I used to live on 32nd street, a 3 minute walk to the 30th ave station... the sound of the Manhattan bound train passing over brought back SO many feelings of nostalgia! I haven’t been there in about 5 years, but you just brought me back! Thank you!

I’ve lived in Astoria for 46 years so far. I was born in 1972 and I’m still here living in the same apartment after all these years. 4 blocks away from Steinway Street. Wow, this was very interesting to watch to see what you have to say about Astoria. I know Astoria like the back of my hand.

There some about neon in night, as beauty of colors lights and people and long ago to sound of rails as trains move over them in the late night of city that has its magic, I always loved in those day of my youth and New York City, that never sleeps. ... I literally have to watch these videos one or two per day. NOT because they're not good, but because they're SO good!!! I kid you not, I will waste an entire day watching these if I'm not careful and don't pull myself away from the screen. Fortunately I spend all day demolishing buildings so when I get home, this is always a treat. If TH-cam ever goes away, I hope you make a way for us to watch these videos. Heck, if that time came and you had to put them in a series by year and sell them on your own personal site or whatnot, I'd buy the entire series!!!

Astoria!! Love this area for life. I grew up here in the 90s. So much has changed but the energy here always brings me back. Sometimes I find myself just driving by just to reminisce. And yeah the xmas carold lol. Every yr without fail. 38th st street park was the place to be!
I live in Astoria for 17 years and we never had any violent crimes here but since Bloomberg left things are getting very bad. From last 3 years till now, we can’t leave windows open anymore. We have to stay home locked and have to be very careful when walk in streets. I hope it gets better but things are out of control for now. Too bad
Nice to get to know the areas. I think the London train system now runs 24hr but with limited service. It is the oldest train system in the world .Thanks for posting.
To Mark Sofiev.....if you ever get the chance to watch the movie A Bronx Tale.....every storefront and business in what's supposed to be The Bronx.....is actually 30th Ave in LIC and Astoria.....when you finish watching the film.....pay attention to the closing credits.....the producers thank the 30th Ave Businessmens Association.....and list every member business....

I see that Steinway St. is sketchy as ever! I was born in Astoria and I grew up there. I have since moved very far away and happy that I did. It used to be a beautiful place back in the day but now the real estate is sky high , it's not safe and I would never dream of living there again.. just visit.
25:50....Heres where I show my age.....what is now Mt.Sinai Hospital of Queens....is the former Astoria General Hospital....last time I was there....a relative had bypass surgery (that was 1975....and it was dingy back then too)

I had an aunt who wrote my fath er a letter in 1935 when he lived in an apt building on Steinway now it is a store I never lived in Queens I lived in the burbs now I live on a part of Steinway street that runs hookah bars all 🌙 and dont care who they keep up all night one of them is Cafe Istanbul you should have kept walking to show the seedier side of Steinway and how it effects the residents

I live very close to Steinway street and I find it so sad seeing more and more businesses and shops going out of business every month.

The HERO7 is great on its own with Hypersmooth, but I already own the gimbal so why not use it as well for even smoother footage?

For the size of NYC there's way too many dark patches without streetlights while walking. I never understood that. Chicago is twice as lit up.
