    I walk this same route many times.. There's much to see and do along the streets west of Bedford Ave. such as, .Berry St, Wythe St and Kent Ave..parks, bars, restaurants, clubs and hotels..My favorite hotel is the William Vale on N 12th St and Wythe St..check out the rooftop bar. Also, East River Park on N 9th and Kent Ave.. Just behind Peter Lugers's Steakhouse in South Williamsburg, , is the home of the predominately Orthodox Jewish sect ..the Satmars. Very interesting to walk these streets, as well. Nice video..

    • @ssaannddrro
      @ssaannddrro 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Believe me, America would be the last place I'd move to, considering your crime levels, poverty, homeless situation and lousy health coverage. I think I'm in the best country in the world and I'm staying put.

    • @rjames5967
      @rjames5967 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ssaannddrro Healthcare here is crazy. I didn't have insurance for a year after I graduated college and 10 stitches in the hospital plus medication was $5k+ dollars. If you don't pay your credit will be destroyed or they might even garnish your wages. I was joking in my original comment btw. I've only been to Perth, but Australia was great. You have a two-tiered healthcare system, right? Everyone gets basic universal healthcare but you also have a top notch private sector. Seems like that is the best system to me. How much do you have to pay for it tax wise?

    • @ssaannddrro
      @ssaannddrro 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t even have private health cover because if an emergency happens you’ll go straight to hospital, no matter what. For what it’s worth, top private health for two people would work out to about $250-$300 per month. I’m sorry if I was a bit harsh, but I’ve been to the States three times and I’ve got friends there who I correspond with regularly and it absolutely saddens me seeing your middle class disappear and the incredible homeless situation that exists there.
      My friends took me for a tour through Skid Row in LA and I couldn’t believe what I saw. That sought of thing just doesn’t exist in Australia. Also, people make $20 to $25 per hour working in menial jobs here and they can double that rate on holidays.
      America’s a great place but you’ve got a lot of very serious problems.
      Believe it or not, Malta is a country I would move to. I’ve been there on holidays and I think it’s even better than Australia.
      Anyway, best of luck.

    Just so you know, the Art Scene was booming in the 1970's when we were playing the clubs in Manhattan. CBGB's, Max's Kansas City, etc. There were artists such as myself and we had a loft on Hope St and Keap St where many important NYC bands and artists came out of. The building 430 Keap St is no longer there but it was an old factory and it produced the punk band, "VD" and "Mrozinski; The Man and the Band" came out of and we had a #1 hit record in Milan, Italy in 1980. The lead singer from the band "Living Colour" used to rehearse there as well as the band "Bad Finger" during the late 1970's. Jayne County used to rehearse at 430 Keap St and many others. I was a student at Pratt Institute and I recorded many of my movie sound tracks at the loft. So much more artistic history that no one knows..

    At 25:00 you where very close to the area where Sergio Leone shoot a lot of scenes for his movie 'Once upon a time in Amerika' 37 years ago. I hope i can visite this place one day. I knew a guy who took part in the movie. But he was not in NY, just in Rom. He is a singer named Ryan Paris, known for the song 'Dolce Vita'. He was my neighbour so to say. Question... As NYC neighborhoods transition to higher wealth residents , where do the workers that work in the back of all those restaurants (bus/dishwashers , cooks etc. )and all of the store clerks live? . Surely they don't live in neighborhoods where they work.

      They live in all different parts of the city. Some live where they work, some commute from the far reaches of the city.
