Tigrex is actually known for his damaging roar, his subspecies, Brute Tigrex actually uses his roars as his main form of attack.

Base Rise has no endgame though. Endgame doesn't generally happen until g/Master rank. Charm farming is more of an optional activity you can do while helping out newer players in lobbies

YT recommended me your 1st MHW video where you were kinda negative towards it but the 2nd video where you gave it another try and were open about it made me sub and followed you since then. Don't really care that much about Gauntless tbh, but its nice seeing a different kind of perspective in MH games. Quit Rise after release cause it had no real content and felt too easy for me just like you said, having a blast now preparing for sunbreak though, looking forward to you giving MHW+IB another try

There were only three monsters throughout this video that you said were more difficult, that's one of Rise' issues. I'm glad you said you'd be giving World and Icebore a chance because compared to Rise, they are much more difficult and have a better endgame(Specifically Iceborne).

Also better movement kinda nulls most of the difficulty of MH as a whole. Which im perfectly ok with.

@@blazefang49-isgamer21 the people world attracts and the way it ruined the entire fanbase of the series, no one can shut up about world, fair enough if you say the older games were somehow harder than better but thinking world was somehow peak monster hunter and that nothing after it or before it is good is just insanity, world also attracted a lot of speedrunners and people who think meta is everything so now you get kicked out of every lobby if you don't somehow do what some speedrunners do, but i guess its just an another day and an another game series ruined by its own fans.

the superman dive isn't overpowered lmao, it comes at the cost of stamina and how long it takes to sheathe your weapon, if you don't have enough stamina to dive you're pretty much fucked. Likewise if you're playing a big weapon like greatsword where sheathing takes a long time you usually get whacked. You can only superman dive in one direction - AWAY from the moster - unless you slot in a special skill. This alone has carted me countless times because I wasn't precise enough with my inputs.

GS is a whole lot funnier once you master tackle and tackle through attacks while getting to true charge slash in a fraction of the time. It's not for beginners at all though, you generally want to be familiar enough with the monsters to anticipate where they will be before they get there.

Nice video! It's super interesting to see the perspective from someone with a different main game. MH and Dauntless are both pretty good games with different goals and styles, so I agree with your assessment at the end.
For me personally, the more complicated and deliberate combat mechanics won me over compared to Duantless's faces paced action arcade style. It also helps that I'm a huge fan of MH's mechanical weapons like the Switch Axe and Gunlance.

This is probably just me but I find dauntless harder then monster hunter

    • @suemeade2471
      @suemeade2471 ปีที่แล้ว

Dauntless has stupid difficult things like heroic esca and trials. But monster hunter has harder monsters in general .
Overall Normal dauntless is easy ( hunting grounds and 10-50 escalation), it also has challenges that were made due to the level of power creep that doing those modes with anything but the best gear and godlike skill is a lesson in torture.but the fact that even with a bearable gun lance build I can barely beat anything but very weak master rank monsters while dieing 6+ times when faced with a temper glavnus in mhw when I can solo every 10-50 in dauntless with a hunger build shows that monster hunter has a more drastic change of difficulty then most of dauntless.

I will not tolerate this greatsword slander.
All jokes aside, greatsword is kinda hard to use. You basically have to know the monster so you can predict their movement and charge your attack ahead of time, or you can play the get hit and return hit style with the tackle and rage slash.

14:05 - quick mh history. you usually used to only get tails from getting the tail, but there were a chance you wouldn't get the tail. only in gen5 monster hunter they added the option to break the tail as well as cut it (used to only be possible for some monsters) and also get tail parts randomly at the end of quests so players that used mainly horns and hammers could get those pieces.

If you are interested in monster ecology (like Tigrex's roar being one of a few capable of injuring and thus KILLING a hunter) you could check out the ecology and lore videos by ragegamingvideos.
But in short, yes, he roars so loud it could count as a pressure wave, considering the sheer power behind those roars also shreds his muscles and organs....he just doesn't care beyond murdering anything in his path

Im probably at about 200 hours in MHR+Sunbreak. The only people that have a problem with people learning and being bad when they first join are the type of people that have never felt the touch of a woman. Nobody *reasonable* expects you to spend hours learning your weapon before you go into a hunt with it and nobody expects you to know a monster you've never hunted (most people take a few hunts before they know a monster fully). Play what you find is fun, and MH as a series is always more fun with other people, whether it's try harding together for fast times, or even just seeing what shenanigans happens

  • @level0maid

Do you have a source for the count on the dodge for monster hunter and dauntless? The source I've always used for the monster hunter dodging says that you get 4 frames of invincibility before using evade window, though I can't entirely confirm what framerate they are testing at.
EDIT: Used math, the figure of 4 frames of invincibility is at 30 fps. The difference is negligible, and you did understand the implications of the difference in dodging, so I do NOT discredit your point at all.

I've been wanting to try dauntless for some time now. Just when I downloaded the game on my switch, Capcom went and announced Sunbreak so my plans for dauntless got derailed. I've been clearing all the event quest on base rise & also farming zenny in anticipation for sunbreak. One thing I would like to say for the end game of base rise, any end game I think will come in the expansion sunbreak and with it also a wider variety of monsters types, different subspecies/variants etc, harder & more challenging hunts & More Monster!!!!🤣🤣🤣. Hope you cover monster hunter world/iceborne & also sunbreak as well. Great video & keep up the good work!!!

Monster trips and knockbacks are common. Theyre just attached to the very dodgeable attacks. In my experience an attacks power dictates how much it throws you back. A tiny bit of damage is a trip and a massive amount is a launch. Also if youre gonna play longsword, please be aware it is notorious for being THE strongest weapon with the WORST players in any MH game. You have a lot of wide range moves that trip teammates which can lead to faints. My tip is its called a LONGsword. You dont have to kiss the monster to do damage, find your range and because even that little bit of extra distance away from the monster will seperate you from pretty much 90% of longswords.
Its really interesting to see your opinion on the game with almost ZERO outside knowledge. Id love to see how you view the game after doing some research and learning how to min max weapon gameplay and all the smaller details in the game. Like upgrading charge in greatsword with tackle and ranged weapons taking more damage from physical attacks. I apologize for the essay im just very passionate about Monster Hunter.
