"It's all about the bass... 'bout the bass." 😂 I told a famous actor friend of mine (who plays the bass) about your build. I'm sure he'll appreciate your talents just as I do. Beautiful build!!!
Holy shi#, that thing is bad @$$. Del, you scored a home run with this one. Always fun. Keep it up Del, you one up all the time. We all appreciate you.👍
A timely video Del. I have a big box that a friend wants me to use. It's too big for a "normal" guitar scale length: can't get enough downward pressure on the bridge. I decided a short scale bass at 30 inches would maybe work. You've given me a sonic target. Thanks!
Hi Del, thank you very much for showing your build and playing it for us. I have a question regarding playing chords on a CBG. I recently purchased my first CBG from a local guy I met at the county fair. He had a booth set up, and several cool looking and sounding CBGs. I have seen several people on TH-cam play their CBG similarly to a regular electric guitar, using all three strings to play chords, having their fingers on each string, one at a time, and the chords sound great, just like you played here. My question is this, is it that much harder to play chords on a CNG compared to a regular electric guitar? Because the "high" string (thinner string) is very difficult to play on the one I bought when playing chords. I can pick the string individually, and when using a slide, but to play a chord using two or three strings is very difficult. Thanks again, Marc
You could use a big box like that to make a lap dulcimer as well!
Heyyy, you have inspired me to build my own cigar box guitar but I didn’t have any boxes so I’m making my own. Love the videos🙂
awesome!!!! 🤩
😂Puckett you Besides God, you make my Day!!!😊

This just in..."Size matters"! Great growly sound too! 🎉

Those springs sound great! Keep you top screwed on.
I had a dog named Mojo. She was a black pug. Loved that dog.

I did a 30 in. once. I used a scorpion box with a p90 and Single Coil.
Amazing! You're a ruge inspiration. We have 9 dogs like Mojo living with us.
Been considering making a bass to match my guitar and wow! Cigar box basses really do sound as nice as cigar box guitars
heheheee you’re right !! 😎👍🏽
BFB! Big Fish Bass! (Base. Not bass.) 😂
That thing sounds great! Love it. Love your videos. 👍

That's totally awesome, but a bit big for you Del, lol , Keep on Rockin man.
Great build!👍
Hej Del, if the bass had not been so awesome, the cutie dog would have stolen the entire show! ;) Great job as usual and fat sound!! 👌
Hey, Del! Dig the channel, and thanks for your work. These look like regular guitar string diameters, so are you using guitar machine heads? Thanks!
shoulda sprang for a Fishman pickup! Awesome build, great video 👍👍
heheheee… and maybe some pink tunas ??

I missed this build... what's the thickest string that fits normal tuners? Did your friends bass build with the 100 string need "bass" tuners?
yes we used traditional bass tuners 🥸
Sounds good on C is the neck still 1.5 inches or is it alittle wider?
1.5… same as it ever was 🥸
Just looks a little bigger with that large box
BFB FOR SURE.
BFB ?? could go either way… 😜
The bass version of your shirt. 4 strings are 3 strings too many. 😂
My dog can hear your dog it’s funny
that’s awesome
How long and wide,,loox, like a good start violin,, salmon violin,,lol, deep see fiddle, lol
