I’m new to hunting, I got Sitka set up because my first hunt I went spectating, they wore that. They were fairly new hunters…. Went to spectate and learn from someone who had been hunting for 30 years…. I was decked out in my Sitka gear…. He walked up the trail in basketball shorts and a navy blue t shirt. I realized at that moment, it doesn’t matter what you wear, you just gotta beat their smell… but I love meat eater show and books, and have learned a lot from it, I’d buy just to show my support and gratitude.
To each their own. I have a mix of things, but the FL fits my smaller, more athletic frame a bit better. BL they are both pretty quality kit, just depends on what your preference is.
You needed to define the products more indepth. Just my opinion. Like fit for one and wind barrier results which is huge for stand hunting whitetails. Thx for taking time.

I've been looking at all 3: Sitka, First Lite and Kuiu but my strong sense says Sitka primarily for the GoreTex. I've gotten burned on too many imitations and just have too much faith in Gore so I'm leaning toward Sitka. Nice review however.
Anyone have any idea when this new First Lite whitetail gear might release? I was wanting to make a large purchase but don’t want to right before a new release.
I've used a little of both and settled on First Lite also. They both make incredible gear, each with different strengths and weaknesses. First Lite gear seems to be a lot more versatile. Their camouflage patterns are both more generalized and great for almost any situation, and the layering systems are super transferable from western hunting to whitetail hunting, etc.(I wear the same base layers and mid layers hunting elk in colorado as I do hunting whitetails or spring turkeys in PA) I also love that all of their gear is offered in each pattern they make. Sitka seems to be a lot more specialized which is great, but you have to expect to buy multiple systems in multiple patterns to fit multiple situations. Their whitetail specific gear is only available in a light gray pattern that I wouldn't personally want to use in the west or even in the spring while turkey hunting because it's very specifically designed for use in a tree. That presents some obvious advantages in that one specific situation, but presents challenges for those of us who can't afford multiple systems for everything we do. Really, I think Sitka and First Lite come at it with completely different approaches, everyone just has to decide if they value specialization or versatility in their system.

I thought this was going to be a true comparison with a title like this.. .. seamed like a ad or push to use first lite ... some equal amount if users of both and why they like one or the other is what I was expecting.
Spencer has been a First Lite user for the past few years now having him used both products we wanted him to strictly voice his opinion on which he felt was better. The rest of us have only used Sitka so we felt it would have been bias for us to compare saying Sitka was better when we haven’t used both products like Spencer has.

Your explanation make sense now .. wasnt looking for a which is better but more for various detail explanation of why the choice over the other.. keep up the great content! 👍🏼

Any bro on TH-cam is going to say Firstlite is better because literally every TH-camr is gifted first lite by them. All hunters know Sitka is leaps and bounds more durable and quieter.
@@bpointtv recently switched from under armour and kuiu and don't regret it at ALL 😂 was thinking about First Lite but I liked the kuiu pattern a little better and the prices were nearly the same.

Firstlite for early sitka for late. Camo wise too. When leaves are up specter camo and when leaves are down cold gray skies in whitetail woods ev2.

FirstLite base layers > Sitka Base layers
Sitka outers >>>>> First Lite outers

I remember 3 year's ago NO ONE WAS WEARING FIRST LITE. EVERYONE WAS MAKING THEIR LOOK AT MY SITKA COLLECTION VIDEOS.
Based on what my Dad wore the camp doesn’t even matter…it’s the noise. I’ll take whichever one is warm and quiet👍
