Oh my goodness, I’m so ready to film an shower at my house 🤣🤣. Our office is pretty awesome- we have a full shower in the back office (we’ve turned that office into a chill room with a couch, tv, workout equipment). As happy as I am to have it, I miss the convenience of home- we’re getting close!!
Red are a big yes. Baylor colors with the dress I did not notice the glasses with the dress, but I like them. 3rd pair did not garner a response, positive or negative. Artsy are a yes, they flatter your face and you wear enough colors and prints they would go with many pieces, I think it will depend on what you pair them with but the artsy dress is fabulous. My hands down fave was the black Edna glasses, they just look fun.

It is so dang expensive!! I always get 2 pairs and spend a small fortune even with our insurance- I don’t think this will keep me from getting glasses from the optometrist, but I can hopefully buy them less often!
Christine, I was so hesitant, but feel very comfortable with the process now! I would advise that you have your optometrist’s office measure your pupillary distance and put it on your prescription. Mine was on my prescription, but I have had some feedback asking how to get that number.

My opinion: Laurie first place (love the colors on that, they look great on you, and they don't overpower your face) and second place tie between Noyes and Lilith. I'm trying to imagine a world in which I can afford multiple pairs of glasses, but these prices look amazing.👓👓
I’ve worn glasses since the age of 3; I’m now 67. I have a really high presciption so I pay big bucks to get the thinnest lenses as possible. I think thin black frames are romantic. I am 70 and in the same boat. Glasses since 1st grade. My prescription always stayed ahead of technology just enough not to get cool glasses. 😢 My script is VERY expensive, and there are only a few labs in my state that makes them. I wore contacts for a few years, but then I started to need bifocals. I found it easier to wear bifocals than to carry a pair of glasses around with me. I can't get large lenses, because the outer edges would be an inch thick even with new technology. Without glasses, I am legally blind.

You did a great job picking all your glasses. They all look great on you. I’ve always gotten some wild patterns for sunglasses but I might need to rethink that. My family and I have been ordering from Zenni for almost 20 years. They have been better than the last pair I bought in person which cost a lot more. I wear bifocals and it’s not a normal prescription. It used to be lens were super cheap for the makers but I don’t know if that has changed.

Impressed they have a big collection with adjustable nose pads. I thought all the frames were fun. The last pair in black demand attention. I ordered all except the Andre as frame only, to take to my regular eye care provider to have two made into sunglasses & 2 with my regular prescription. I had a company reach out to me too. The first prescription was completely wrong. The second worked for distance perfectly BUT I could not see for reading. They asked me to share with my subscribers anyway. Ahh NO! These look very nice.
That would be a big fat negative!!! I have had that with dresses in the past- a company custom made dresses and one had plastic butterflies hot glued on it! - they asked me to film it, but not show them on camera!! An honest review or no review! I’m sorry that that turned out so poorly!!

I wear trifocals with transition lenses and there hasn't been one online glasses company that can make my glasses with my Rx. I also have Fresnel prisms because I have double vision 😢 it's just too complicated. Canadian here 🇨🇦 Canadian Tuxedo is not at all offensive and we take pride in that term! 😊

I've been using Zenni for quite a while and been very happy with them. I have coke-bottle lenses if I don't do the thinner version and it's so much cheaper through online companies than if I get them anywhere else. It's run about $40 USD in the past, but the last time I had to switch to bifocals and that ran the bill up to about $75 USD. I can live with that. I need to try progressive next time. Having the ability to see what you look like in specific frames on their site has been a game changer--it feels so much less risky to choose a frame you haven't seen in person.
I have a complicated prescription as well. I love wearing distinctive glasses and my eye doctor’s retail side Carrie’s lots of good choices . So here is my thing, this is a small town, down home practice. Everybody knows everybody and I may have taught their kids. So asking for my prescription to send away to an online optician seems disloyal. Sigh.

I would just make sure that your optometrist office measures your pupillary distance! I think there is a tutorial on doing it, but I am not confident enough in that!
Girl, I can relate! My old eye doctor got something wrong in my prescription and when I put on the glasses, everything was wiggling in my vision. I was almost immediately sick to my stomach and I got a headache. I tried to tell the staff that it was wrong and they kept telling me I just had to get use to it. Things wouldn’t stop moving, I couldn’t get use to it. My dad had to pop out the bad lens and replace it with my old prescription. I went to a new eye doctor after that. Bad prescriptions can be unbearable.
Well it’s a no brainer, my favs are the Laurie’s as well, that’s my name!😂 Seriously though I really do love the Laurie’s but my fav on you are the red and especially in the Canadian tuxedo outfit as well because I’m 🇨🇦 ian!😂😂 I too wear progressives and my last pair cost me 800$, with 500$ of it being my lenses! I also got a Tiffany frame and sadly I haven’t been able to wear them and I waited too long to go and get them worked out… They only had a 90 day guarantee and after getting many adjustments and twinges on the frames I realized too late it was also the lense prescription I couldn’t get used to…☹️ So I’m still wearing my last pair of glasses from 2020…😳 Glasses are just so expensive up here when you have transitions…and it’s such an expensive mistake to make if they don’t work out for you…☹️
Oh my goodness, Laurie!!! I would find a new optometrist! I had a chip on some enamel of a pair that I had gotten in 2019 that I wore to my last appointment- they were my bumming-around-the-house pair. They asked me about them and changed the frames out for me at no charge (leaving the existing lenses). That is such a huge expense to not be able to use!! Is Canadian tuxedo used there? I have heard the phrase several times since- but from Americans!
i have ued zenni optical and lensmart so far. i submit my receipts to my insurance for reimbursement. it takes a few weeks, but its definitely a win win for affordable progressives to match your mood and style.
I have been buying online for years. If you are purchasing lightweight lenses because of major correction, the cost will be massively less. I can't afford them any other way
I understand the glasses struggle! have worn glasses since I was 1.5 years old. I had eye surgery as a kid (lazy eye), did the contacts (my eyes said nope!) and paid for laser PRK in the early 2000's, back when it cost a fortune! I was not ready for the instant need for reading glasses in my 40's! 🤨I think you look great in all the glasses, but I really love the red, black (#1) and 2 tone ones. You REALLY suit the larger, bold frames. About your pumpkin spice issue, have you heard of skinny mixes? (website is same name) They are sugar free, zero calorie. I got one of my coffee loving friends addicted to them! 🤣Buy the pump for them, and they come in so many flavours including pumpkin spice! Canadian Tuxedo is not offensive, we can happily share that with our neighbour ❤🙂
I don’t find “Canadian tuxedo” offensive. Where I grew up in Ontario we also described a red/black buffalo plaid button-down flannel shirt as a “(name of sketchy nearby town) dinner jacket.” I loved ALL the glasses you tried on - even the big black ones. I’ve had good experiences buying glasses online from EyeBuyDirect and PairEyeWear, currently having fun with lots of magnetic ‘toppers’ from PairEyeWear to match my outfits etc. 🇨🇦 👕👖

@@BigonStyle yes I do! I’m impressed. It took some getting used to having the topper on and looking out (see a bit of an edge if that makes sense). They are no heavier than a regular pair. Actually might be a tish lighter.
My first pair of progressives were Verilux lenses and now I'm stuck. They have a particular grind to the prescription and I have issues with stability if it's not a Verilux lens. I did reach out to another online only glasses site but they didn't respond.
And you can see ok? Actually see well? That’s been my worst fear with ordering online. That maybe it’s someone in a factory slapping these glasses together and they have no idea what they are doing. That I won’t get the right prescription and it will be totally weird. I do love the choices you made. I really do. I might even consider choosing red to rep my favourite hockey team! #LetsGoCanes!! And I adore Edna Mode! The Incredibles is one of my favourite movies! As long as you can see well though. I would also have transitions and want blue light blocking technology. Is 5 choices a standard thing? How many can I choose? I used to wear the “invisible” glasses. My father was very cruel about the fact that I needed glasses. But he was cruel all the time and the less I could draw his attention, the better. Thank the Lord that I am free from him now. (Sorry, I digress). I’m looking forward to fun glasses now. So here is my thing, this is a small town, down home practice. Everybody knows everybody and I may have taught their kids. So asking for my prescription to send away to an online optician seems disloyal. Sigh.
You are delightful! I’ve always been reluctant to try online prescriptions because mine are similar to yours. Maybe I’ll give these a try.
Andrea, I hear you- I don’t know that I would have if the company had not reached out to me, but I am very comfortable with the idea now! I would just make sure that your optometrist office measures your pupillary distance! I think there is a tutorial on doing it, but I am not confident enough in that!

Girl, I can relate! My old eye doctor got something wrong in my prescription and when I put on the glasses, everything was wiggling in my vision. I was almost immediately sick to my stomach and I got a headache. I tried to tell the staff that it was wrong and they kept telling me I just had to get use to it. Things wouldn’t stop moving, I couldn’t get use to it. My dad had to pop out the bad lens and replace it with my old prescription. I went to a new eye doctor after that. Bad prescriptions can be unbearable.

I too wear progressives and my last pair cost me 800$, with 500$ of it being my lenses!
I also got a Tiffany frame and sadly I haven’t been able to wear them and I waited too long to go and get them worked out…
They only had a 90 day guarantee and after getting many adjustments and twinges on the frames I realized too late it was also the lense prescription I couldn’t get used to…☹️
So I’m still wearing my last pair of glasses from 2020…😳
Glasses are just so expensive up here when you have transitions…and it’s such an expensive mistake to make if they don’t work out for you…☹️
Oh my goodness, Laurie!!! I would find a new optometrist! I had a chip on some enamel of a pair that I had gotten in 2019 that I wore to my last appointment- they were my bumming-around-the-house pair. They asked me about them and changed the frames out for me at no charge (leaving the existing lenses). That is such a huge expense to not be able to use!!
Is Canadian tuxedo used there? I have heard the phrase several times since- but from Americans!

i have ued zenni optical and lensmart so far. i submit my receipts to my insurance for reimbursement. it takes a few weeks, but its definitely a win win for affordable progressives to match your mood and style.
I have been buying online for years. If you are purchasing lightweight lenses because of major correction, the cost will be massively less. I can't afford them any other way
I understand the glasses struggle! have worn glasses since I was 1.5 years old. I had eye surgery as a kid (lazy eye), did the contacts (my eyes said nope!) and paid for laser PRK in the early 2000's, back when it cost a fortune! I was not ready for the instant need for reading glasses in my 40's! 🤨I think you look great in all the glasses, but I really love the red, black (#1) and 2 tone ones. You REALLY suit the larger, bold frames. About your pumpkin spice issue, have you heard of skinny mixes? (website is same name) They are sugar free, zero calorie. I got one of my coffee loving friends addicted to them! 🤣Buy the pump for them, and they come in so many flavours including pumpkin spice! Canadian Tuxedo is not offensive, we can happily share that with our neighbour ❤🙂
I don’t find “Canadian tuxedo” offensive. Where I grew up in Ontario we also described a red/black buffalo plaid button-down flannel shirt as a “(name of sketchy nearby town) dinner jacket.” I loved ALL the glasses you tried on - even the big black ones. I’ve had good experiences buying glasses online from EyeBuyDirect and PairEyeWear, currently having fun with lots of magnetic ‘toppers’ from PairEyeWear to match my outfits etc. 🇨🇦 👕👖

@@BigonStyle yes I do! I’m impressed. It took some getting used to having the topper on and looking out (see a bit of an edge if that makes sense). They are no heavier than a regular pair. Actually might be a tish lighter.

My first pair of progressives were Verilux lenses and now I'm stuck. They have a particular grind to the prescription and I have issues with stability if it's not a Verilux lens. I did reach out to another online only glasses site but they didn't respond.
And you can see ok? Actually see well? That’s been my worst fear with ordering online. That maybe it’s someone in a factory slapping these glasses together and they have no idea what they are doing. That I won’t get the right prescription and it will be totally weird.
I do love the choices you made. I really do. I might even consider choosing red to rep my favourite hockey team! #LetsGoCanes!!

I used to wear the “invisible” glasses. My father was very cruel about the fact that I needed glasses. But he was cruel all the time and the less I could draw his attention, the better. Thank the Lord that I am free from him now. (Sorry, I digress). I’m looking forward to fun glasses now.
Sunglasses are fun sometimes. And you can certainly have some expensive sunglasses.
