Brian love your transparency never change that to make afew happy at the end of the day yes you are old but i see it as older more wisdom thanks for the tips and tricks
What I love about your channel and your videos, apart from the leaning I get, your a professional detailer and you signed off this video with if anyone has any tips or tricks that can help you and others share them, this is very refreshing to watch as there is alot of my way or the highway with some of these detailers on TH-cam, thanks very much for all your hard work it's really helpful to myself as a hobbyist.willy from Ireland.
Lmao!! You caught that !! It was a long day.. I shoot these videos after everyone leaves. For peace and quiet. Unfortunately, I'am usually spent by then. I apologize. Yes it is good I'am not both!! 😂😂
If the car comes in with horrible hard water spots all over the glass, what works best for me is use some Lime Away on a magic eraser or a good microfiber tower and it will come off. Put some Lime Away on the glass and let it sit a bit then it will come off. Thanks for all your videos! Very informative. Tom
Really cool idea to use the saturated erasers... I'll use that method tomorrow, usually, I spray vision onto MF and rub glass, then use a waffle to dry, then apply 2 coats of H2Go. I learn so many Detailing Efficiencies from you Brian, the traditional methods are often so long winded..
I use a tool that is extendable somewhat of a triangle shape,on the end it has a microfiber towel and pivot point. Just sit and wash no contorsionnist position required, Here in Canada can be purchased at Walmart,I have seen this tool in Walmart,Autozone ect in the USA
I find that magic eraser actually leaves microscratches and swirls on glass (when I use it to clean glass bathtub doors). I’m hesitant to try it on windshield.
Are you sure it's not made of plastic? I've always seen it's hard to scratch a window, especially a windshield. The only time I see them get scratched is from a huge pebble hitting it from the freeway
Hey thanks for the videos. I ve tried many glass cleaning products, stoner, alchimy7, meguiar... with a lot of good quality special glass microfiber using the 2 microfiber techniques, one to clean, one to dry. Despite this, absolutely every products made the windsheld and back rear window more foggy when the weather is bad. I gave up on using products and washed my car glass with water and newspaper for some month, it did the job quite good and the fog in winter was decent, it left quickly as usual with air conditioner, while when i was using stoner or other the fog took much more time to leave. Using water with a little bit of dishwash and vinegar gave good results too but the odor of vinegar annoyed me inside. I watched many videos and tried the magic eraser, i didn't know it was that effective. I soak the magic eraser on water and apply it, clean with the mf and dry with another mf, i don't add other product and the result is satisfying. I repeat the process on all windows of my car with different mf outside and inside (windows, windshield, back rear). Is it ok to use microfiber and magical eraser on rear windows (inside and outside) and on the 3 mirrors ? It seems until now i haven't scratched anything. Thanks
Lol I've detailed cars for almost 15 years and windows have ALWAYS been my least favorite part of cleaning a vehicle! I always dread getting done with everything else because I know its time to do windows!
Extortionist! You killed me with that. Contortionist , I'm pretty sure is what you meant. Gave me a good chuckle. Really enjoying the content , great job, keep it up. 👍
Thanks that’s the video I been looking for how to clean windshield inside and out and like you it’s hard for me to get in there because I’m old too but well done thank you
Had an interesting opportunity to test out Nanoskin's glass cleaner - Lexan windows with light smoke damage. At its standard 40:1 dilution the cleaner removed much of the brownish accumulation of the surface. I hit the Lexan with a lot of product, drenched essentially, as to glide the towel over the plastic and dissolve the schmutz without marring. The followup wipe tuned the towel dark, as did the mop-up. It grabbed most everything pretty quickly. I like the product a lot.
Once you have polished the car, use the polisher on the windows without adding polish. Done after the first polish. Then apply everything you have given to us regarding Magic Erasure technique and sealant. Never ever use any wet sanding to a window as that will change the optics which cannot be fixed.
will the magic eraser scratch the glass? I intend to get rid of the water stain on my windshield as the car is usually parked outside under the hot sun and the water stain is kinda baked in on the glass.
Any suggestions on disposable cloths to dry with? I ask because I have seen directions to NOT wash cloths with detergent. They say there can be detergent residue left in the cloths which will smear your windows the next time you clean.
A couple of questions Sir: first; can magic eraser scratch glass? Second.; does using the magic eraser remove contaminants like using a clay? Thanks, Tom
Good video, if you haven’t tried it. Scholl Concepts ICE gel window cleaner is great. It’s close to a gel consistency so you can spray it inside and it won’t drip on the dashboard. It’s not cheap, but worth the extra $. Gtechniq G6 is also a lot better than almost all window cleaning products I’ve tried
I'm old Old OLD school.......! Was told 40yrs ago about using BonAmi to clean glass and have always had good results. For years I used an "Old School" black wool/felt Chalk Board eraser buffing it into the window, but have just started using the Magic Eraser with the BonAmi. Brian, how does the Angel Wax compare to the old school BonAmi??????
Hi Brian, Hope all is well.!! I have a question. Why is it when I clean glass windows, I always get scratch like appearance when look at a certain angle in the window. Can you please share how to get rid of them. Thanks very much amd I love all your videos..
Another great vid Brian. Any thoughts on windshield wiper fluid? After a good prep like this one would hate to loose it quicly to a pour choice ww fluid.
Great video just asking can u do a video of what u use to clean a inside of a car how many produces do you use like do u use one thing clean all or dif ones thanks Aidan
Got a question person I bought my vehicle from sprayed armoral all over the inside of windshield and i can't get rid of it. Any ideas of something that will take that stuff off. It looks like driving with beer goggles on. Night time driving is horrible
Add a bit of white vinegar to your regular window cleaner. Scrub with the magic eraser... mop dry with dedicated window towel. I dislike the smell of vinegar... but it is so effective... I use it anyway 😁👍🏻
Been using these to remove water spots for a long time when a polisher isn't an option, much better than steel wool. Is there a specific advantage to having the eraser soaking in water for extended periods of time, versus simply submerging them right before use? As in do they work better or degrade slower, etc.?
Don't have it soaking in water like what he said. Always squeeze out water and let it air dry in between using it. (I know your comment was from long ago but I'm mentioning this in case someone else happens to come across it)
I own a residential window cleaning business and a mobile detailing business and on 99% of what needs to be cleaned we use Dawn blue dish washing soap in differing dilutions and a professional mop and handle to clean residential and auto glass. We do use a magic eraser that soaks in the solution bucket when needed. We use a professional squeegee to rinse and dry in one pass. there are lots of different styles of squeegees that will fit most auto needs. We seal the exterior glass on the autos. Hopefully this helps someone.
Will this work to remove rain x repellent from windows and does it leave micro scratches on the glass? The stuffs making my wipers squeak and it's making me mad every time I think of having to put the wipers on, also its making the window blurry on every wipe which is very distracting but also slightly dangerous imo. Toatally regret ever buying rain x, never going to apply to any car I ever own.
In the early 90s I tried Rain-X. I drove on an unmarked road, night time with rain meeting oncoming traffic. You hit the wipers and now you have real fine droplets covering your windshield, turns it white! Scary as Hell!
I notice it didnt show... thank you Daniel! This was the link intended👉🏻www.theragcompany.com/premium-korean-microfiber-16-x-16-blue-glass-and-window-towel/
I'm a big fan of this product. First window cleaner I've been excited about. Can't say that I enjoy the process more, but the results are satisfying. Wish they sold it in a gallon.
I think I will follow this regime next time, I`ll throw a magic eraser in the washing backet with the mitts, I will wash the car and then make a few passes on the windows with the magic eraser, too. Then I rinse and finally maybe pass the windows with a glass cleaner with a mf towel. It seems quiet efficient.
I fixed my windshield problem with...ACETONE ...NO MORE NIGHT OR RAIN GLARE FROM SMUDGES OR THAT FOGGY FILM...:) AND DONT USE A WINDSHIELD WASHER WITH RAINGUARD ADDITIVE IN IT!
Never heard of anyone sealing the interior-side car windows... there's a first time for everything. And does anyone allow people (or themselves) to smoke in cars anymore...really?
Jonnie Bangkok try sealing the inside and let me know how easy it is to clean next time around. Iam just as shocked as you as to how many smokers continue to ruin their car!! I cant complain tho... keeps me busy!
extortionist..LOL I think you meant contortionist :-) another note on the inside of the window try a product called Bug slide it's a one and done product
it is funny the magic erasers:can get into spaces that your hand can't get into but the rag does, to tell the truth it is the sealant spray that does all the work, i have seen people use new paper and cleaning vinegar and got a clean window
Brian love your transparency never change that to make afew happy at the end of the day yes you are old but i see it as older more wisdom thanks for the tips and tricks
Good video - no camera jiggle, plain English and nice clear audio. Thanks.
OMG! After watching your video on glass cleaning I have to tell that it was so easy to clean my sliding glass doors! Thank you!😘

A good technique. I like to clay bar all of the outside windows, then seal them.
I think you mean "contortionist". Good thing you're not an extortionist though! 😂

rockhills might be a communist. Jk
I caught it right away @ 3:56. Hilarious. Had to listen to it 3 times over.
Ha Ha, good get!
😆
3:56 That's my first question when I employ a new detailer..."Are you old? Are you an extortionist?" LOL!!!
Perhaps he is not a contortionist but his videos prove he is no extortionist either... lol. good job man!

Question, when sealing the inside windows, do you need to worry about harming the tints?
Most reputable film manufacturers carry a lifetime warranty. If you want to ruin the film and void the warranty, by all means, apply a sealer to it.
Thanks that’s the video I been looking for how to clean windshield inside and out and like you it’s hard for me to get in there because I’m old too but well done thank you

I do too Felix. Most of them in fact👍🏻
Does magic eraser harm defroster grid?

Do not use a "magic-eraser" on tint
What will happen
Magic eraser is abrasive and it could potentially damage your tint.
I’ve done this for years and works like a champ.
Problems with it... if you chip your windshield, chip repairs won’t hold if you use a sealer.
Another awesome clear video, Thanks!!!😉
Will the magic eraser remove the built up road grime in the areas that the wipers don't touch?

Great video just asking can u do a video of what u use to clean a inside of a car how many produces do you use like do u use one thing clean all or dif ones thanks Aidan
Thanks! Actually I have a playlist of interior videos with different chemicals and tools... watch them all👍🏻
What about using a clay bar on the window ?
Absolutely..... did that in an earlier video. Its a good tip as well👍🏻
Can I seal with Jax Wax Ceramic Detailer? I hope this isn’t a laughably stupid question to ask.
Got a question person I bought my vehicle from sprayed armoral all over the inside of windshield and i can't get rid of it. Any ideas of something that will take that stuff off. It looks like driving with beer goggles on. Night time driving is horrible

Scrubbing Bubbles. I've used that to remove Armoral from my dash.
Glass cleaner with ammonia can remove some serious film too.. works great for glass that has cigarette smoke residue.
This may be a bit late, but scrubbing bubbles will get it off.
Hi, in your opinion will this solve my windshield problem? my windshield is sticky(not smooth anymore). wiper blades even produced a sound.
Hey a great videos always looking forward to trying it this way
I hate doing windows...this is the most effective way for me...so I can move on and enjoy my day.😄
Great video. Would rain ex work for a sealant? TIA
can i use sonax PNS to seal windhield? because is only that i have availiable in my markt
Brian, just wanted to know if I can use the magic eraser with waterspot remover (say chemical guys waterspot remover) to try and clean the windows?
It’s car worship for sure! I hate cleaning windows too. Hey, can I use the magic eraser on the side mirrors?
Brian, have you noticed any difference between the brand name magic erasers vs off brand? Great vid btw. I hate Windows too
I actually prefer the Essential brand... lasts the longest.
@@apexdetail85 where do you get them? They don't have them on their website.

Thanks Brian. A new fan here from Australia. Extortionist; that made me laugh.
😂😂😂 It was a long day..
Thanks for this video. I hate windows! Looking forward to giving it a try
What about tinted window won't the magic eraser scratch the tint?
Are mr clean sponges good. Yes...ok u answered that. Ok so u add cleaner to the eraser. Interesting. Can i dry this w a microfiber towel?
I'm in PA and wondered where you purchase Angel Wax products from?
if it was said or someone asked i didn't hear, can the mr clean magic eraser be used
Try shaving a magic eraser down to 1/2 thickness and affixing it to a tool like the "reach and clean" or similar. Might help with the contortionism 😉
What solution do you keep your magic erasers soaked in?
What about a rinseless wash like ONR
I own a residential window cleaning business and a mobile detailing business and on 99% of what needs to be cleaned we use Dawn blue dish washing soap in differing dilutions and a professional mop and handle to clean residential and auto glass. Did you spray your magic eraser with glass cleaner and clean your windshield glass?
Watch it at 1.5 speed. Short and to the point. GREAT INFO> Thanks!
How does Opti-Seal compare to RainX as far as being hydrophobic?
Both perform alike.... very well. However H2 Go is even better👍🏻
angelwaxnortheast.com/angelwax-h2go/
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to pick up some of that when my bottle of rainx runs out.
I used what you are using for many years... replaced it H2Go 6 months ago.
Picked up a bottle of H2GO and it's fantastic. Could it also be used to seal the inside windows?
You never put the link for the window towels .
I notice it didnt show... thank you Daniel!

Your welcome
Have you ever used the armor all window cleaner. I heard it's pretty good.
Yes, but quite a long time ago. The formula could have changed since then... I will revisit
IMO this is some of the best glass cleaner on the market and it's super cheap.
I will grab some again, thanks for the heads up!! 👍🏻
I'm a big fan of this product. First window cleaner I've been excited about. Can't say that I enjoy the process more, but the results are satisfying. Wish they sold it in a gallon.
Thanks for the tips. I agree that Windows do suck
Brian @Apex Detail
on exterior glass will this method work with paint over spray from body shop?
light over spray....absolutely
Make sure the interior glass does not have aftermarket tinting.
😎🇩🇪🚙
I use cleaning vinegar on the magic eraser...
What do I do when my spray bottles leak in the car?

Hahahahaaa.. you caught that did ya?!? I was going to edit... but I thinks I will let it be to see who is really listening!! 😂😂
Can someone show a video with a windshield that 'really' needs cleaning, because all the ones I see looks fairly clean. Like the information though
