What do you mean? How can the quality be better by hurrying? You mean that you will finish the song by doing random things and eventually fix them at the end in the mastering? It have nothing to do with the quality of the end result. But if it is easier for you than that is another thing.

0:40 Also helps to keep the "Z-Cross" button enabled (up-left in the playlist), that prevents pops and noises when cutting audio.
13:00 Also in automation clips, the "pan" and "vol" knobs in the channel rack turns into "min" and "max" so is like an offset but with more control over the full range of movement.

these are some great tips I'm mad I didn't know earlier. a tip of mine is to use the generators tab under the current project tab in the browser, which can give you access to the controls of any plugin and allow you to control them from there. this is a lifesaver when you want to automate a parameter in a 3rd party plug-in that doesn't support right click in its UI

    • @TheKillERzOne01
      @TheKillERzOne01 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@inthemix No. Let me explain that to you in detail !
I wanna learn mixing and mastering. What I do is just watch random videos on Eq, some compressor tips tricks, then some other day I watch about saturation etc...
so at the end of the day I'm learning something, but it's not in a sequential manner or I'd say its not scheduled properly. So that, I finally end up learning pieces about everything . But nothing is 100 percent clear.
So what I want you to do is... help me out with a "schedule " .
      Here's my example...
      1. First learn about what an eq is.
      2. Then leran about types of eq
      3. Then learn how to apply eq
      4. Then how to use eq
      So this was for EQ
      Next for compressor,
      1. What's a compressor
      2. How does it work
      3. Where to use
      4. Types
      5. How to
      Then say a reverb
The same applies for every mixing technique.
So it'd be great if you give me an idea of the whole mixing picture and a " road map " on what to learn next and next ! Hope you help me .

There's a trick that I discovered accidentally, but it has been my favorite ever since.
All you need to do is 'Press the scroll button' on your mouse and then press the 'Right Click'. Remember that this action needs to be quick and it will open up tools window to select the different cursors and even other playlist options. Do like this comment so I can know if it helped you too. And thanks Michael for this video.

@@STANLEY2BRICKS This worked for me on external mouse. Just press and hold the scroll button, the moment you release the scroll button you have to press the right click of the mouse and you should see a playlist tools and menu appear at the mouse location. I am not sure if this works on all versions of Fruity.

"Never Lose an Idea" is mind blowing! It happened to me so many times, just randomly experimenting with a synth, oh what a nice idea I like it, record, and completely forget what I had in mind. How much I wish I had known this before.......

The Tips i can give are
Hold Ctrl + N to save a duplicate of your current project.
On the Playlist after you split by channel use the + and - buttons on the keyboard to select the pattern you want.

    Many thanks yet again, Michael.
My best tip -- once you have a few patterns sorted out, go to the Playlist, select all the patterns by right'clicking on the keyboard icon, and drag them all on top of the Track column. That auto-names a new track for each pattern, and puts an instance of each pattern at the start. If the patterns have colours, the tracks will adopt those too.
My biggest gripe -- when I ask for 'random' colours, I don't want random colours, I want DIFFERENT colours. Yes, I know that's not what 'random' means, but it's what I want.
