I love the way Devyn’s build is progressing! I complain about the lack of space in my 2-door JK all the time, but there’s just something special about the way a 2-door looks & performs on the trail! Can’t wait for future updates!

The two best functional upgrades on my JL have been a swayloc swaybar disconnect/upgrade… and at the other end of the price scale… a matte black vinyl hood decal. The first tightened up my suspension on the street while making disconnecting easier than my old manual disconnects… the second made road trips far easier to do as the eye strain from the hood reflections were greatly reduced.

For the faded plastic of my Jeep, I have followed a Forum recommendation of Chemical Guys Back to Black and I am glad I have. One trick is not to use too much of it and expect instant results, as it WILL act over night too and by the next day. I have been using it for over 2 years and very happy with it. It is lasting unless it rains, which will eventually wash it off.

Good looking JK. I am all for keeping things practical. I personally love those bumpers (I have them on my 2014 JKUR) and like the way the winch sits low and recessed, like it belongs there. Personally Imay have gone to 35s or 315/70 tires, but I doubt it would have made much of a difference off road. A locker would be high on my list as the next mod, imho lockers are the single most beneficial thing you can do to increase a vehicle's capability. Keep the cool content coming!

Nice to see you got a Gladiator back on the trail, I have one myself, just a suggestion, Baxter Engineering makes a oil filter adapter for the 3.6 pentastar engine, installed on mine, don't hear the valve train rattle when i start it up after it sits a while, keeps oil at the top of the engine to lubricate the cam and valve train, I am very pleased with it, will be installing a Dorman oil cooler to replace the plastic one on my Gladiator, just a thought you may want to consider this upgrades to the engine

Devyn, your jeep is really looking great. It is so funny as it's a very similar build I am doing on my 2013 2-door. I know a lot of people love the 35"s and I admit I do too, but on the 2-door with the 2.5" lift, I think the 33" look great as well. Took a similar approach to the bumpers. Went AEV for the front instead as I found one in great shape near me with the winch plate but I also did the Hard Rock rear bumper as well.
I have to ask one question, I too have the Mopar/Terraflex rear hinge and spare tire carrier. I used the bottom holes for the studs as indicated by the instructions and think the tire sits a little too low. I see yours is higher. Did you use the top hole? looks like it. Been thinking of moving mine.
I was considering the AEV tire carrier that works with the bumper but I am concerned that since it also bolts to the tailgate there is going to be some noise. Others I have talked to that have it have stated it does squeak.
Anyway, looks great!!! Looking forward to see what else you do so I can also get ideas. BTW, i need to go over to the website and pickup that rear tailgate table, I like the look of them the most.

I’m thoroughly enjoying my “new” 2019 Rubicon with about 25K miles on it, but would like to improve its on road “tracking”. So far a fresh set of KO2 All Terrains and the Fox 2.0 shocks, and Falcon steering stabilizer have helped. Do you feel that the Falcon tie rods, track bar, etc. have improved your on road stability? I’m keeping ride height stock, and not planning a lift. Thanks for the very professional quality, inspiration, and fun of your channel.

Brad, Im thinking about buying a 2024 or 2025 (hopefully comes out soon) JLU Rubicon! I wonder if you recommend the 2.0L or the 3.6L v6. I leaning more towards the 3.6 one, but I would love to know what you think. You are the most reputable person I know when it comes down to jeeps.

That’s awesome. We have a JKU and as a daily driver/ family vehicle I’m looking at a practical build much like Devyn. What size 33s is he running? 285, 295 or just 33x12.5 thanks in advance ✌️😎

Also, in the video, the hillside where you see all of the rubble at the bottom and the walls above look like they fell down, probably where the mine was. Most likely the entrance(s) were blasted closed to keep people out for safety.

@@TrailRecon Since you guys are running KC, look at the Gravity Pro's. Amazing lights and fully DOT legal if aimed correctly. Brad, I think you already run these on your JK so you already know. Lighting, like lift kits, is one place I do not skimp out on. Too important.

Change the hood latches over to the JL style. Looks way better but the hood not bowing and flexing while driving down the road is so nice!

This!!! Plus due to being a metal hoop, tey never will stretch out or risk of breaking. Super easy to do and you really do not need to drill out the holes if you just take a little time to work the studs in.

Light bars mounted on the A-pillars/roof line have a tendency to whistle at certain speeds.

Is it me or the lift seems a bit low for a Jk? The back looks like it rubbed in a few spots, but in general the JK has lower fenders and typically needs a bit more on the lift to clear 35s, more particularly on flex situations.

    • @jeffdurling100
      @jeffdurling100 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

I agree it looked a bit low. I have the Mopar 2" which is like every 2.5" lift on a 2-door and should net near 3" on actual lift. I have a little more wheel gap and run the same size wheels and tires.
