Oh my word…. I actually don’t care what you talk about, I just enjoy hanging out with you ❤
Thank you, Vicki, I adore you, sweet friend ♥️♥️♥️
As a nurse, I’m again going to endorse power chairs. They safely allow people to maintain as much independence and mobility as possible. Absolutely a fantastic purchase! ❤
Thank you so much for a professional opinion! It has really helped Ross’ dad and our aunt with getting up more often!!
@@BigonStyle I’m sure! And it’s great for their self-image and mental health as well. When we can no longer do the simple things we’ve done all of our lives, it’s frustrating and depressing. These are helpful on so many levels!
As a retired nurse with an incomplete spinal cord injury, I second your opinion on these chairs! Mine finally died, and I am severely at a loss of much of my independence without it. I can only hope I can eventually get another one.
This doctor, and someone living with Lupus, completely agrees!!! They really should be looked at as a true medical device and not a "luxury"
Ross with the foreshadowing was great 😆 That twofer dress is really cute on you 🙂 Your personality and sense of humor always help brighten up my day! 💜
She is definitely a delight!
Add Copious amounts of white vinegar to the water in your wash and try again with that velvet dress (if you haven't already sent it back) White Vinegar works Wonders on odiferous laundry. (We farm, I know this for a fact)
I agree. I wash my dogs beds jackets and toys with white vinegar and it always works.
Gosh that was some kind of ordeal with the dress. I remember having some trouble with real silk blouses back in the day. Some fabrics just retain smells. I don’t know what detergent you are using but persil has one variety that target smells. ❤❤❤❤❤
I really appreciate how you fairly present your Observances. I feel like I can trust your opinion.
Hi Meredith! I love your facial expression in the thumbnail. You really captured what you were expressing in the video! So happy to be spoiled with an extra long Lulu sighting! ❤ 🐾 She loves that chair! You lifted up my day today, so thank you. 😊
Thank you so much, Dea! Lulu loved that chair, we were both sad to see it go 😩. But my aunt really loves it. Lulu is happy as long as she gets to be where her people are!! Have a wonderful week!
The second dress at the start of the video immediately made me think of plaid Christmas bows. So festive!
The gold dress was soooooo pretty!!!
I love watching your channel! 🤩😊
Thank you so much 🤗
Meredith those white, wide leg capris pants actually look really good on you! I also like the eyelash dress… it’s a keeper 🙏💕🎶🎉
A pleasure as always. Thank you for your enthusiastic joyous personality.
The Zola velvet maxi dress made me literally say "oooooooooo!" SO pretty!
Thank you! I think it is so pretty!! They sent a $20 coupon, so I decided that it was staying! I wore it to church a couple of weeks ago and it was very admired!
OMG, the tale of the malodorous dress was hilarious! Years ago I was given a number of white 1940s cotton blouses to sell by an old woman. The left armpit on each one was discolored yellow! It took numerous washes to get the yellow out, and I still couldn't get it completely out. They were too fragile to use bleach. I had to sell them "as is" which kept the price down!
You have such a golden personality
Ok, I really appreciate you explaining the process and how they handled it. I always feel like you give us a balance take. Love the velvet yellow and white dresses
I’m so glad that you found the video helpful!! I like to try to tell both the good and the bad sides!
I don’t understand why you don’t have more followers. You have one of my favorite channels. We have to share you!
Thank you, Barbara!! ❤️❤️
The gold dress was simply stunning on you!! What a dress for New Year's Eve or a special Christmas party!!!! Would love to see that one with your hair up -- and a deep rosy pink lipstick!
Love the red plaid dress!! I also like the cream/tanish one that looks like a sweater and skirt.
I honestly liked the last outfit, the sweater and pants. Thought that looked good on you 👍🏻😊. Good video 😃. 🙂🎶
Spray eucalyptus spray directly on the smelly area and wash with vinegar. Comes up not smelly at all.
Try a cup of vinegar in the wash to get rid of the smell. Or even directly in the pits.
Omgosh, that story about the smelly dress... I had goosebumps. I'm so sorry you went thru that and even more so that a co-worker made mention of BO. I loved the pants/capri on you. Give them another chance. Maybe w/a different top. Stay blessed. 💖
In all fairness, I work with family! My brother is my boss and there is a lot of honesty amongst siblings!! It was pretty embarrassing, all the same!!
I will try wearing the pants out, I’ve gotten some good feedback on them!
Have a wonderful day ❤️❤️
Easy to see why the velvet got so many compliments.
Thank you so much, Mary! I decided to keep it! ❤️❤️
The Zola velvet maxi was sooo nice, I hope you kept it!
Omg the smell thing is so gross! Such a bummer! Sounds like something that would happen to me. Also Meredith, your hair looks so nice in this video!
Thank you so much on the hair!! I think i finally got all of the smell out, but I don’t have any real desire to wear it, just smelly memories 😩
I think the last outfit looked so cute on you
I liked the casual blouse maybe different jeans or pants in Navy. I loved the last outfit on you the white pants without wrinkles and sweater. And of course the dress in cream that you loved. However, you are wearing these outfits and they look good to me and not feel good to you but your personality makes them cute. Lots of love
You are so sweet! Thank you!! I am going to iron the pants and give it another go!!
FYI, vodka in a spray bottle, spray the whole thing down let dry, it also kills germ and bacteria. It's what they use on costumes for stage as they have to be worn several time before they can even get cleaned. Also use vinegar in the fabric safener dispenser. However don't use baking soda and vinegar and the same time one is a base the other an alkaline they cancel each other out. Wash with backing soda then rinse with vinegar its also a natural fabric softener.
Kimberly, thank you! I have decided that I’m sending it back - I worked at scrubbing it with baking soda even more and think I may have the odor out- your method seems much quicker! I am going to keep it in my back pocket! Do you dilute the vodka?
@@BigonStyle Just some handy info to have, I had teen age boys that would only clean out the gym locker once a year so those were my tricks.
I like the idea of renting clothing, but I jsut can not get myself into it. But I can see why it is nice.
Virtual Sis! I haven’t gotten notifications on your last few vids - just so you know 😉. Love these honest reviews and experiences! So helpful. Keep slayin,’ Queen! ❤
I love the Fair Isle Sweater dress hanging behind you!
That is from Maurice’s, it’ll come up soon!
All the dresses at the beginning of the vid. looked really good on you and I am not a metallic person.
Ugh, so embarrassing. Glad they came through. TFS
I was just informed that my mom needs a lift chair! Perfect timing.
You're amazing!!!! Love you!!!❤❤🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍🌈🌈🌈🌹🌹🌹🤗🤗🤗🌺🌺🌺😘😘💐💐💐💐💕💕😉😉😀😀💖💖💖
Thank you so much for all of the love! 🥰🥰🥰
What a stinky situation! 😮 I wonder if it was the fabric or the previous wearer caused it….or cursed it! 😂
I am so sorry you had such a frustrating experience with the stinky dress, but you handled it with such humor and grace and had me laughing....only because I would probably have still been sniffing under arms for the next week lol Also....the camel colored sweater dress in your background??? It is adorable! Can you please share the brand? I have been looking for a Fair Isle sweater dress that I like forever...and it's on your clothing rack 😀
I loved the wide leg pants and sweater on you! Very cute. Please try on the tan sweater dress on the rack behind you!
Those are from Maurice’s- I will have that one out pretty soon!!
You are so lovely ❤ Thank you for being Awesome 🥰
That’s so sweet of you to say. ❤️❤️
I tried Nuuly too (not Nuuly thrift - the regular one) and with BOTH of my two shipments of rental clothing, at least three pieces were either damaged or obviously not washed (i.e. smelled like B.O. or cigarettes.). It was so gross and disappointing. I cancelled after just two shipments because they're not careful about sending things out in good condition.
Only a few minutes in, and I would 💯 percent keep the red puff sleeve. 😎 I’m going to look for that one for myself…
Mindy, I loved it on the model, but it just felt like so much fabric- but so incredibly festive!
@@BigonStyle And looking at it more closely, I would probably need to have it drastically hemmed, or wear it as a ballgown. 😜 So that will be a pass for me as well, unfortunately.
I love the two compliment dress, so make that three. You look so gorgeous in that and it is absolutely beautiful. I loved you in the polka dot dress too. We're in Pretty Woman territory again. As in, Vivian at the Polo match.
Also, I want that chair. How lucky are your family to have someone who cares so much about them. So kind to give sponsorship goodies to family who have need.
Is the Miss Stinky dress polyester or polyester mix. Researchers, apparently, discovered a form of bacteria that likes prefers to live on polyester specifically. As in it prefers the fibres and not the human body in it. It supposedly smells like BO but it's actually a smell produced by the bacteria feeding off the polyester fibres. I'm not certain if I remember every detail correctly but it's something like that. I've tried to find the specific scientific paper and can't but I know I read it. I did some research after I bought this really gorgeous chocolate brown African print polyester chiffon like butterfly arm drapey top and went shopping in it on a warm day. I took the bus and started thinking, "somebody sure is stinky on here". Then I realised it was me. It was a new top, first wear. Oh my, it stank like pits and doody. I do not smell like pits and doody. I am not a sweaty person, nor a naturally stinky one. When I got home and removed it, I sniffed myself...not stinky, then I sniffed the top...whoa boy...nasty. I had to bin it.
Yes!!!! I bought a new dress when I was looking for a new job. I went to my job interview and about 15 minutes in, the funk started. It graduated to the exact combination of smells you described. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! I was humiliated and, obviously, I wasn't hired. I just felt terrible about that poor woman having to sit the rest of the day in her office with that retch-inducing smell. At first I thought it was my new perfume and that it didn't work well with body chemistry (It was right after Christmas and I'd received it as a gift) so I tossed it. Then I thought maybe it was nerves, but I discarded that thought since I'd never been nervous until the stomach-churning smell started. Then I turned to the dress which reeked by now. I did the same as you and my research told me the same. It was the fabric. So I dug the perfume out of the trash and tossed the dress instead. Then took a LONG shower! 😂
@Lucinda_Jackson So I dug the perfume out of the trash and tossed the dress instead. Then took a LONG shower!
😆😂🤣
@@christracy2144
😂😂 I know myself well enough to know that if I took the shower first, I'd never remember to retrieve that perfume!
I really liked the velvet dress, as for the odor problem I found a product for clothes I have 2 sons so it is a must have item "Lume" odor remover you add to your wash. But buying used clothing should come clean, the company needs to step up on this. The chair actually would have been great after my surgery. I had to sleep in a recliner for 3 weeks after surgery. Shoulder surgery is brutal that way.
I didn’t know that Lume made a laundry additive! I have used their deodorants in the past! I think I have the smell out, but I am still planning on returning it. I don’t think I can wear it without worrying!
@@BigonStyle should have added both son's work very active jobs on shop floors so their clothes really smell, but yes I totally understand sending back, the ick factor is real!
I just love all the info I glean fdom watching your channei.
You make my day. Thanks
I think sending stinky back is the right thing. I would never trust her again even if I thought the stink was gone. The velvet dress is a stunner - the compliments are well deserved.
That is where I am!! I think I got all of the stink out finally- BUT- we now have trust issues!! ❤️❤️
I love the color shirt on you! Is awesome
Thank you, Marie!
Love ya lady. Great episode.
Right back atcha, Neda ❤️
I had a friend who only wore thrifted clothes. I just cannot bring myself to do it. And don't get me started with used shoes....eeewwww!
Oh, I cannot handle used shoes!! The worst I had had before this was a hole here and there… this just made me feel… gross!
L❤ve your channel. I am at that in between regular and plus sizes and you really help me decide what designs might work for me.
Can you share the link to your poshmark page? Would love to possibly try some of your discards.
Hey Ginette, thank you so much! I need to get better on posting to it, but this is my link: posh.mk/lcRZpTP01Ob
Another method for that smell is to put the garment in a bag and freeze it for at least 5 days. The bacteria 🦠🧫 will die.
Oohhh!! I had not heard of that one! Thank you so much!
I think there are some polyester fabrics that just don’t release odors.
Eileen- I think I may have gotten it out, but I’m sending the dress back and not chancing it! For all I know the smell is still there- as soon as I have worn it and it has gotten to body temp, it may creep out again!
Hello Meredith, Did you try oxyclean? Thank you.
Did you try vodka in a spray bottle? That’s what we use on theatrical costumes.
I did not! I finally got all of the smell out with the baking soda paste! Do you use straight vodka or dilute it?
😊
The color of that velvet dress suits you! Too bad it was smelly. If you love it, keep working on it!
You poo thing! This is why I don't wear polyester shirts. It makes you wish a garment could tell you what happened. So sorry you had such a bad day in the office. If it helps, I once went to go feed fish at my local hatchery... the food is oily and really smelly and not only did it soak into my hands, but my clothes. I didn't realize it until... after washing my hands thoroughly, I went to an event and someone near me said, "What is that smell?!!" I was mortified and left the event immediately. Now, If anyone wants to feed the fish, we wear gloves and go home afterward.
Oh no!!! I bet that oil was hard to get out!! It is always so embarrassing when that observation comes from someone else!!
I totally feel you on wishing that a garment could tell you what it has been through!! That thought was all over my mind!! ❤️❤️
@BigonStyle yeah. What sweaty mess mess happned? Did she run out of workout gear? Did she have an unexpected tryst? Did someone chase her? Was the thermostat on the blink? Did she feel terrible upon returning the dress? #themindreels.

Then there's the problem of some people not being able to smell themselves. My ex was a very persnickety, clean guy but about once a week he started coming home absolutely reeking. Unbelievably, he had no idea he smelled so terrible! He also had no idea why. He was in an upper management position in finance so it was imperative he figure it out - he couldn't attend meetings with that stench and he was horrified to realize that he actually had already and didn't want to get that reputation! So I began grilling him about his day every day so I'd have a good basis to help him figure it out the next time he came home smelly. It only took me one more time if the hideous smell to figure it out. We worked it out backwards and every time he ate lunch at a particular restaurant and ate foods with a little of garlic like Italian dishes or some things like beef stew, etc that would have a fair amount of garlic in them, that's when he'd had the problem! He's never had a problem before or after with garlicky foods and I use a lot of garlic in my cooking, too. The best we could come up with it had to be the form of garlic they used. Maybe garlic juice? 🤷🏼♀️ I'm only guessing because I used fresh garlic and garlic powder all the time and occasionally garlic salt, all without incident. Anyway, he stopped going there for lunch and never had a problem again. So weird!
