😮😮😮Why is the deadbolt always on the outside? Seems like it should be on the inside. It makes the whole thing seem like something a bad person would lock people in. 😮😮😮😮
Bolt sizes are based on the diameter of the bolt not the size of the wrench that fits the head. A 9/16” diameter bolt requires a 13/16” wrench. A 9/16” wrench fits a 3/8” diameter bolt. What size bolt is used for this shelter?
They aren’t the same as hurricane shelters, you would have to make it flood proof for that as well, I think. There was a manufacturer that had commented about hurricane use on Amazon
@@Floweroftheprairie2720 You can't really make anything flood proof because there would be no fresh air incoming. I have a SafeShed shelter which is 8x10 monolith concrete and we sleep in there during hurricanes (we're not in a flood area) in case trees fall on our house.
That looks like a really nice shelter. Thanks for the information!

you would should take ear protection in with you. Debris striking the shelter would be so loud.
Nice addition !!!!

I'd keep a bag of ear plugs or several ear muffs in there. The noise of a tornado banging debris against it would be disconcerting.
I like it. 💯👍👍😎🇺🇸

What room is that in? It looks like it should be in a closet or somewhere that it isn't such an eyesore.
To me…it looks to be in the front part of the house…like the entry, maybe 🤔
Looks like an in home gym to me.
Would be good idea to have face masks, eye and ear protection and even a helmet.
Very nice! Judging by your profile name --- I would assume you're a nurse in a urology medical office?

Partly true, though it could be a 9/16” diameter bolt with a shoulder and still use a 9/16” wrench. Flange Bolts.
It's bolted to the floor? Is that a stained concrete floor?
Did they install it for 6k?
What's a ballpark price for one of those? I assume you can bolt it to the cement in your garage?
$7k to $12k depending on size.
I cant imagine my self on one of these for hours during a hurricane. How much by the way?
he said 6k plus $200 for seats

Put a dead bolt and doubles as a prison cell. Lay off the 🧃 . 😂🤪
