The problem is with the devs and the higher ups... The devs can see that the game needs to grow more realistic and every year they make a change that makes the game more realistic and the community cries. The devs have to stand on their changes and force the consumer to get better at the new changes. A bigger problem is that the devs are so available to the community, that needs to stop, some of the devs and marketing people want to be buddies with these 2k streamers and get influenced by just their hindsight.
The biggest issue with 2K is that they don’t know how to balance the game. It’s not the community. If something is overpowered they nerf it and it’s terrible or if something is underpowered they buff it to much and it becomes overpowered. They don’t know how to find a middle ground for game mechanics
Every year whatever I excel at 2k nerfs it.. so I think they more focus on the cheeses and those fringe exploits. Watch next year they how they nerf floaters

Casuals cry the most if we’re being honest, they will go months without playing the game and hop back on and expect to be just as good as people that’s been playing the game the whole year. But this notion, that ppl have about comp is crazy. Just because someone is good at something doesn’t mean they can’t voice their opinions if the product is broken. But you always want to look at it as crying.
Most comp players strictly play to the meta, comp doesn't mean good. Most comp players in 2k are just exploit abusers and when they can't shoot 70-80% on jumpshots, can't spam left to right, or getting ripped to much they always call for changes. Casuals voice aren't getting heard because Casuals don't contribute to the large amount of money 2k makes off VC in reality most of the casual complaints fall on deaf ears they only listen to the ppl that's dumb enough to participate in their VC scam

While your statement stands correct 2k does need to change its matchmaking system to match pvp on a skill based system I play 2k almost every night after work, and in rec center me and my team have had purple plates nearly all year and we rarely ever play other purple plates we’ll play black and bronze plates which ends in a easy win for us 90% of the time it not only kills the game for the opponents it makes it boring for us I’m not saying either party is the issue but 2K NEEDS to restructure their entire matchmaking
2k isnt a bad game in itself. The base game is still good, but i do wish other game modes besides MyCareer get more attention. Playing 2k by yourself is so much fun. 2k didn't ruin the game/franchise, the community did because the community enables 2k.
I preordered college football 25 and bought a few action games to play im 😂 going back to my roots I started off with action games and adventure rpgs and basketball my favorite sport played at various levels as well but im waiting for this 2k go on sale it’ll be 20 dollars or 30 dollars in a few months im not rep grinding so im not missing nothing

I'm not hopeful for 25' and I've been a loyal customer since 19. I heard the MyCareer storyline was you start out as a USC player and have to just average 5 points then make it to the Lakers to start your career.

What is really happening is the newness starts to wear off and more people find cheese and/or have a better understanding of the game. So after a couple months the people that was dominant in the beginning have more competition and they hate it.
2K could never drop a DLC like Fromsoft and sell 5 Million copies in 3 days. It’s the lack of quality in the single player experience that’s killing 2K every year ngl. When MyCareer not being able to enjoyable experience hampers the longevity of the game. Listening to Park guys and becoming more of a live service game, is killing the game faster than they want to admit. Especially with gamers reverting back to single player games because of micro transactions, and there basically being a renaissance with single player games.
People complain to get the game to cater to their personal style of play, the game is not made for one style of play! Everyone has to be taken into consideration. Don't complain just adjust accordingly.

I have to give the community more of the blame for this. We know that microtransactions come first for 2k and gameplay second. Knowing this, the people with the most influence and community leverage their powet to get 2k to patch the game. 2k doesn't mind breaking its game, as long as microtransactions increase and influencers don't mind breaking the game because, then they can make content about how the game is broken to boost views when excitement about the game deceeases and views drop....and thus the cycle repeats. If we want a good game, we have to stop demanding patches.

To me, 2k23 ps4 is my favorite of all time. It was very easy to grind to 99 and stay there. Bigs can shoot so you cant camp in the paint. Good game all around. 24 on ps5 is trash.
It’s clear there’s a problem with contest. Create a slashing build with a 99 driving dunk and use the Precision Dunk and watch how somebody with an 87 block will make your entire bar disappear. HOF Poster and everything and watch how your bar acts dumb as hell all the time. Tired of this game disrespecting a 99 dunk. I compare 2K to politics. They campaign, create a marketing plan create teams to get info from the community then find a way to monetize it. They make promises and in the beginning, sometimes deliver (ex. Defense) then when ppl complain due to not being able to conform they patch and make changes which ultimately result in more complaints until they go down a rabbit hole that they cant comeback from.. which results in less ppl playing.. this Is in my opinion why they drive up prices, If im a dev and I know I'm dealing with a community that is never satisfied I'm focused on gettn the bag early... and let the chips fall how they may... Of course it's greedy bt its a business, which as any business is driven or destroyed by the consumer.. want changes stop buying.

After that NADEXE cried to the devs because he couldn’t shoot! Nadexe blamed the delay in the park for why he couldn’t shoot. So what did the devs do attempt to fix “delay” that messed up shooting and changed timing ⏱️ and everything. The community was in a frenzy. Yes 2k is partly the blame but I blame some of these toxic ass streamers. 💯 I could go on but that was the start of it all!
If you go out to eat at a expensive restaurant and pay a lot of money and the food comes out bad would you blame yourself for bad service and food? Well, that’s my take on blaming 2K not us.

People stop being lazy just learn the system it would be good for 2K to add a practice mode/tutorial system that almost every game has that learns you the fundamentals of shooting
