Can you suggest a quality ACV capsule? I am prone to ulcers in my mouth/lips. So capsules are a better option for me. I'm concerned about the acidity in the liquid causing issues. Thank you❤❤
You are just getting better and better with these videos. Ever since YT took Dr. Morse's videos away, there have been SO few ppl telling us the truth on here!! I really appreciate you Shea!! xo
One thing to note: Do not brush your teeth for at least a 1/2 hr after drinking ACV. As others have mentioned, rinse your mouth instead. If you brush immediately after drinking ACV, you’re basically scrubbing the vinegar into your teeth and weakening your enamel. Another good thing to do is chew sugarless gum afterward. That increases the saliva in your mouth which will prevent the ACV from affecting your teeth.
If people find ACV too strong to drink, or don’t like the flavor, here’s what I do. Fill my 24 oz tumbler with water and ice. Add 1 tablespoon of ACV and then add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt and stir. I’m telling you, the small amount of Himalayan salt is not only good for you, but it makes the ACV water taste better. I swear! 😂
Didn’t it just come out a few years ago Pink Himalayan Salt was not healthy? It seems as soon as something is hailed for it’s healing properties studies come out years later showing it causes health issues

I had no idea Gates bought Braggs, much less changed the concentration. I have one full bottle left and won’t waste it, but I will never buy Braggs again. 😡
When I started taking 2 tablespoons of ACV every day and an extra tablespoon here and there in my salad I INSTANTLY noticed I was shedding less and less hair! I was so happy! Within one week, after the first shampoo, there was less hair in the shower drain as well as in my brush, and also on the floor of the bathroom after I blew my hair dry. it was amazing!

If it tastes bad can you use less water to just get it down or does it work best to use the amount of water with the amount of acv you mentioned in your video Shea?
@@meghanmarcello1887I take 1 tablespoon straight out the spoon. I know they say it’s not good for your teeth, but I down it, then rinse & brush my teeth. Yes, you can dilute it in less water too. It’s not diluted in salad.
Dr Jason Fung, the doctor that basically invented intermittent fasting, has an entire chapter in his book The Obesity Code about vinegar and fermented foods. SO good for you.
Fasting wasn't invented by anybody. It has been around as long as humans. like all animals have we have evolved to go without food for a long time. It was a regular thing in times of feast and famine. I fasted once a week when I was young. It is natural. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights. Which is possible and has outstanding benefits
Very interesting video. My husband suffers from severe gout flare-ups and has been taking Apple Cider Vinegar for about a year, his symptoms have drastically improved ✅ x
That's great! Same thing with a family member of mine. The gout trigger seemed to be ice cream, so it's easy to avoid that when you know what it is! :)
Exercise!! Resistance training, lift weights, do the main multi joint exercises, with enough resistance of course, a weight you can do 6-8 reps with but NOT 9, you have to find what that weight is of course. That solves most of what you just mentioned, it is not a pill or a easy drink, it does take REAL effort, and better eating habits where you do not eat crap or potato chips or cookies etc... eat food you can tell what it is on first sight, even SLIGHTLY processed food like butter you can tell what or where it comes from, not margarine though... milk eggs... ACV is a good ADDITION to good food. Don't overeat. And stop using victim vocabulary, like "suffers"...
I see a holistic doctor who said women are ultra stressed and with stress comes decreased stomach acid (meaning we're not fully absorbing the nutrients in our food) - to counteract this, adding a teaspoon of ACV in a glass of water 15 mins prior to meals boosts stomach acid production to increase nutrient absorption.
@@magadiendor a quick Google search I found from Dr Tonia Winchester, "A patient recently told me that her doctor, after prescribing a double dose of Nexium, said there is a connection between stress and stomach acid - and there definitely is one, but it’s actually not what you think, or what medical doctors believe and understand. They typically say that stress causes an increase in stomach acid leading to an erosion of the mucosal tissue causing ulcers in the stomach and upper part of the small intestine. This is absolutely physiologically incorrect. Here’s the low down on how stress affects stomach acid: Stomach acid GOES down with stress. Lets repeat. Stomach acid GOES DOWN WITH STRESS. Stress diverts blood away from the gut to feed the muscles and the brain so the body can run away or fight to survive the threat. Digestion is not an essential function when it comes down to acute survival. The body prioritizes the threat / stress by sending it’s blood flow and resources to the organs and tissues which help the body survive. In fact, the secretion of ALL the digestive enzymes and juices decreases with stress. Stomach acid (HCl) is one of the signals that closes the sphincter between the esophagus and the stomach. In medical gobbledee gook lingo we call this the lower esophageal sphincter (LES). When the LES is closed, digestion typically functions well, and we don’t see problems such as indigestion, acid reflux, or heart burn. Lets review: Stress leads to decreased blood flow to digestive system including the stomach… which leads too lower HCl… which impedes the signal to close the LES… so the stomach stays open… and what little acid is in the stomach comes up and irritates the esophagus causing heart burn, reflux and indigestion. That’s the real story about stress and stomach acid. Wait there’s more. With stress there is also less protective mucus production so the acid that IS in the stomach can injure the fragile lining of the gut, furthering the digestive distress and inflammation, causing ulcers, poor nutrient absorption, and ultimately weight gain"

Thank you Shea! I use the Fairchild brand, love it. As for straws giving you fine lines, you can move the straw from the middle of your lips, to the side of your lips, right or left side, doesn't matter. Or Amazon sells "anti wrinkle straws". The hole placement makes the difference. Also rinse your mouth out with a little water after drinking ACV, problem solved.
Shea, don’t apologize for being slim. Your gut micro biome and lifestyle are the reasons you have the body you have. I’ve heard you say in other videos that you don’t eat sugar and that’s huge. I bet you all don’t eat a lot of ultra processed foods too. UPF’s are one the reasons people are metabolically sick. People don’t want to do hard things. Carry on!❤
I've been doing this for a year and have noticed my stomach issues are so much better! Costco sells the North Coast brand that is organic, raw and contains the mother.
Another point for the ladies that I would like to recommend is that it really helps with period cramps. At least from my own personal experience and several other ladies I know.
For those commenting about AVC being harsh on teeth- she's using a STRAW which limits the length of time that liquids come in contact with teeth. My friend spent a fortune on her teeth but she drinks red wine often. Her teeth still look amazing because she drinks this and her iced coffee and tea using a straw- per her dentist. She also said that kinda from jump. Jeez people.
Red wine 🍷 through a straw, I don’t drink any kind of alcohol but was always under the impression that drinking alcohol through a straw wasn’t such a good thing, it increases how the person responds to alcohol as in getting drunk But as said, I don’t drink alcohol so I’m just repeating what I heard many years ago and I don’t mean those cocktails 🍹, I’m talking about hard core alcohol, correct me if I’m wrong, I was told this by people that I knew that drunk alcohol 🍺🍷🤔🤔..
Well, I learned the hard way about apple cider vinegar. For a short time I drank it hot and it did erode my two front teeth. I still drink it, cold now, through a straw.
I’m liking the direction of these videos, Shea. I live a holistically healthy lifestyle. Been drinking ACV for years and throughout the day. Thanks for the info about Braggs.
Bragg ACV is less than 2% lower in acidity and less than half the price... Use Bragg ACV with a little less water in your glass and your drink will be the same and save your money.
@@krissymc7085, the recipe is one tablespoon ACV to eight ounces of water. My glass is 8oz and I add a glug. I drink it first thing upon awakening (even before coffee) it's supposed to rehydrate you after not drinking anything all night and your tummy is totally empty. Note: this drink does break your intermittent fast. So start the clock to your eating window upon your first sip. (Whilst black coffee or plain tea from tea leaves won't break your fast. Herb tea breaks your fast. So you do you!) I don't drink it straight. It's supposed to burn your esophagus, (mine gets enough exposure to stomach acid) so I tend to go lighter than heavier on the ACV. But again you do you, I'm just sharing what I do. 💖🌞🌵😷
@@thebaddest5680 all I know that when I drink ACV and water I get hungry and if I drink plain water, plain coffee or tea, I can go another couple of hours before I need to eat. Thank you for this very detailed and informative video. I actually purchased my FAIRCHILD ACV at Costco because it was on sale, I ALMOST was going to throw it away because as you mentioned, and the "hype" with Bragg's, I thought I purchased a generic knock-off which made me assume I wasn't getting the best benefit from ACV.... I am so glad for this video. Thank you!
Thank you for a great educational video. I have been drinking 2 tablespoons of ACV around 5 am. for the last two years as part of my ketogenic lifestyle. As you said, I am full of energy every day. My fasting blood sugar is 72, and my A1C 4.8 and ACV helped me with my IBS and GERD. Thank you. Have a great day.
@Nice-do6sp Hi, I get up around 4 am. I wait until around 5 am. to mix 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother in a tall glass of water and drink it with a straw. After that, I drink my black coffee, no sugar, and mixed with a teaspoon of Anthony's Ceylon Cinnomon. Both ACV and Ceylon Cinnamon lower the blood sugar. I never check my glucose levels because I don't have T2D. But what everyone should check once every year is their fasting insulin levels. Your fasting insulin levels are a much better predictor of onset of T2D than A1C and fasting glucose levels. You can have a normal A1C level and a normal fasting glucose level, but if your fasting insulin level is high, it means you have insulin resistance and impending diabetes ( fasting insulin level can predict T2D 10 years in advance, so you can change your diet to prevent T2D)
@Vetriyas Hi, no. No diabetes or other medical problems. I started drinking ACV as a part of my ketogenic lifestyle and one-meal-a-day intermittent fasting. Also, a teaspoon of Ceylon Cinnomon in your black coffee, no sugar, will lower your blood sugar levels. I love Ceylon Cinnamon because it gives my coffee a very mild sweet taste without any sugar. Love the taste and flavor, too. To prevent T2D, everyone should get their fasting insulin checked once a year. Lower the fasting insulin levels and lower the risk of T2D. High fasting insulin levels mean you have insulin resistance and a very high risk for T2D. The best way to lower your fasting insulin level is by intermittent fasting, preferably one-meal-a-day intermittent fasting, 0 fast foods, 0 grains, 0 fried foods, 0 sugar/fructose, no vegetable seed oils and no processed carbohydrates, and to start a supervised ketogenic or a carnivore diet ..my very small amount of fructose comes from the avocado I consume daily. But avocado is high in fiber, so the fructose from the avocado does not make it to the liver.

Hi Shea, I couldn't agree more! I suffer from the occasional Acid Reflux reaction in the middle of the night and Thank God it wakes me up. Although when it happens I feel like the Loch Ness monster from the excruciating pain that happens in my lungs and chest, the only thing that will neutralize the reaction from burning and chocking me half to death is to down a shot glass straight up of ACV. I also agree with it having a helpful feature of weight loss control at least in my experience. Thank you for sharing your research, thoughts, and tips on this topic ❤🙏
Love that you are doing this series. So happy to see this valuable information getting out to more people. It's also very easy to make your own apple cider vinegar, especially if you grow apples organically yourself.
Very interesting video about Apple Cider Vinegar. However, drink it 15 minutes before a meal and not after the meal and never ever drink it before sleeping. You can also mix it in your meal, which I do when I eat my oatmeal breakfast. When drinking before sleeping, it can be difficult to start sleeping and it can burn. For the rest, the advice is very good. I make Apple Cider Vinegar myself, with the mother inside. So much better than what you buy in shops. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, you really makes a difference!
if you can't stand the taste just combine it with honey, it healed all my heart problem mainly artery problem like a miracle, drink it at least once a day after eating (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) or at max three times a day: Don't forget to dilute it with water first to prevent damaging your tooth due to its high Acidity level: My Dose per drink is mix 5 ml (teaspoon) ACV with 150 ml of water (30 times the ACV weight) and 2-3 teaspoon of honey or if you are in a mission on weight loss or artery healing then don't add honey to reduce your total calories intake! May whoever read or pin my comment have a healthy & happy family life! Aameen!

Drinking from a straw frequently will cause "smokers lines" around the mouth. I own a med spa and that is a reason a lot of people feel that they need lip filler. The lines around the mouth can be difficult to treat.

Don't see why dilution is a problem since you are diluting the vinegar in a whole glass of water anyway. I think the acidity level is a better indicator, which is usually 5-6% (before you dilute it further).

You are so right about statins they’re poisonous to the body. There is an old saying that is very true and I learned it the hard way you are what you eat.
The ideal time to drink ACV is prior to a meal, not after. It will really help people will insulin resistance . If you carry weight in your abdomen you have some insulin resistance . "pre diabetic " means insulin resistant , so drink it BEFORE you eat :)

Thanks for sharing your experience with ACV. Just want to point out a couple of things that might be misleading for some of you. Such as drinking ACV just after eating or just before bed might cause irritation. It's better to drink your ACV empty stomach in the morning or before your meal or at least an hour before you go to bed.

I just figured out I've been adding apple cider vinegar in my ice cubes for cold drinks. I think it's the acv.

I have been drinking Bragg apple cider for the last 6 months and it had been fine until recently, the bottle of Bragg apple cider I bought was apparently diluted with water. It was very watery when I drank it and its color was a lot lighter than before. I regret not having checked the ingredients on the label when I bought it as I really didn't expect all this sudden change. I swear I will never ever get their apple cider again whatsoever.👎
I started drinking ACV after reading the Glucose Goddess book and ACV was one of her ten hacks. I wasn’t diabetic but wanted to decrease sugar spikes since they’re bad for you.

I am so happy to see these types of videos from you! I am glad you are starting a series.
Dr Jason Fung, the doctor that basically invented intermittent fasting, has an entire chapter in his book The Obesity Code about vinegar and fermented foods. SO good for you.
Dr fung says it doesn't matter what type of vinegar it is
Fasting wasn't invented by anybody.
I'm sorry but stress INCREASES acid production. It may cause heartburn and if you add ACV on top of it you may develop a stomach ulcer.
Here’s the low down on how stress affects stomach acid:
Stomach acid GOES down with stress.
Lets review:
Stress leads to decreased blood flow to digestive system including the stomach…
which leads too lower HCl…
which impedes the signal to close the LES…
so the stomach stays open…
and what little acid is in the stomach comes up and irritates the esophagus causing heart burn, reflux and indigestion.

I didn’t know there are anti wrinkle straws …. Mind blown! Ordering some now :)
So true. Braggs has been watered down by corporate
Carry on!❤
Not really true people make fatty unhealthy foods from scratch the hard way. People just need to eat right no matter what
Why are her teeth so bad if she doesn't eat sweets? She said she has so many issues with her teeth.
I’m so excited that you’re going to start doing this as a series!!! Thank you so much!
Yay I'm so glad you're excited!!!!
You can get Braggs with the mother in pill form as well.
Yea Geeze People 🎉😂❤
I find using a straw makes it swirl around my teeth more… I just drink it down in a few swings and rinse with water.
@@suzisaintjames how much water and ACV do you use in your glass????
It breaks your fast? I was told by my doctor it doesn’t. I’ve also looked at a ton of videos that says the same.
Were you diabetic
@@Dolphin_457 wow that's amazing. Well there are certain things to consider tho. I'm a female & a strict vegetarian too. I'm already insulin resistant unfortunately, I have pcod. There's a lot of visceral fat that's for sure, & that's my main top most concern as of now. As I know that reducing fat percentage is gonna lead to positive blood work results next. Is my approach okay? What do you think about it & what would be your advice or treatment plan for me?
You might not be a doctor or a nutritionist I know, but I'm just asking for some friendly suggestions & recommendations..
@Vetriyas no, no diabetes. In fact, my A1C is 4.8, my fasting insulin is 4.3, and fasting glucose of 72
Have a great day. Enjoy.

Although when it happens I feel like the Loch Ness monster from the excruciating pain that happens in my lungs and chest, the only thing that will neutralize the reaction from burning and chocking me half to death is to down a shot glass straight up of ACV.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, you really makes a difference!

if you can't stand the taste just combine it with honey, it healed all my heart problem mainly artery problem like a miracle, drink it at least once a day after eating (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) or at max three times a day:
Don't forget to dilute it with water first to prevent damaging your tooth due to its high Acidity level:
My Dose per drink is mix 5 ml (teaspoon) ACV with 150 ml of water (30 times the ACV weight) and 2-3 teaspoon of honey or if you are in a mission on weight loss or artery healing then don't add honey to reduce your total calories intake! Drinking from a straw frequently will cause "smokers lines" around the mouth. I own a med spa and that is a reason a lot of people feel that they need lip filler. The lines around the mouth can be difficult to treat.
How should we workaround this? Not damaging teeth and avoid smokers line
I don't think drinking one glass of water per day can create that...but if you're using a straw all day maybe

Don't see why dilution is a problem since you are diluting the vinegar in a whole glass of water anyway. I think the acidity level is a better indicator, which is usually 5-6% (before you dilute it further).
