DIY 3 string electric bass

  • This is my first diy slide guitar recently turned into a fretless bass! I used the lowest 3 strings of a regular bass guitar string set. Flatwound strings might give an even warmer and more mellow vintage sound.
Sorry there's really no footage of the build, because I built the guitar so long ago, but I thought this might still be interesting or helpful stuff for some!
    Thanks bye! ❤️

Great video dude! That was a pretty solid jam at the end. I always like when you end your videos that way!

Cool, to make this into a 4 string, you'll need a new neck.

Great sound! I was thinking for some time about making my own diy bass drum. Now I know I will make it out of an old scrap oil barrel. Thanks!

This is nuts. I just finished making a fret-less three string electric bass! I need to practice to be as good as you at playing. You rock my finnish brother!

I know flatwound strings are expensive but they’d sound great on this bass

At some point i was thinking of building some diy stands, but decided to use regular stands for now! I dont have a lot of tools for working with metal and i feel like my stands would be too shitty hahah. But i’ll keep this in mind and maybe i’ll build some stands at some point!

Thanks! The lenght from bridge to nut is about 67cm / 26,4 inches. And from end to end the whole guitar is about 90cm / 35,4 inches

Awesome, have fun building it! Centimeters are the only correct unit of length and we all know it somewhere deep inside
