What do you guys do for your Berkshires shot wise...deworming...everyone says I'm crazy for going the natural way that it won't work...what say you? I was told no corn and no soy = no meds?
so far we’ve been lucky. only had a few in the beginning that needed antibiotics due to a pneumonia like cough. otherwise we work with our vet when somethings not right and he understands we only want the basics per pig as needed. So far we’ve not needed anything other than case by case antibiotics Dewormer is probably the biggest issue. We’ve used diatomaceous earth on some occasions. ,We sell our meat publicly and pigs are on pasture so we have to deworm a couple times a year using a medical dewormer so they don’t keep living in the soil. Just focus on the animal health and do what’s best. Don’t just vaccinate or medicate in advance but be smart and realistic. There are some things you just have to address.
Cool thanks!
You bet!
