if its not because of it's Rifle Grenade attachment, it could've been one of my top guns for this game They should've made the scope detachable like Sturmgewehr & trade the rifle grenade with a bayonet
At one point I had accidentally reset the game and lost all my progress, and I was happy about that. It meant I could use the G43 in a usable form again. Once that scope goes on that's it, it's done. It goes from being a solid rifle to a tacti-cool sniper. The higher capacity and faster follow-up shots can be appealing, but if I'm going for long range then I prefer the 1903 for its higher damage and range.
weapon inaccuracy & short campaign aside This game's gunplay is so much fun. Even on par with its rivals around the time that this game was released Guns are pretty strong & punchy, killing an enemies are alot more satisfiying, & the animations are pretty decent for its time. And its one of the few FPS games that did Trenchgun a proper justice (you can fire the Trenchgun alot quicker if you "slamfire" it. Read : fire it while holding down the sight) Bonus point for the fact that you could convert C96 into full auto M712 once you've maxed it out
WRONG te game doesn't tell you that using iron sights and moving will result in player leaning likea a dumbass to the sides not even first call of duty did that crap MoH airborne is years behind first call of duty in terms of gunplay and while on GUN play topic, AI likes to rush for melee for some reason
Jonathan Ferguson Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK of which houses a collection of thousands of iconic weapons from thoughout history has finally smiled at a WWII game for once.
2:18 Also, because the Thompson drum mags are inserted/removed from the side, you can't remove them unless the bolt is retracted first. This is because the bolt hold-open isn't activated by the drum so the bolt just sits in between the feed lips when empty
I can assure you the ping is actually there on the xbox version of the game. Only flaw in the ping is that it was stupidly delayed after the 8th round was shot.
As a point of fact, most guys with the grenade launchers on their M1 wouldn't use the issued sight and would simply place the sling under their boot and adjust accordingly. Also, it bothers me that the M1 doesn't ping. I can't remember if it did when I played the game or not. But yeah, while it's unlikely someone on the receiving end would hear it, the user definitely can.
Although those are honest mistakes, they are easily forgiven for the sake of gameplay. What's not forgiven is stuff like red dot sights and laser stuff on those guns that COD Vanguard did which is unforgivable for a game.
I don't think a game as good as Medal of Honor Airborne which is associated with nostalgia for many people, deserves such content but the damage is done and my world is burning.
2:37 There is actually a dual 32 round magazine variant (which is 64 rounds) of the MP40 called the MP40/I. The MP40/I was made to compete with the 71 round drum magazine of the Soviet PPSh-41, but it ended up being unreliable and the Germans would use captured PPSh's instead
It was frustrating to see the Trench Gun reloaded intentionally with the pump back only for it to just teleport forward to do the classic "pump every reload" thing video games do. Holding the pump back doesn't seem like it would work for the Trench Gun if I remember right.
There are 2 weapons cut from the game. But if you look up the concept arts from the Steam loading page, there are: FG42 - Muzzle brake - 20 round magazine - (It wasn't very clear what the last upgrade was) M1 carbine - Bayonet - 30 round magazine - M2 conversion kit (fully automatic)
It’s worth noting the main parachute wouldn’t deploy out the nose of the aircraft like that. “Hooking up” means the static line is attached to the anchor line cable. If the snap hook can slide right off the cable and not stop at the end of travel, then it never pulls the parachute from the pack..
Hooo boy, there’s gonna be a lot. Though, this was definitely one of my favorite games on the 360/PS3 era. Going nuts with a Tommy was some of the best fun I had, and mastering the aiming mechanics (leaning and strafing) was a blast despite taking a good while to get used to. For those who don’t know, imagine Wolfenstein the new order aiming where holding r1/RB puts you in a leaning mode and L2/LT to ADS but instead it’s reversed where L2/LT puts you in leaning mode ADS while holding R1/RB while aiming in leaning ADS mode allows you to strafe while aiming lol.
Its still one of my favorite ww2 games/series to this day. Criminally underrated if you ask me, although ww2 game fatigue mightve been going on around 2007 and may have contributed. One thing we can all agree on is its still better than COD Vanguard. 😂
Some extras: The M1921/8's bolt cannot lock back on a drum magazine and must be pulled back before changing mags The M18 RR doesn't firing caseless ammo, drop that shit out before inserting a new round You forgot to showcase the Panzershreck, which much like a lot of other games, the RPZB 54 reload skips the wire connecting process when reloading
@@munanchoinc also the bar doesn't have a return spring for the charging handle, you have to push it forward. How weird was weapons in games back in the days 😂
And not only this the gewerh 43 you don't need to push it you just doing it little back and going forward from its self and the same with m1 garand and if the reloads are bad if the barrel have a shell in side you don't need to do shutter you just changing the mag and the guy didn't do that he did the shutter even if is 49/50 and and if you see the elite German with mg42 he didn't do the actual shutter he did the grip a shutter (btw you can put out the scope of stg 44)
i really loved the G43 in this game until i unlocked the scope and found you cant remove upgrades. i hated that dang scope

are you dumb? it is to be distinguished to the garand

Why the bullet casings coming out of the end of the barrel tho

After 10 years I discover that the Thomson has a "Bolt stop" feature with the box Mag so you don't have to pull back che carrier in order to shoot
@@enricob15 A pretty useful feature. The Bren has the same function. Honestly, I'm surprised more open bolt weapons haven't used it
@@seanherrmann6301 also the Bren? Cool
Remember this game has super nazis on meth in heavy armor wielding MG42 firing them in full auto with perfect precision while they were walking
Its still more realistic than an STG44 in the Pacific in 1943 in COD Vanguard.

The hammer on the M1911A1 does move, it's only for a couple of frames that you can see it strike the firing pin before being forced back by the slide.
M1 Garand in games almost always has the noob super wide rear aperture

Love how he nitpicks everything but ignores the shells ejecting from the barrel
That's FOV bug. The game normally has like 65 FOV, and feels extremely claustrophobic. You can increase it, but weapon models will look odd

7:16 The BAR is more accurate when depicted without a bi-pod. Those weren't in use during WW2, at least not in the European Theatre.
And for some reason you can't reload the m1 garand if you have shells in it
Maybe the mp40 not being zeroed is why it literally can't hit anything outside of a 5 foot range
