Boy the clubs and pubs that I went to in Melbourne Australia in those days were nothing like this! And for that I am truly grateful 😂. Saw one brawl in my life in our country town that spilled out onto the roadway and the boys from the police station ( where I worked my self at the time) had to come and sort it out but no harm was done, just guys pushing each other. As a female it was interesting to watch and the guys just looked ridiculous. Never seen a female brawl in my life. And no ecstasy or any other drugs, we must have been so tame. We went to good pubs though to see live bands and that attracted a different crowd I think. Testosterone has a lot to answer for, all of these crooks trying to outdo each other. This is why we have wars 🤣

    • @leesaunders9102

You like femboys then? These bouncers kept a lot of people safe, thank god for testosterone. Rather live in a world where men are ready to fight and die than cower under a table and whimper.

I agree with you, and especially regarding pubs/clubs that played live music or other forms of entertainment for the customers, and then there's the other kind of pubs/ (night)clubs) where if y're lucky you'll walk back out of on y're own two feet, and all y're teeth still in tact lol. I'll stick to the ones that play live music thanks. 🎤🎶👍🍻✌🇬🇧

@@davehall8921 the crowds to see bands were not looking for drugs to keep on dancing all night, we just wanted to enjoy the bands for a couple of hours. Sometimes there was more than one band but still nothing like a rave. Melbourne had a wonderful live music scene in the 70’s (AC/DC with the one and only Bon Scott so many times as a teenager) and through the 80’s with so many great bands (Aussie Crawl, Men at Work, The Angels, Icehouse, Midnight Oil, we were spoilt for choice every weekend. It was a brilliant time to be alive! 🇦🇺 Best wishes to you.

As a 60 year old born & bred Deptford SE8 lad (and still here) and massive Millwall fan, I remember many doorman back in the day in the Old Kent Road and Bermondsey pubs/clubs/wine bars/spielers we "frequented" and in those days doorman were mostly local hard men who were brutal at times lol.
But luckily I didnt come across the celebrity bouncers like Lenny, Mr Kelly and the Russians thank fucc. They were not to be played with especially by a 10 stone waif like me 😅
Harry Haywards club in Deptford was our regular club and he was a character shall we say but he looked after his own so we had great times in there.
The Arifs club in the OKR was one not to fucc about in as well.
Enjoyed this one my friend and the stories from Mr Kelly in particular shows who was watching them doors and what they could do if you stepped out of line....!!!

The Henry Cooper, The Dun Cow, The Kentish Drovers, World Turned Upside Down, Green Man, and lots more pubs on the OKR and The Fort in Bermondsey was a bit lively so was the The Fellmongers.

To be honest, Russian men are built better and have muscles, steroids, or not. They live in harsh areas in russia and surrounding countries, which is why the men are bigger. They are also required to do the army training by the conscript process. This makes them keep a fitness regime this more desirable to hire.

About 15 or so years ago I helped with security which the company was owned by my uncle and his Russian partner, Gary my uncle had done door work for years and along side my father in law had the door at the room at the top and Camden pali, along with Lenny, so they had a bit of history but Uri the Russian partner was a power lifter in his past and even though I was big his arms were bigger than my thighs, the team he had like me had no sia badge so we were only called if it kicked off and at the time we were working festivals so we could go in sort the break up then disappear but to our tents as we were working on a week’s festival, these European guy were lovely blokes and I made many friends and work alongside them and many jobs, but these guys were machines and they would only stop when Uri spoke to them on the radios. I don’t know there history but I know it was no sweeping streets in Russia, I’m still very close with Uri as he is still a partner with my uncle but 2 of the Russians always give me a call to see how I am. Since then, I have become very unwell both physically and mentally but it’s nice to know I still have people like that who call me to check up but also great to have in your personal tool box.
