0:40 Also helps to keep the "Z-Cross" button enabled (up-left in the playlist), that prevents pops and noises when cutting audio.
13:00 Also in automation clips, the "pan" and "vol" knobs in the channel rack turns into "min" and "max" so is like an offset but with more control over the full range of movement.

I just realize some tips in this tutorial are much easier done in Ableton Live.
    - 00:40 activating Fade controls in an audo track in Ableton only takes Cmd / Ctrl + Option/Alt + F (if I am not mistaken)
    - 7:24 In Ableton Live, stereo tracks are displayed in multichannel waveform views by default.
Anyway, this is a great tutorial, as I am still learning FL.

The professionalism in your channel is *next level*. Got interest towards mixing and mastering only after watching your videos. Also I'd recommend you to give a study planner kinda video... so that beginners like me can knlw what to learn next and next !

That's a good idea. A "How to start learning Music Production" sort of video?

    • @sriramfes
      @sriramfes 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@inthemix No. Let me explain that to you in detail !
I wanna learn mixing and mastering. What I do is just watch random videos on Eq, some compressor tips tricks, then some other day I watch about saturation etc...
so at the end of the day I'm learning something, but it's not in a sequential manner or I'd say its not scheduled properly. So that, I finally end up learning pieces about everything . But nothing is 100 percent clear.
So what I want you to do is... help me out with a "schedule " .
      Here's my example...
      1. First learn about what an eq is.
      2. Then leran about types of eq
      3. Then learn how to apply eq
      4. Then how to use eq
      So this was for EQ
      Next for compressor,
      1. What's a compressor
      2. How does it work
      3. Where to use
      4. Types
      5. How to
      Then say a reverb
The same applies for every mixing technique.
So it'd be great if you give me an idea of the whole mixing picture and a " road map " on what to learn next and next ! Hope you help me .

One trick I usually use for de-noising is I take the recording of the instrument with the noisy background and a recording of just the noise and reverse the polarity of the noise. De-Noisers might be better though but I'm not sure since they both do the job pretty well to me.

Instrument and audio tracks are ridiculously underrated. Link a sound to a channel and playlist track while auto naming and coloring it in one click. Also when you then automate something on that channel it makes a new playlist track under the main one specifically for that parameter.
And with audio tracks, if u set it to a mixer channel ur recording into with a mic, u can set it so when u record a new take it automatically mutes and groups the last take too. So clean for comping
