The F-35 is so great it transforms into an submarine also, diving straight of an ship into the water and they like to transform into missiles aswell going nose first into the ground like at Whiteman!

In 4 years, the F-35 has crashed 11 times
In 18 years, the F-22 has crashed 82 times
The amount of engineering that went into this is unbelievable
Just look how steady it is
It's the fly by wire controls, the computer takes thousands of sensor reading a second and automatically actuates the appropriate control device (elevator,rudder, rcs thruster, engine nozzle, lift fan nozzle) to keep the aircraft in the last commanded position. The old harrier the pilot was the only flight control computer, and because human nervous system lag the me the vertical flight was quite Shakey.
The most impressive engineering was creating a supersonic jet aircraft that can land vertically and not dig post he les in the concrete. It stymied the British, that's why they never built a supersonic v/stop aircraft.
@@kdrapertrucker reminds me of the X-29 research plane; without the computers, it couldn’t be flown by the pilot. As a matter of fact, the F-16 uses fly-by-wire. It was designed with relaxed-static stability. Without the computers, pilots can’t fly it

This may become a problem if supply chain is broken or a fault is found on electronics. Anyway everyone have more than one kind of a bird for a reason. And in any case this is useless for humanity, only of use because we are ruled by sick Yada Yada yada

I was the only certified transporter of the F-35 lift fan out of Indianapolis, IN. Rolls Royce England was buddies of a company in Jacksonville, FL, so they forced Indianapolis to stop using me and use them. The mgr of Indy tried to get Ipls to keep me, but England told them they had to stop using me and use their pals, even though they wrecked trucks carrying $1,200 million engines and $28,000 lift fans. I even helped with wiring on the lift fans. I had to tell them what air suspension was, too.

Out of all the F-35B videos on the internet, not a single one shows it actually transitioning into "airplane mode" after taking off. Not a single one. I've searched far and wide. I'm convinced it's not capable of doing this mid air.

@@Truthbomb918 Touche'. I had a chance to work around them when I was an Active Duty Marine attached to an AV8-B Harrier support squadron. They still fly them at the Marine base I was stationed at - MCAS Cherry Point, NC. I went by the base on my way back from a coastal deep-sea fishing trip. My Mum and I stopped by on our way back (she'd never been deep-sea fishing and we went to knock off part of her bucket list, LOL).
Yeah now lets bomb some innocent children, and make dollars too.!

Sincerely Bravo! This plane is full of hundreds of defects not yet solved, costs much more for all its buyers than expected, its performances are much lower than the promises of its manufacturer! Landing and takeoff spend a lot of fuel and put a strain on its autonomy. Even the American army recognises this.
In short, a beautiful fiasco compared to other much cheaper planes. You have to be American to dare to sell such a thing, and most of the contracts they have won are tainted by corruption.

The VTOL is a very niche requirement. One that the Harrier for filled for decades. Far more impressive are the electronics capabilities of the F-35.

I build F-35s as a career. The B model does not normally do vertical takeoffs since this compromises the ground surface underneath, risking damage and blowing FOD into the plane & engine inlets. As can be seen in the video, a short takeoff run is nearly always performed for the F-35B. It can land vertically, however, which requires less thrust. This is an edit of an earlier comment where I said the B model cannot takeoff vertically. After seeing comments here, watching VTOL video, and speaking with the engineer who told me this long ago, I have modified this comment. I also was told the current operational procedures do not allow for vertical takeoffs unless a specified surface exists underneath the jet. So, I was wrong.
Wrong. It can take offf vertically if it wanted to, just with a little less everything. Do more research , I've watched videos of USMC's F35bs taking off vertically.
Don't forget the British bad lightning also.

As much as I’m not a huge fan of the f35. It will be a great plane for replacing the harrier and the f16. It was never designed to be a f22 or even the f15. But it will be a great plane for replacing the f16 and harrier to give us a extra 3-4 carriers from marines. It’s all about the planes working towards a common goal. And just the fact that using the f35 on marine ships adds mini carriers to our military is amazing. 10 of these on a marine ship would be a game changer since it can bring the power of a stealth fighter to anywhere in the world and add to that some tomahawks and you have a true Gael changer for anywhere in the world that the marine ship is. God bless our military the strongest in the world

Excelente diseño del f35,aunque se vería más imponente que la compuerta de la turbina del medio que sirve para el despegue vertical,se habrá hacia un lado y no hacia arriba,así no queda de contraviento mientras esta abierta y el avión es impulsado hacia delante..
Eso se diseñó para poder desprenderla de urgencia si el sistema hidráulico fallara. Todo tiene una razón, el hecho de que no la conozcamos no significa que no exista. Además al despegar en esa posición favorece el empuje vertical que la resistencia aerodinámica en esa posición le proporciona a la aeronave.
Instead of everybody walking behind that unmanned vehicle a couple of them could sit in the seats and ride and one of them could even drive it since it has controls just like a manned vehicle.
