I'd rather have 10 year battery than solar powered. Solar watches still use battery, they have expire date, need to change eventually.
Im still wearing my rangeman from feb 2015, soon to be ten years. Haven’t changed battery and probably won’t have to either for the next 5 years. It’s still great so. It’s actually better to have then not.
My tough solar WS200 battery/capacitor fails after 12 years. My friend's Protrek (forgot the series) solar batt also failed at about 10 years. And the battery (CTL1616) cost 10 times more than regular CR batteries :D
I have a 21 year old solar gshock that's still going strong without a battery change.

Really loving these. Today my G-SHOCK collection hit the 38 watches mark. Sadly i think i'll be done for a while...
And all their "environmentally friendly" cardboard boxes and drawstring sacks are gone. Don't know whether to laugh or be disappointed.
Its a good things thats gone. Who wants some cheap ass cardboard packaging.
The only thing I don't like about the GA-010 is there's no auto-light function. It's a great watch otherwise.
Patiently waiting for US sales.. would you consider this model to be the same size and fit of a GD100?

I recently bought a GBX100, but a digital 010 will definitely be added to the collection. A more rugged AE1500. 😁
Make sure it is positive lcd.
Ae 1500 have larger digits IMO. Also has 10 year battery.
@@MrDragec2 Of course, it's not exactly the same. Let's say it's a close relative. 😀 I also have two 1500s, but I really like this one as well.
Just got digital positive display. You can track and quickly switch between 5 timezones like DW291H. Thanks for video.

Dang. How much longer can this go on? I bet gshock goes under by 2030
that is like 6 years away. Too many core customers for that to happen and that quick.
