Ok I have one question plz tell me🙏🙏🙏🙏 My Question is why are the drums in FL Studio when we make it very very high and the sound is like.... I'll just give you Eg.. ok like ting ting will be there but not Dum Dum. I know my English is worst but I hope you understand.
This guy's made a psytrance and deep house bass with the most simplest synthesizer in FL studio. I've been using Harmless for the past 6 months playing around and just flicking random knobs trying to figure out how to create some basses for my latest track. It all makes sense now lol. This tutorial has done me wonders man, you have no idea how thankful I am that you put this up and that I know what all of these functions do. No need to purchase serum anymore.
Thanks for the kind words, I'm always happy to help. Please do suggeest any tutorials you would like me to make and feel free to join my discord community too (linked in the description) :)
@@inthemix hey can you make a video on how to use looperman ??? I think its the best website to find free vocals and samples but i dont know how to use it And ya also thank you so much for your videos😊😊❤❤❤❤
@@inthemix omg thank you for taking the time to answer me, i would absolutely love to see a video of yours with ways on how to make things sound good but also respecting the other elements of a song, that would be amazing, Thank you again ❤️
Duuude. This is AMAZING. Even without watching your videos on sound design (which is what I will definitely do next) I have already learned so much. Not to mention that I'm not intimidated by the interface of that synth anymore. Thank you!
Whoa! Thats absolute insane! I just bought FL Studio Signature Edition yesterday after being on Mobile for so long, and I grew a great interest in this plugin when I first open the software. You are a gem Michael! 💯
I've known FL Studio for years, but stumbling upon your channel recently has motivated me to go back to FL Studio!! Thank you SO MUCH for all the tutorials and stuff you've been putting so much value for free! One day it will come back to you, trust me
I needed 3 hours for the tutorial because every time you explained a feature, i had to experiment with it. I love your tutorials,...they are didactically and methodically really good. THX for that and keep up the good work!
this is incredible, I've just started using FL as my first DAW and this video is super helpful for demystifying this tool and making it much more approachable
I gotta say, I've not had many educational youtubers that I can always return to. Either they have a niche skillset, are focused on just super beginner stuff, I just stop enjoying the way they conduct themselves over time, or the way they teach is different enough from the way I learn that I can't keep with them for too long. I've never had that problem here, not in one single video, and I know we all point it out already, but the amount of teaching and education he puts out into the world for free at such a high quality is really unmatched. I'm not saying there aren't other quality music educators here on TH-cam but Michael (I'm sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) puts off an air of just actually caring about teaching people the things he knows. I will not at all be surprised when the next generation of producers are constantly shouting him out for helping them figure things out right at the start. Thanks for all the practical education, teach!
Best. FL. TH-camr. Ever. I make heavy bass music but everything you do helps me even know it's 2 separate genres that never happens with other TH-camrs.
You’re a real legend man, I can hear my sound get better every time I watch one of your videos. When I blow up I’m definitely giving you like 80% of the credit for that 😂
This synth has a GUI that looks like rocket science, and Micheal explains it like its 1 + 1. Great job! Id personally like a Sakura tutorial next, or a redo of the sytrus tutorial
I love tutorials like that where you treat me like I don't know anything, because I really don't! Thank you very much! This content is very valuable. an amazing teacher. Hugs from Brazil ❤❤❤✨✨✨
Michael...nice to meet ya. I am glad to see you growing as a successful youtuber as well as a dedicated tutor. Good luck. Eagerly waiting for your need tutorials.
That's a great video, and it came up just when I picked an interest in this plugin. I tried using it a couple days ago but couldn't really figure out the use of the different knobs and ended up tweaking them with no real idea of what I was doing. This video does help a lot, making me even more eager to try and master this plugin. Thank you Michael
Thank you much, FL studio had the end of the world (year) sale and i finnaly did the last upgrade, wonderful synth and so glad you are here to teach others!
@@inthemix yes exactly! I don't know if you remember now, but I made a comment to that effect on your Sytrus tutorial video and you replied (very encouragingly) to that
I just started to think all those comments were bots... But man ! What an incredible presentation of the functionalities of Harmless. Thanks bro for making it understandable🔥
Again, Mike, thanks for making the content freely available. However, I think you should also consider making your own course or something. This is valuable information.
Omg, I just understood from this video what and why it’s worth rolling around in any plugin, thanks a lot! Harmless and Harmor together know everything. No need poison expensive and overcomplicated external plugins.
I feel like there's wisdom in using a fairly simple/limited synth like this. For me personally, any of the more complex ones I've tried (Harmor, Sytrus, Sylenth) lead to confusion and decision paralysis. If you're not going for dubstep fat growls and ridiculous sounds, I feel like you're better off with something like Harmless. Excellent video as always btw!
I'm sure this'll be offensive to many, but a lot of those ridiculous sounds are...well...ridiculous. I suppose it's only a matter of taste, but those distorted bases that sound like a monster-sized pig being electrocuted just don't exactly give me the warm fuzzies.
The "VEL" button that shows up all over the place will link that setting to the velocity of the note. That is, the harder you hit the note, the more that effect is applied. By default it's just the volume level that is affected by VEL but you can activate it on many other settings.
Awesome. Thanks for taking the time to break it up into sections too. I recently learned how to do some sound design with serum so it relates well with this and made it easy to understand.
Here is my story:- I dreamt of becoming a producer in June this year 2020, i did not know how to compose own music, which software is needed, somehow I came to know that there are softwares like fl studio. I spent 1 month in downloading and learning fl studio. His channel has videos that can help you grow from zero. I remember the first video i saw of michael brother/sir. I learnt fl studio inside out in 4-5 months( also there was google baba) which helped me clear the doubts. I have not taken/brought a single course of music production . his channel has all of them. This sudden change in me would not have been possible if Michael was not there. Somehow, many moments are left where i need to show what i learnt but there is no way to repay Michael's help.(i went emotional writing the last few lines)😭😭 but love you brother❤️❤️

i do still recommend serum though
It's far from the simplest synth. Most iconic synths sounds were created on pretty primitive equipment by modern standards.
Harmless is so great for chordstacks, despite being a stock plugin I think it’s amazing and highly overlooked. Even for other sounds, too
I completely agree, and knowing how good your sound design skills are I'd certainly respect your opinion highly!
