I just bought mine around the date this was published. 2001 R170. Had 116K now it's up to 119K miles on it. She's definitely a good car if you take care of her. I'm getting ready to change the oil and filter myself. Don't take it to mechanics because they could mess something up and never tell you about it. In fact, it's how they stay in business. If you don't take care of Mercedes the repairs will be expensive. I'm designing some upgrades and modifications for mine. I'll get at least 20 more years out of her. There's not much useful stuff out there about this make, but you did a really great job. I might join you in posting videos about proper maintenance and upgrades specific for this model. Thank you,

very nice but somehow you forgot to mention what oil did you put it in 0-40, 5-30...???

can i ask how many miles your car has and is it reliable looking forward to getting one myself :)
104k and other than the water pump just service parts just look out for rust around rear arches.
what type of oil did you use
