Awesome man thanks for sharing the info I'm getting rdy to drop the ls outta my silverado into an s10 and was trying to figure out what I was gonna do for wiring to just get it drivable to move it around under its own power without murdering the stock wiring harness from the silverado lol and not spending a shit ton on computer and wiring until I'm ready to rly lay down some horses
Bought a junkyard harness too many codes and problems. Bought 2 ebay harness both had mis match wires , bad fuse box etc Bought a BP Automotive harness.. will test it this summer..
I purchased one of those harness. And one of the sensors was in the wrong pin in the ecu plug I forgot what was the sensor but it was needed to start the engine.

When I started my S10 swap, there weren't any obvious cheap harnesses like that. I'm still planning to mod my factory harness, but I would likely buy one of these if I were starting the swap now. How was the flexibility of the wires? Did you happen to compare the feel of the plugs to factory?
hello , you are correct . i uses a ls1 drive by cable harness for this build. i had to use injector adapter that convert from ls1(ev1 style) to the truck (multec style) injectors. also needed a throttlebody adapter plug to use the truck style MAF

U need to enlarge the IAC hole on the inside of the TB bore.
That’ll make it run better without sounding like a vacuum leak
just swapped back to a stock for now

no exhaust on the vehicle at this time thats open headers echoing through out the shop
I assume the harnesses you purchased wouldn’t work for a manual transmission???

well theres quite a debate about that in the LS community , im not running any but some people feel they are useful tools to help with tuning.
Can you show how you wired the lose wires in??? Where do they go? I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado that had a v6 and swap a v8 into it.

amazon 90mm throttle has a hard un machined edge in the throttle body thats causes that aweful noise

Not worth the time and effort just buy a harness and enjoy . Looks cleaner and saves the headache.

I have a 2003 5.3 L Silverado CU this is a LS one ECU are you running a truck ECU I thought a couple of the wires were different on the body harnesses

would that be the TV cable for a 700r4 below your throttle cable?
