Just wanted to make a quick comment to say that yes i realize i forgot a few reskins like the capper and the quakenbirdt. Sorry if you were expecting to see them in this video they just kinda slipped my mind. Stealing video ideas in tf2 have always been a strange case to me. On one hand if you like how a video works but hate how the stupid orange hat guy looks it's nice to have another option to choose from. But on the other hand, this video is pretty good 9 short cello loops out of 10.
You forgot one of the the big kill’s stereotype Comically Large Revolver th-cam.com/video/R-snlySu4Z8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8tp2cwXkK9uxOLNR Also Necro Smasher Hog Rider Demo
Excuse me, it appears to be 1967 right now. Are you all time travelers? Is this some sort of prank? Shame on you all and go make me another cup of coffee.
Dude the effort that went into making this look EXACTLY like the Soundsmith stereotypes videos is commendable, I did a double take when I saw it. The jokes hit the same as they did in the OG series and the pacing is *perfect*. Good stuff, man.
15:50 It should be noted that the Necro Smasher is the most accessible reskin on Engineer available if you want a proper Wrench Reskin. Weirdly enough, it's the only Reskin in the game that is available on all classes, except Spy.
Yup, the Crossing Guard was dead-on for me. Always hated how the Pain Train was just a railroad spike on a board and had so little to do with trains besides that. I like trains. I set out to get a strange Crossing Guard and immediately named it "The Pain Train" with the description "All aboard the pain train! Next stop, your faceville!" It's my go-to stock melee reskin on most loadouts that I have a stock melee on. Prinny Machete is somewhat true for me, renamed it M9 Bayonet. I also have a collector's professional killstreak Nessie's because I always thought it was cool. "Tiger Woods' Bludgeoning Stick" she's called, with the description of "Fore!" I love it.
Australiums: An australiuim user is generally going to fall into one of two categories. The first are some of the most lethal players you'll ever run into in the game. These guys will always be using the primary stock reskins, unless they're playing Heavy in which case it's a toss up between the stock and the tomislav. Regardless, you can pick these players out by the fact that the aussie that they're using has about 10k kills on it and is customized to the nth degree. Custom name, pro ks kit, strange parts, festivized, if there's something they could do to this weapon they have done so. Essentially, this person plays so much TF2 that dropping 3 figures on the primary weapon in their loadout didn't seem entirely insane. Just hope this guy is on your side, because god help you if he's on the other team. The second, far less threatening group, are either high-tier traders or MvM sweats. They got their aussie either as part of a trade or through an MvM drop, and figure they may as well use the extra-shiny weapon. They hope people will assume they're part of the first group, and they'll usually be at least competent at the game, but since most of their experience involves either mindless robots or trade server deathmatches it will be apparently pretty quickly they're not the gods that they want the peasants to think they are.
I'm surprised people cheated in the black rose considering how easy it was to get it, it was literally just play the game once and you would get the achievement, I personally got it legit. I actually still use it today because its a pretty reskin and I like the trusty stock knife the most as its just simply a good reliable knife with no downsides (though also no upsides, but oh well, its the knife)
I do love it when the algorithm drops a random with next to no subs into my recommended, props for putting in the extra care and attention to an effective point even up to the meta level, well played. Your other content is pretty solid too, I hope the site realizes this and pushes you to more people, ideally at a pace you find reasonable :v
Ay dude I'm a big fan and I love ur content. I just wanna say that a small youtuber is copying this cool idea. Just a heads up. I think he is called soundsmith
Lugermorph Engies are probably more likely to be cowboys. It’s a Luger, it sorta fits the cowboy aesthetic. I wouldn’t be surprised if more than a few Ap-Sap Spies miss the Wheatley voice spam. Really sad how that one got patched out. I think Nessie’s players just really want a strange one. Sure there’s the Eyelander, but the Nessie’s has a sort of flair to it. I also believe Prinny Machetes are frequently used by Spy cosplay loadouts, Heavy coming to mind the most. Also, just a fun note, Strange Shooting Stars have frequently been cheaper than Strange Machinas, likely due to the wider release of the Invasion crates. Which is a nice change of pace compared to the ludicrous prices of Strange Huntsman, Gunslinger, and Kritzkrieg. The Quackenbirdt falls into three categories: 1) A different looking stock watch to spice up the loadout 2) Duck fans, likely sporting the Duck Billed Hatypus and a Duck Journal. Don’t be surprised if you hear a quack before getting killed by one 3) The elusive Hitman fan. I personally haven’t seen one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if fans of the series run the promotional item tied to it. For Capper players, it’s basically the same tryhard stereotype as Lugermorph Scouts, but it applies across both classes. And, for my favorite reskin, the Crossing Guard, while available in Strange quality, has no dedicated Killstreak Kit. Never has. Any Killstreak Crossing Guards you see are Specialized or Professional, and were obtained by using a glitched universal kit. It’s stupid annoying.
There's one other important detail about the Quackenbirdt - the way the viewmodel cloak meter works. Unlike the stock invis watch, instead of its viewmodel cloak meter showing duration as a horizontal bar, it shows it as a circle with a radial fill - which can make it easier to tell how much of your cloak you have remaining. But, you might be asking about the Enthusiast's Timepiece - that Pac Man-shaped indicator on it must serve the same purpose, right? Unfortunately, it doesn't. It suffers from the same problem as the view model cloak meter on the (pre-rework) Dead Ringer - instead of draining at a linear rate, it drains at a wacky rate - which makes it nigh impossible to tell at a glance how much cloak you actually have left. And this detail is why, even though I do own the timepiece, I'm in Quackenbirdt gang. If the Timepiece didn't suffer from the wacky cloak meter drain rate, I'd actually use it.
for the awper hand, i just use it because the awp sound is amazing. i could listen to it for a whole day and still not get tired of it, while the stock sniper rifle's sound is oddly annoying for me (dont know why)
Another stereotype for the Apoco Fists could be that the person is a fan of the Saints Row games. Since it was a promo item for Saints Row The Third. Plus you could unlock it in SRTT and gibs anyone you kill with it like it's ability in TF2
Bootlegger is arguably one the only reskin that gets more usage than their original counterpart. Since it's easy to get and is more visually appealing, almost every demoknight around will have them
stereotype for the self-aware beauty mark/mutated milk: players who use these think they have an edge because of the very slight increase in throwing distance thanks to source jank
I do fall into the Maul stereotype but it comes with job of being pybro only when our engineer is suffering trying to defend, usually thanks to the 5 enemy spies. If my engie is doing fine on his own even when being pressured I'm usually off doing something else.
When you first said only bad pybros use the Maul I was worried you were gonna say by going off and abandoning the engie, good to see some people understand how pyros actually help engies Great video in general, both in continuing the stereotypes and in execution
The bootlegger is primarily uaed hy people who use the Tide Turner, and not in the goos way either. They think they tend to rock pirate looking cosmetics and try to replicate solar light level clips, but the best they can manage is just that one trimp in degroot keep
13:29 I think there can also be two other classifications of objector users; wild cards and plain Janes. The wild cards will just have something completely random on there like a picture of a hotdog, or a something related to an inside joke in there friend group. Ether way you just look at it and think “… what?”. The plain Jane is just an objector without anything on it, ether because the person using it thinks that walking around with a blank one is funnier or they just got it and are new.
I don't know if this is all that wide-spread, but the majority of Bread Bite users I see tend to be Hoovies who use it as a goofy-looking alternative to the Holiday Punch. Not sure if anyone but me has ever experienced this, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway.
If I had to take a guess as to why the necrosmasher is the only unlock you some people have, there's a good chance they started playing during and because of the Halloween event, so that could be one of the first unlocks they got.
I use the Bootlegger with the Zombie cosmetic, since that gives Demo 2 feet instead of a wooden leg. I don’t know if that’s a stereotype, but hey, it’s something.
People who wears the Bootlegger because of how it doesn't stand out. Maybe they want to look cool. Or maybe they want it to be a pirate. But really, you only use it over Ali Baba's Wee Booties because it will look rather ridiculously with the cosmetics you choose with the Baba's Wee Booties... Unless you want to be a christmas elf.
5:24 as a nine ironer, I do have an eyelander and the hhhheadtaker, but you can’t say to me that you don’t like the slim design of the nine iron, and the fact it’s a focken golf club witch is one of the most outrageous objects to be used as a weapon
I am a proud owner of a black rose. What's more, I remember getting it the legit way. I didn't use a community server. I downloaded the required game years ago and got the achievement needed before the game servers got shut down. Funny considering I don't even main spy.
