Grew up on Stapleton Rd back in the 60s. Had the best childhood ever, so much fun and adventure. Fond memories of getting up to all sorts of things with all my friends. Kids today don’t know what they’re missing 👍

Although Montpelier is pretty safe, there are frequent stabbings in Grosvenor Road. 200 yards further up the road in the park featured in 7:50, there is open cannabis dealing which is the source of most of the violence. The block of flats at 4:10 is where my mate Louis lives. Louis recently served a prison sentence, from which he emerged much chastened, after his dog seriously injured a visitor. 06:19 is the area I think of as Little Mogadishu, since it hosts a lot of Somali families who moved here fleeing the Somalian civil war which began in 1989. I walk through here multiple times weekly on my way between home and the City Centre, and have never felt unsafe.
I've grown up in and around St.Pauls all of my life as my family moved there in the 60s from the carribean and I've not once ever heard anyone refer to it as "stab central" 🤦🏽♂️

I don't care about the reputation that st Paul's and stokes croft has. Most of the time it's an amazing atmosphere bristol will always be my favorite city. Alot of the older generations round there are very wise. The world would get along alot better if we take the time to understand each other.
