Hey, I'm currently a Developer on HDTF and we really appreciate the Feedback ( any actually ). As a fun fact, I was looking into fixing the World Models for these weapons. If you want to know whats wrong with those, well, everything. For once they are insanely HP, and the textures sometimes become even more cursed. Example, the Revolver's textures are just beyond borked, the sights are just yellow as somehow the UV got placed onto the same space as the cartridges... I will personally look into fixing some of these issues myself, specifically texturing related issues. For other issues such as Muzzle flash, unspent cases ( setting up a texture swap would be too bothersome maybe we can do a second model for that ), I'll see who from the team can do that, as it's not my special area of expertise

Yah, like you don’t need 3 different light pistols, 1 is enough, nor do you need 2 sniper rifles. Sure it adds some immersion when everyone isn’t using the same thing but if your world building is done right, you can have the rebels be using the Smgs and all.
@LOAN NGUYEN I was referring to Half Life 2 and how it has a light pistol and a heavy pistol instead of needing 3 pistols that does the same job. L4D however does a very good job of justifying why every weapon has a use to them instead of just feeling like another reskin with even tier 1 guns having uses even after you get tier 2/3 guns.
@Freesmart That was Opposing Forces that had the Deagle, the difference however is that the Revolver and Pistol is distinct enough with different ammunition and uses. The Deagle is a fancier Revolver while the M9 is a reskin of the pistol and you never get the chance to use a Glock as well. If it’s too confusing here is a break down HL1: 1 light and 1 heavy pistol HLOF: 1 light and 1 heavy pistol

I believe the early Counter Strike games did that, but I could be wrong. I just remember the dust cover going crazy in them, and early CS used inverted models for most weapons so you would always see the dust cover on the M4, meaning you could see that error.
The fact the guy behind HDTF was able to fraudently claim this was experience working for Valve and get jobs in other companies is just amazing how shitty the industry really is.
Another sin you missed at 7:20: Mitchell doesn’t block the Kar98k’s magazine with his thumb when pulling the bolt back to reload. By not doing so, he would’ve ejected an unspent round, forcing him to (in this case) load four rounds instead of three.

I just recreated Hunt Down the Freeman's weapons in Call of Duty Mobile, and they're more reliable in that game that the game they were featured in. Small missed detail, he is able to close the Kar98k’s bolt when it is empty, which is incorrect as it is manufactured to hold the bolt open when the internal magazine is empty to let you know that you’ve run out. Very small missed detail but good video!

Also, the m16a4 is not capable of full auto fire, only 3 round burst IIRC And it has the grenade sight in front of the ACOG, not to the side attached to the grenade launcher.
Most of these guns are at such low quality, even HL2 guns from 2004 look better. One thing I would give the devs is the scope is correctly dual-rendered, instead of just zooming the whole screen (like countless FPS games do), good job on that.

On the double barrel the word is "ejectors." extractors just pop the shells up for you to take them out. ejectors punt them out.
