Slippery slope. You might make all charities pay taxes then. A better solution is to make churches pass a charity test. Do they qualify as a charity to help others? Instead of all churches getting to skip that test that all other charities have to jump through, just for the quality that they are a church.
@@andrewferrauiolo4618 While on the whole, they do a disservice to society, there is still systems that do help. Food banks, charity, health care, these are benefits, despite what negative they can also have. Hell, there's a Sikh Temple that feeds 50,000 people each fucking day. Really gonna take that away?
17:28 Man, that guy went from "nobody is proselytizing to your kids" to "people are saying no [to what we're trying to do] and that's a tool of the devil" really quick, didn't he?
If a student needs parental permission too see the caplain, why not take the kid to their churches religious leader? And I seriously doubt any nonChristian would want to see a chaplain. But to students require parental permission to see a school counselor?
As a pagan who goes to a public school, they're not pagan. I asked the counselor if I could veil because it's against the dress code, and I enjoy veiling. It's for religious reasons and it helps me with my nuerodivergence because it keeps the hair off the back of my neck. Long story short. I'm not allowed to do it, no matter how much I tried to explain myself. They thought it was a made up religion because "paganism is a dead religion, you can't practice it." And told me that gangsters wear things like that.
Moving to the Pacific Northwest for collage from a fundie Christian high school in Florida. Can't wait for the culture shock (5 days until I move) I can finally transition tho, so while that will be scary (thx school environment) it'll definitely be worth it
I'm disabled and stuck in Texas but I have been in the PNW before...I LOVE it. It's expensive there but so beautiful. I was there the last couple of years of HS and I felt so much more at home there. Congratulations! 🎉 I hope everything works out for you 😊
31:10 man I feel that one lol. I was in private Christian schools in SoCal through 6th grade, moved to NE Ohio and public schools for 7th grade. "Culture shock" is a pretty soft descriptor for that experience 👀
Best part of the debate, where Harris is taking down Trump for his Taliban collusion and pauses to imply she's about to call Trump a MFer before using more appropriate language for television.
Someone should record the amount of money being spent on even for voting whether to put a committee together or not, somehow i think parents will hate how much of their tax dollars go to even entertaining this cr@p.
Every church should have to pay taxes like everyone else
And their financial records should be open to congregants.

Is Bangor so rural that they don't have enough public schools to serve the population without resorting to vouchering Christian schools?
