn't want to give the impression that I hated either the kid or the dad! I've got two nephews aged 6 and 4 and I know that there is no reasoning with them sometimes, especially when tired.
What I DID mean to say though, is that their are parents who are great at putting the kids in a more stable mood. Since my brother and his wife split up, I can notice a distinct difference in how the two little guys deal with unexpected situations depending on whom they spent their previous days with.
❤
Adia was so little and super cute..........
Вау, как же это круто!!
What an inspiration to this father of 2 daughters….sadly i will have to rely on ski school first I think…
No shame in that! Have someone else get them going and then you’ll be able to enjoy some laps together.
Любимая девочка-красавица!!!
She is so cute!!!
May I ask, what equipment do you use for conversation while skiing?
No conversation. Just Bluetooth wireless mic’s for better audio in the videos
Love the video, will definitely buy the book. I just want to know, what resort do you guys ski at?
We’re skiing Fernie Alpine Resort on the regular. We’re lucky!
I wish there was a way to teach adults to ski with less fear! I have been learning but I have a fear of steep terrain and going fast.
the shot @ 0:24 with the whole crew is sooo cool xD
Haha yah that was fun!
Never ski before, wish I can try and learn sometimes, but i am not youger enough 😢
Erich je suis contente que vous ayez répondu. Je suis une mamie de 78 ans
J'adore vos enfants mais on se damnerai pour un de ses sourires. Ania sera une star olympique. Si vous parlez français traduisez un peu. Gros bisous à Ania go my beauty 😅😅❤❤🎉
Thanks Olivia. I’m glad you enjoy the videos.
What if they want to snowboard ?
They will have that chance
Imagine skiing diamond paths at age of two
Just as cute - and still with no fear
At this rate she will be carving blacks by the time shes 10!
"cos I'm a CRAZY girl"
I had a really bad accident involving a child like that - a great skier but with a childish attitude to responsibility. She crashed into me due to a creative maneuver on her side and i ended up with a ruptured disc.
We do not give children access to cars going ar rhat speed or motorbikes and they have no business on a mountain like that.
I’m sorry about your injury.
As a ski patroller, I have responded to more collisions involving adults than I have kids.
Skiing is a GREAT sport kids. The world would be a better place if
adults had to watch out for MORE kids on the slopes.
Of course kids need to taught proper educate and ski safely. Accidents do happen, especially at busier resorts - but I can assure you it’s not a “kid” issue.
Is it just me or is the resolution of the video really screwed?
Oh I’m interested to know more. No one else commented on it yet?
get your kids in the park
Rossignol is better tjan head
Okay
Just gotta love that kid !!!!! ⛷💕 ⛷
Been watching u guys for like 3 years, I also started my winter sport journey cuz of u guys 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🏂 ⛷️
That’s awesome! Great to hear.
