Love the sound of this rig, sounds like a semi truck! Never been a big Land Rover fan but between this and your disco I’m digging them.
It's tempting to toss in a more powerful engine but this old idi with the right turbo sounds soooooo good! It definitely adds to the experience of using it.
I've been driving 4cyl diesels since 1986. Toyota 3b and since 2001, the 13BT. The sound track of my life.
@@DirtLifestylea om605 would be a great swap choice!
@@DirtLifestyleSmall block chevy with a carb
Absolutely pumped on this rig. I think a really small aluminum bed rack to hold your camping gear would be sick. Can’t wait to see more snow wheeling adventures!!
DUDE!!! I cannot wait to see that beast on the snow covered trails!!!!!!
2:38 Turn those bolts around! Thats terrifying! Having steering lock up is a life changing event!
Look forward to all your videos. The more the better.
Thank you!
JW Speaker and Trucklite make heated LED headlights. Awesome build, just needs better headlights and rollover protection because these things have the structural integrity of a house of cards. Your sidemarker lights also need to be wired up. I love that engine sound.
So good to see you have someone to riff with, keep having fun
Drone footage in the snow was really cool to watch, even for a Guy that doesn’t know anything about filming. Good Job!
Ok now I want one plus your filming is top notch. Best part is the drone light showing the scene well
Swap out the amazon lights for a set of Hella H4 E-code 7" round lights with some Osram Night Breaker bulbs. You could use yellow bulbs for off-road. That is one crazy build!!
Heat cycle the tires before you sent it. Studs may not hang on, some tires require it.
12:03 friends never let friends do dumb shit… alone. 😂
This might be my new mantra 😆
@ it’s a good way to live, no matter what stupid situation you find yourself in at least you’ve got your equally stupid friend to help you get back out of it. Us dummies gotta stick together.
I have room for that as a tattoo
@ get it done, let’s see it 🤣
The little Rover is a "SNOW getter" Nice! !
It's not unusual to see the 'Series' Land Rovers sporting a vinyl "radiator blind" to help the engine get up to temp in cooler conditions.
Hey Nate, if you use a aftermarket p38 steering coupling shaft the lower half that connects to the box is a pentagon shaped rod that is easy to shorten to the correct length. makes for a factory look without the bolts hanging out of it. keep up the fantastic content.
A end of the week video upload!!! Yes! Love this little thing.
Watching Nate wheel and TH-cam thinks an advert for an electric car will appeal to me 🤣🤣
This thing is so cool !!! Such an awesome build. I’m so glad you went this way , I can’t wait to see it in deep snow ❄️
Thank you! Me neither! Snow testing begins tomorrow 😁
So mesmerising scenery it doesn't even look real especially with a Landrover pushing through the snow😅😍🍀🤘👌💯👍
My dad had defender 110 the sound bring a lot of memories. Great video driving me back to the memory line. These are are very rare here. In middle east we had landcruiser and defender. Defender for going out with all the family. Landcruiser for hunting camping and overlanding.
Man that half cab is 💰 money!!!
Love the snow wheeling content. I like the cab need one for my jeep. Good job.
Very Cool. I love the look of that rig, it's amazing!
Dude this thing has quickly become one of my favorite builds on all of TH-cam land. Absolutely awesome! 👊🏻
Your Samurai is badass but i absolutely love this more. Super stoked that your built this .
I'm a huge diesel guy, and this thing sounds amazing. If you're ever in my neck of the mountains, shoot me a message so I can see this thing in the snow. It'd be cool to get this, the Rodeo, and the Delica out on a snow wheeling trip.🤘
Nate..your videos don't stop getting better. I am continually impressed by your improvements EVERY. SINGLE. VIDEO. Bravo man. You're awesome.
The Landy looks sooooo good!!
I live in Enumclaw. We got nailed with the wind. Hope your property didn’t take to much damage. That rig is awesome. Maybe We’ll cross path s up around Rainer sometime. Really appreciate the videos.
Do you guys get snow like that up that way? I’m down at JBLM and I would love to see snow like that.
Run the badass studs! Put down a piece of plywood where the tires go on the back part of the trailer that's metal! THOSE ARE SO COOL!!!!! Literally it will be unstoppable!
Love the land rover content. Would be sweet to see the disco soon too
This little rig is really cool, awesome work!
Snow wheeling season is my favorite!!! What a blast!
Curse you Nate! I'm thinking that I need an old Land Rover now! This might be my favorite build yet. Thanks
It just looks so so cool, you did a great job. I was so amped for this build when you got it. It’s cool to see a classic rig like that with a more modern chassis.
Such a cool rig! I dig the studs! Looking forward to see how it murders the snow with those tires!!
Snow wheeling tomorrow 💪 I feel like a kid on Christmas eve...
That River is soooo cool! Great build. Unfortunately there’s no snow on the So. Texas coast.
In the trucking world we called that tool for seating tires a Cheetah
Nate, as a longtime owner of a tire shop, turn your tire wheel assembly over and use your bead seater from the back side of the wheel, it works much easier. Keep up the good work!
Soo much fun!
Looking forward to seeing what those Arctic tires do in our snow up here! Nice portal teaser at the end!
Man, haven't even watched in the snow in the video, and man that thing looks freakin amazing, especially with the cab. Well done Nate
Building my old rover right now too! This just keeps getting better and better.
I remeber seeing you get the disco 2 and wondered when the next rover would arrive. You’ll never meet a rover owner who only has one…..
Might be worth the investment to get some JW speaker heated led headlights. Can’t wait to start seeing more snow wheeling videos!
This build has got me really excited...🤘😀
This is the best rig I’ve seen built on TH-cam ❤
Love that little cab cap that makes it into a pickup. Just looks fun
Pushing snow with the differential is good, but pushing snow with your grill is a whole other level.
Cool old rig certainly capable, looks like it's guna be a lot of fun, thanks for sharing, all the best
insulation is your friend, also look into an alternate heat source
This Land Rover gives me tingles in all the right places. Well done guys... That thing is freaking awesome.
I had trouble at the shop mounting a set of tires. We ended up cutting lengths of wood to wedge between the beads and then put a hair dryer in them to warm them up. Made a huge difference.
The LED headlight not melting snow is not just a cheap thing. I put KC LED protectors in my Jeep. I should craft a snow melt squirter out of a washer pump and reservoir for the headlights.
Trucklite and JW Speaker have heated-lens LED headlights that work well.
What a video!
Thank you for sharing this!
I love the shakedown runs and this Landrover build is next level.
Great work! As always I am looking forward to the next one!
Bro. Gonna start calling you Midas. Everything you touch turns to gold. Absolutely love this rig!
Really the funnest build and coolest looking Landy ever. Thanks for sharing
Those bead blasters work pretty good. You gotta work that valve quick so it'll force the air in the tire faster. They also make a pistol grip style that has an air actuated valve that works great, you just have to wait for your rich uncle to get out of the poor house for those
Such a cool build and rig. As a j10 owner I was bummed to see progress pause on that build but this one was so worth it !
Love the huge tires and the sound is fantastic.
SOooooooo cool! I love it more, every time I see it. Happy trails this weekend!
I love everything about this... great job Nate!
Such a cool truck! Imagine this on snow tracks!
This is a cool build. What a tank of a vehicle!
It's such a fun little tank! When I'm not using it I'm day dreaming about using it 😆
Awesome build Nate! But if you are going to use that rig on the snow you should use some Paint like a raptor or same kind to protect the frame and the cab from rusting, because the frame of the Doors, cab, tail gate are steel and they Will rust hard and it Will be expensive to replace all that! I already had to sell my defender 90 TDI because of that and a live on Portugal and there already are away to expensive to replace parts!
I absolutely love this rig!!! Can’t wait to see it in action!
Absolutely LOVED the content this week!!! Love the Rover build!!
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 love the truck cab. Needs some more auxiliary lights ..
This is awesome I can't wait to see the Artic.. I mean Arctic Land Rover in action on big boi tires
Awesome build. Im mot a series fan, but this one looks fantastic. Cant wait for more snow videos as where im from we're lucky to get it over a foot deep every 10 years or so
Dude!!! Snow play and summer coffee show!!! duel purpose!!!✌️l
You did a good job on this build. I love it. I live in Colorado and we get this kind of snow all the time in winter. Love the snow.
Awesome build as usual ! ! Reminds me of our stock early Bronco , low geared , go anywhere !
That Rover is adorable... but in a Manly way.😊
That opening clip was so cool.
this is the coolest build you've done never mind
Oui bruv, you got a loucense fer dat snow wheelin?!
Awesome rig, can't wait to see how far you take this old land rover.
That thing is just awesome. Can't wait to see it go with the Arctic tires.
For what it's worth though. Toyota World Runners channel already have a truck called Yeti for years now.
You're a good friend Nick.
Can't wait to see the next video, this is my favorite build you have done, great rig!!!!
I was skeptical, but I'm loving it.
What an awesome little buggy.
You should put your spare on a roofrack so you dont lose rear visibility. You could also put a winch on your trailer so you can run studded tires and not worry about ramps or digging up your boards. ;)
I’m a big Land Rover fan anyway but wow this thing is cool! I want to build my own now!
Oh, and that turbo noise!
Man that thing is so cool! Need some more lighting for sure to keep playing after dark
16:42 that's exactly how I had to get my first set of 35s on my rig 😅
It's extra work, but pretty fun if I'm being honest 😁
Nick my life inspiration. Everyone deserves a Nick
I went snow wheeling in the middle of watching this video! NIce inspiration.. ( I sunk in the snow )
Wish I could afford the gas to go play in the snow more often. ☹️
Gotta start a side hustle brother. I was raised in a very poor community in Oklahoma. Food stamps, goodwill cloths, and no extra money, I'm sure you get it. I didn't go to college because I couldn't afford to pay for it. My senior year of high school, I worked at GNC and Bestbuy part time. Combined 55hrs a week plus school and I thats when I started my first side hustle. Almost embarising to admit but I was building custom speaker boxes lol. After graduation I got a job at a chevy dealer and as I learned the automotive trade I started booking sidejobs right away. By the time I was 20 I started plumbing and was doing side work as a plumber, a Mechanic and still doing wood work here and there. Now at almost 40 years old I can edit video, fabricate, be a Mechanic, I'm a journeyman plumber and if someone needed a custom speaker box... I'm your guy 😁.
The point is I needed money and my parents had none. So I started accumulating skills the second I was let out of the house! I'm being 100% serious when I say I started working because I needed gas money lol. I could tell you in the comment section of a TH-cam that I feel bad that you need money to hit the trail (and I do) but that sympathy won't help you. But I hope that telling you my story will! Be hungry, be angery if you need to, just be undeniable at every job you do. You got this! The American dream is hard but it's still alive and well. And if I can pull myself out of poverty with hard work anyone can 💪. Get that side hustle rolling so you can hit the trails.
Amen Brother, well said.
@@DirtLifestyle wow, heartfelt brother. Thats an impressive hand up to all who struggle and think they are alone. Way to let them know there really is hope for the determined.
@@DirtLifestyleyep, l know what you’re saying, worked hard for 38 years as a mechanic and still doing it for a living.
Dude this. Thing is awesome. I gotta get up to the snow with the jeep
Just found this channel about a week ago and i am loving it hope you never stop what your doing love the builds love the vids keep it up.
If any gear grinds while you’re trying to select it. Something is really wrong and the gearbox isn’t going to last long
that LR is ridiculously cool.
Needs limb risers brother!
Speaking of portals… this would be killer on a set!
Loving this build!
MudUK do a nice cubby box raiser that lets you fit a Chinese diesel heater under the cubby box which would be awesome in a snow truck!
Would love to see you push the axles apart an inch or two on the links to get back to 88"
Also would love to see a front winch installed between the bumper and slam panel below the vanity panel, my mate did it to his at college and reinforced the back of the standard bumper for the fairlead, looked neat and subtle 👌🏻
NIce "Running Man" studs in the tires 😀
Can't wait to see the other tire review video.
Great build my favorite
Turning out so awesome! Well done!
I love this rig Nate!
Great stuff!👍
Rig did really well! Hey about those picky tires that are hard to seat... saw an old fella used some bead seating compound like greece and packed it amoungst the bead and rim to seal while filling up, he didnt use a blaster cannon though.
